  5. Actually my granda was chairman of caley in the 50's and my gran mum and aunt regularly attended games. Footie nowadays has become much more of a family day out but I personally have attended games since 1975. Smee did have copy of In a different league. Not sure where it is. Will have a rake in the loft for you.
  6. A lot of us manage to do both but going to away games all the time is expensive for families especially in the spl. Would be good if there was a season ticket type scheme for going to away matches perhaps with kids getting in at a much reduced rate.
  7. Good to see them listening to the paying punters. Hope they stick to their guns.
  8. Why is no one asking why a young probationer technician was single manned without colleague back up? This guy while morally wrong has been hung out to dry.The issue of breaks has been a bugbear in the sas for a long time and this has been an accident waiting to happen issue for ages.In fact a bet a few of the crews are thinking it could have been any one of them! Im sorry for the family of this lady but I dont think this one guy would have had the skills or training to even start to save her as already stated he was not a paramedic. There probably needs to be a good look at rural medical cover now.
  9. Would like to see Gillet stay and injury free. From what litte we saw earlier he looked promising.
  10. Agree with everything Caley D says especially the horrible game bit. I too am puzzled by how poor we have become. I am hoping that this season is not a reverse of last.
  11. Yes thanks to all concerned. good day with good company. Pity about the footie but as Laura said that was outwith her control lol!
  12. Sit doon song was funny tho lol
  13. Think the match commander should have been more concerned with the dangerous narrow steps to the loos and servery at half time! Everyone was charging downwards at the same time as others going up.Then when speaking to the stewards at half time we were bizarely told we could stand up if we sat down afterwards? Stewarding not as bad as Hibs though. What I would like is to know from the authorites is why when watching telly games ie the edinburgh derby everyone appears to be standing and large numbers are not picked on it seems?

  15. One of the top highlights Georgeios!
  16. 2010 a vintage footie year. The best ever for me anyway.Sorry to see it end but looking forward to 2011.
  17. Thought it was a penalty at the time but after seeing the highlights the Killie player dived! Dunno if it would have made any difference but it certainly killed the game as far as we were concerned.
  18. Me Highlandexile plus 3.
  19. Oh and didnt Alex Main launch "Caley all the way" that year. Remember attending a very boozy lunchtime book launch at the Caley Club.
  20. I recollect being at a big meeting in the Caley Hotel ballroom, chaired by Norman where the speaker was Nat Lofthouse. Lofthouse had considerable experience in club fundraising and the meeting led to the formation of the Centenary Club. I would suggest that for Caley's 8 remaining years and ICT's 17 to date, the Centenary Club has had a massive impact on the way football has unfolded in this city. Certainly by far the most profound spin off from Caley's centenary in 1986. Charles the original scheme was called lifeline because the original scheme saved clubs at the time but because it to was the centenary year the centenary club was born. I also remember going to the ballroom to the official dinner that year. There was a lot of memorablia must look in my loft.
  21. Agree wholeheartedly with Gringo Jnr. Every team has a bad spell this is probably ours and we should prepare for it to last a bit longer too I think. Fan expectations need to come back down to earth a bit and we should be thankful for the points weve got ath the moment. Rig, the way some in the north stand shout at the players no wonder they look nervous playing at home. On away days they dont have to put up with that. Yes home form could be so much better but a bit of a reality check would be good to. Im sure the players dont go out of their way to play badly at home but to hear some youd really think so. I think on our budget weve done great so far and Im sure all the team and Terry and Mo will be working hard to put it right.
