  1. I thought it was the guy that scored the goal and then celebrated in the north stand that the ref was going to book then nothing happened. Dont remember Blackman getting booked. Scotty the stand side assist ref was awful last night. Anyone could have done better male or female.
  2. Totally agree. personally I think this has been going on for yrs at Sky and that someone has got their revenge. If it was just the lineswoman thing it could have been classed as banter but the clip of Andy Grey and the tuck in episode is not banter as the female presenter is not laughing back is she?
  3. Dunno what he has done but imo we are a much better team with him in it. I feel last night was the ideal game for him to have got stuck into but Im sure Terry knows better than me.
  4. On sky sports just now just showed grant going off but not what happened so not much use.
  5. Interesting but cant help feeling that its experience we need now.
  6. h-t 1-1 f-t 2-1 1st us Foran 1st them Vernon Crowd 4789
  7. Yes, but their comments didn't go out on air - nor were they intended to. These comments were probably only heard by a handful of people inside the Sky studio - one of whom then nastily, spitefully and vindictively decided to record them and make them public. Career over. End of. Cant disagree with that but seems that there had been warnings before so either stupid or naive.
  8. yeh but he is a total plonker!
  9. Women didnt get him sacked Dougal! I bet it was a man who sacked him. Actually I like watching AG.
  10. Problem is that the private comments were made whilst they had their mics on at work Johnboy. Several others on the media have said that when they have their mics on whether on air or not it is better to always assume that you are being listened to by others. HDee agree utter madness re sacking. Dont think he'll have to sign on though..
  11. dont like loose women myself but it could be argued that the "wifies" are employed to discuss men whilst AG and RK are employed to discuss the footie.
  12. Depends if you see it as just being more streetwise or as cheating really. If you cant beat em join em perhaps?
  13. See another reporter has now been suspended by sky. Richard keys has apologised to the lady in question and it has been accepted. Think they have all been shown to be dinosaurs and really the episode should be closed and everyone should move on. BTW Did you see that Andy Gray earns 1.7 million a year for his work at Sky - nice work if you can get it!
  14. Then walks away for nothing !! Could be wrong but if he starts banging in the goals and gets us a good position in the top 6 it could work out better financially. I think every place brings in more cash. However my prefered option is that he signs the contract offered by us but think that is unlikely now.
  15. Im more than happy to be "stuck with him" thank you. Hope he stays at least until the end of the season.
  16. Are you sure? On the stv news it stated that it would be held at Castle Stuart for 3 years.
  17. Just heard Morag Pirie on sportsound and she explained that to her it doesnt matter if that she is female but that she is just part of the team when refereeing and that the other refs dont care that she is female. dunno if I agree with the private conversation bit. We all have our own opinions but at work different rules apply. eg the Hugh Dallas situation at the sfa. For instance quite a lot of us will participate in emails/texts that are not pc but would not use work email to do this. Anyway will be tomorrows chip paper.
  18. Oh dear my female brain couldnt possible understand the offside rule could it? The assist ref seemed to do ok and surely in 2011 sex shouldnt come into it. Football must be the last place that sexism and homophobia is tolerated. Not a pc person myself but they really should have known better.Think the suspension is a bit of a waste of time as its not really gonna change their views is it really.
  19. Eric seems to play better away from home and this is back to the confidence thing imo. A lot of folk were getting on his back on saturday in the north stand. (esp that guy at the back of section e behind me that seems to find no good in any of our players! even shouted at Ryan Esson for failing to save the penalty!)This wont help his home performance at all.
  20. Agree with what has been said above. However I feel there is a real lack of confidence in front of goal lately and if we could just get past this and start banging in a few again I think things would improve.
  21. Dont think its unfair at all. Foran has suffered a dip of form of late and I think we are all entitled to voice it. I do sort of feel that his own game has suffered since he became captain but I think he always shouted at his teammates even before he was captain. Maybe he is carrying an injury? However discussing on here is very different from abusing players when thery are on the pitch.
  22. voted no but I think its possible. The head says we will just miss out say 7th or 8th. We are definately not in the relagation race unless things go from bad to worse and we simply stop picking up any points at all. last time 37 points put us down and not too far away from passing that now.
  23. did anyone else want Imrie to pull the ball back from A-C and take the pen? At least there would have been points for us on here!
  24. h-t 0-0 f-t 2-0 1st us Rooney 1st them imrie crowd 3678
  25. Learning a second language is a highly useful and the skills required can be applied when learning other languages. I personally would love to be able to speak Gaelic. My grandfather from skye was fluent but my father didn't pick it up. There's a lot of career opportunities within Scotland for young people who can speak the language. I'm not going to get in to a debate with you on how taxes should and shouldn't be spent. I disagree with you. That's all. Wouldnt be much fun if we all agreed top 6 would it? However personally I feel that Gaelic should have to tighten their belts like the rest of us. In normal schools belts are really having to be tightened and there is a question of fairness here.Investment should be made in all our children no matter what language they speak imho.
