yes, the Errea truck was great last year too ... we were able to pickup a strip for the little guy before we headed back to Canada. Are Errea treating us better or have they just got their act together ?

His expression is also way cooler than anyone else in the picture .... you can almost see him thinking how 'assertive' he would be had he still been a player

Who would you like to see at ICT next season?
Scotty replied to Alan Simpson's topic in Caley Thistle
Long term injured (achilles and then dislocated shoulder) and coming back with a point to prove .... provided we are giving ourselves a bit of an out clause so we dont have someone on the long term injury list if he gets crocked then that might be ok. As others have said .. young and upcoming players or those coming in with a point to prove are, and always have been our forte ... -
Special General Meeting - Rescheduled date
Scotty replied to ICT Supporters Trust's topic in Caley Thistle
I agree that it could get lost, but there are ways to make it prominent in the newest version. As you say, something for the elected board to decide after the next meeting. just putting it out there as an option. no skin off my nose either way. -
I think this is where we post this photo ...... but in all honesty ... He will always be a player that divides opinion within the support. Never going to be a club 'legend' but should certainly be remembered as a skillful and important player for us. I have no animosity towards him going to County (again) especially as football is a short career and he has to look after himself and his family first and foremost. If Roy is going to dig deeper than us then he would be foolish not to accept that. Thanks for what he did ... no move on with our own squad re-shaping.

Special General Meeting - Rescheduled date
Scotty replied to ICT Supporters Trust's topic in Caley Thistle
Don/Laura/Whoever - as noted there are a growing number of threads ... Would it be prudent to add a CJT subforum or perhaps even a 'clubs' page which can have its own separate sub-site entirely (see here). This would keep things tidy and may have other benefits down the line with making forms or other documents available. The offer is there, if its of interest then we can work it into the summer upgrade plans. -
hopefully thats it fixed .... or at least its displaying now and the solution was relatively simple ! As part of the summertime upgrade we are in the process of moving all pages from http:// to https:// . The original page we pulled through from the stats domain was http:// and the secure pages on the main site would not display it.
-
Thanks for bringing this up .... Working on it .... but got a few distractions in the real world right now. It will be back up and running as soon as I can devote time to it over the next few weeks. For this issue the problem is basically PHP related. The fixtures/stats side of things needs to be an older version of PHP and the site is now running on PHP7. We need to pull this through slightly differently to get it to work but its in hand. Ahead of that we also need to make sure the GDPR stuff is in place, and as we are now on the latest version of the software I have a lot of other tweaks to do (cosmetic mainly, not to the structure of the site) If you notice anything else not working - add it in here and I will add it to the list. I will be going through every page so should catch most of it hopefully.

then maybe they should re-think it ? I am sure someone will correct me if wrong but I understood that the current mob pay a fee to the club regardless of how much or little they sell? They rent the space, the rest is up to them. The club really has no risk involved so I dont see why the would be setting prices? If that is not how it works then perhaps it should? rent out multiple retail spaces within the stadium on a matchday for a fee and let the vendors fight it out in terms of price or quality.
-
I have always thought that multiple food sellers should be allowed to sell their wares in the gaps at each end of the various stands. More vendors means more competition and (if you are lucky) better quality and perhaps lower prices .... as well as shorter queues. Adding small merchandise stands where fans enter in larger numbers is also a good idea. Maybe a stall that just sells scarves and hats or one that has other limited merchandise.

Dont think its a big thing for TFC fans either ... The club and TicketMaster both take a cut so the ticket holder gets pennies and its applied to your account as a credit for next year !!! Anyone selling just does it on the fan forums with all supporters groups agreeing that the rickets are sold at face value or less. Club are supportive of this it seems. I have electronically transferred tickets a few times (most times i just email the PDF) and I have donated a couple of times but mainly I just use the print option ... although this year I have made more use of the QR code based ticket that comes in the phone app.
-
To add to my previous posts .... just went to print my tickets for tonight's TFC game and this is what TFC offer as options for each ticket, works well
-
not sure why either. have not made changes to (live) site but I am working in background on software update on our development site. happened to me too ..... will try to investigate when I have time. really busy at the moment with real life.

Interesting to note that the underlying provider of the ticket technology is Ticketmaster .... While I am no great fan of TM for concerts, especially the exorbitant 'service' fees for basically no services, my experience of them for football has been the complete opposite and I have nothing that is not positive to say about it. If that's the way that ICT are going then its a good thing IMHO. At TFC our season tickets are sent to us as normal paper tickets but many (like me) prefer to keep these pristine in the overall package that we get with our season ticket stuff. The package is usually commemorative or artsy in nature and the tickets are often well worth framing or keeping for posterity (or for our kids or grandkids to sell later !) . As part of our season ticket "membership" we have an online account manager which is provided by Ticketmaster (and is separate to any personal login you may have for TM). This gives you access to your account to print, sell, transfer or give away your tickets. I have been printing PDFs of my tickets since 2007 and it works great. Last year the TFC app for iOS and Android added a section to access and manage your season tickets. You can now save them to your iPhone wallet (or Android equivalent) and just have them scanned at the gate with hand scanners or you can use the app to show the gate staff the same thing. It works great (as does taking a screenshot and sending to a friend in a text if they want to use tickets). Its a single use barcode so once its scanned its done. From next year, the option to print tickets on paper is going to be removed (in an effort to discourage touts) and all tickets will be electronic entry. Not sure how they will address those with old style phones, or if there are other concerns but for me and all my friends its a really user friendly and easy system to use. I am sure there may be teething troubles ... but once up and running this will be a great thing. I would hope the club do however make it clear you can send your tickets on to friends (if they eventually go down the account manager route) or that you can pass the card to a friend (in the same ticket category) to use as the ticket is already paid for so there should be no harm in 'someone' using it.

a lot of mileage in this story methinks

You are right. My comment about Brexit was because I had seen a few forums and other sites saying they did not need to comply as it was a European law and Brexit would nullify it. They are wrong on both fronts. its introduced this month as you note and thats a year before Brexit. It also seems that this is one of the European laws that will be enshrined in British law once Brexit has happened so burying heads in the sand is pointless. It has been a bit of a minefield to get all the right details and clarity on our legal responsibilities, especially as I live in Canada, have citizenship of both UK and Canada, and our servers are in the USA, with us also utilising Cloudflare for additional security and to serve pages to users more quickly in their locations ..... so to make things easy we are going to tweak things so we are compliant as our main audience is in Europe and we have no issue with trying to treat our user's data with integrity. We are very close to compliant based on the checks I have done and should only need to tweak a few settings to make sure we are not enabling certain defaults, giving the choice back to users. We then have to re-work our terms, privacy and cookie policy and information documents.

Here are the draw results for 2017/18 season to see who receives Liam Polworth's signed shirt from this season just past. WINNER - SIGNED SHIRT : @The_Sponge ~ Please PM me for details on how to claim your prize The names in the hat for each of the seasons are based on the members who joined the sponsorship group each year (see topic linked below). The draw itself is conducted using a random generator website (www.randompicker.com). We have used this same site to conduct all our draws over the years, and have also successfully conducted several test draws on the current data that completed without any issues. The draw is completely and utterly random and no-one on CTO or within ICT has any influence or control over the names that come up. This is important to note as there are people connected with the club and with CTO who have subscribed and are therefore eligible and who will not be excluded from the draw. If anyone has any concerns or questions about this process please feel free to PM me or mention it in the thread below. 2017-18: List of participants 2017-18 Draw Result on the randompicker website

of course he doesn't ... he has SK read it to him while another one of the team peels him grapes allegedly. although he always maintained that it was DP who was the techie guy.

Think I just figured out what our new site logo should be !

With all due respect, I would be extremely wary of a random third party software for this purpose too ..... even if it did turn out to be legit. However, this is an important topic and one we have to comply with too. I have been using ICO.org.uk and the forums of our software providers as our main sources of information and although it is not completely clear how (or if) BREXIT will affect this, there is nearly a full year between the date that this should be in place and the potential BREXIT date in 2019 so its not something to avoid. Its also a pretty decent idea anyway as there should be safeguards and rules on how you handle people's data. Specific to this site - We do not do anything with your data other than try to enhance your experience on the site. We dont sell it, give it away or otherwise provide it to anyone, but I will look to post something in the blogs in the next week or so about this so people can read about it if interested or concerned. If you want to read about it now, here's a few insomnia cures ! The first three from ICO, the last from our software providers. https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/individual-rights/ https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/lawful-basis-for-processing/consent/ https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-pecr/cookies-and-similar-technologies/ https://invisioncommunity.com/news/product-updates/how-invision-communitys-tools-can-help-with-gdpr-compliance-r1052/

I am not going to get drawn into a debate about the minutiae of what is or is not acceptable or what has prompted anyone to modify their views on any given subject. We are mostly adults here and should know when something crosses the line. All I will say is that when it does go over the line and becomes personal then it is unacceptable and will be dealt with accordingly. My post was not specifically aimed at you, as there are multiple pissing contests going on here over the last little while, but yes, your exchange is one of the things that prompted my post. My only interest here is in protecting the site. Recent legal actions over the last couple of years - mainly related to Facebook and Twitter but also acknowledged to be relevant to Forums - has clarified that posters are ultimately responsible for their own content, and should an individual or group feel they have been wronged then their recourse in law is against the poster not the platform. However, having done this for the last 24 years I still regard what we were told all those years ago by the SportNetwork lawyers about our own 'duty of care' as it relates to the platform we provide and I/We always try to strike a balance between allowing all posts and removing content that is inappropriate. Contrary to popular belief we dont remove much (although we may move it) and we seldom ban anyone (mainly spammers who get through our registration process).

There are a few personal battles going on in this - and other- threads from a number of users ..... so this is a shot across the bows to all of those who seek to defame or denigrate other posters as their primary focus. You will be removed from participation in these threads if you persist. Debate the topic, agree or disagree with the post, vehemently if you wish, but please do not let this degenerate into personal attacks. There is a fine line between banter and abuse and we have already spoken to a few people. If anyone wants to have a pissing contest there is a long trough urinal in the gents at the stadium .. that seems like a more appropriate place .. and might even drive up the attendance. Its going to be a really long summer if this carries on and I have too much to do with my own (soon to be) 5 year old and have no desire or time to try and watch over adults that want to behave as 5 year olds.
