Ah what ever happened to James Richardson? :moon2: Back in the day's of Gazetta I loved watching Parma... what a team; Buffon, Thuram, Dino Baggio, Veron, Crespo, Chiesa, Asprilla... I used to have a bet every year with an Inter fan obsessed with Ronaldo (the fat one) to be fair at the time he was an outstanding player That was when Italian football was by far the best league in the world

Is the re-building process under way?
P&J clicky All sounds very amicable when Terry says it.. CALEY Thistle manager Terry Butcher believes Irish winger Jonny Hayes will excel after the departures of Dougie Imrie and Andy Barrowman this week. The 22-year-old Hayes has shown flashes of potential on the left wing, tormenting First Division defences with his skill and pace. Butcher was not bound by financial necessity when deciding to sell Imrie to Hamilton and terminate the contract of Barrowman before the latter?s deadline-day move to Ross County. The Inverness manager spotted Hayes when the player was in Reading's youth team and is sure the Dublin-born attacker can improve his game. Butcher said: Jonny offers us so much. I think he is going to be a super player. He takes our set-pieces. You generally give the responsibility to someone with a bit of experience. He is only 22 and has no experience of playing competitively at a high level, but he has been tremendous. He has learned a lot this season and developed into a much better player. Butcher is satisfied after trimming his squad and believes fringe players Eric Odhiambo and Robert Eagle are capable of forcing their way into his first-team plans. He said: There was no financial need to sell Dougie Imrie and Andy Barrowman. I was never told by the directors we had to sell players. Dougie's contract was up at the end of the season and Hamilton showed interest in him as well as Kilmarnock. He was a commodity which had a value and it was a chance for him to play in the SPL again. Andy was at the club for some time and had not tied down a regular first-team place. Everything was very amicable with him. Every player needs to play on a Saturday and, unfortunately, he did not have the chance to do that with us. Also, there is still a lot more to come from Eric Odhiambo and, with Dougie Imrie going, it opens it up a bit for him to come through. Robert Eagle will also have a chance. Are we making something out of nothing??? or is this a smoke screen???

Pre match bonding session this Sat
Would have joined you lot but got a game through Kilbirnie before hand and it's quicker for me to drive through to Killie from there rather than come all the way back to Glasgow. I've got a few mates heading from Central so I'll let them know where you are...

And if you enjoy women? My wife disagrees with the equivalent stance. It's often said though that in his life, a man can love many women but only one football team. I am football's equivelant to Bob Marley ;)

I hate the idea of people trying to tell me (anyone) who they can or can't support. I've been influenced/followed many teams across europe and tend to vary my opinion every season. I'll always follow ICT because they are my local team but I used to have a affection for West Ham in the early 90's when Harry Redknapp was incharge and they were producing the likes of Lampard, Ferdinand, Defoe, Cole, Carrick... the legend that is Steve Lomas... supported Ajax because I liked the strip and Edgar Davids... Middlesbrough for a while when Juninho was showing people how football should be played... Chelsea when Zola showed that size doesn't matter ;) ... Leeds when Viduka, Smith & Kewell were making their way to Champions league semi final... Any team that plays Scottish players i.e. Birmingham & Everton now-a-days. I've always had an admiration for Man U just out of appreciation for one of the greatest managers to ever live (Paisley & Shankly were before my time) If you enjoy watching football what's the point in limiting yourself

Well said Scotty..

Team For Killie
I think Wyness could do that job... for the remainder of the season anyway :024:

Stadium ownership
.... they make it sound like an inconvenience to transport... i.e. things would be made a lot easier if they built a road through it (possibly jumping to conclusions there though)

Best player to-day
Name a viable alternative then

Good read Scotty... certainly a lot more detail than the official site.

Ex-ict Players Score
Aye, Don seems to be doing really well at Watford. How long before a Premiership team come in for him I wonder ? :024: he's a bit off that I think, Watford hadn't won a game in 8 before last night's result..

I've always been a massive fan of Robbie Keane, terrific player and it's not great seeing his career tarnished just because he moved to one of the evil sisters.... but I think having a player of Keane's quality playing in Scotland can only be a good thing for the SPL. Hopefully some more quality players follow suit or the ones that are here already (i.e. Kilmarnock last night) up their game had to laugh last night though

Ex-ict Players Score
:024: To be fair he has 5 in 5 from cup games and I don't know the sort of opposition Brechin were up against, still, I'm glad to see him enjoying his football I can't imagine he would want to come back to ICT but you have to be impressed with that record especially when his team aren't exactly dominating the division and he is only 22 yrs of age.... I think there will be a lot of teams taking note of his progress .... and hopefully a few of our own fans questioning why they were so quick to dismiss him (infact, taking pleasure in humiliating a young ICT prospect)

Is the re-building process under way?
reading between the lines of Caleyrule's posts we are going to have new owners in place soon and that's why no contracts have been offered and no further investment is being made into the club... ... maybe Terry's going to spend his vast amounts of media revenue on a takeover bid :024:

Come off it mate, I don't care how busy Fiona was that is a p!ss poor attempt of a report, which was also 12 hours behind what everyone else knew. "The club have confirmed the transfer of Dougie Imrie to Hamilton FC and the release of Andrew Barrowman from his contract. We would like to thank both players for their service and wish them all the best in their furture careers." It looks more like a statement of disinterest than an update

New announcer dude on the park
I think you're missing the point and trying (very hard) to start an arguement even when you haven't read all the facts.

- Masterminding the downfall of Kilmarnock
Being as positive as I possibly can here... am I right in thinking Calderwood has only ever lost 1 game to us?? Before he was made manager I was very very confident but now I'm not... he is a complete and utter pr!ck and always seems to get one over us.- Barrowman joins County
Course he will, and guarenteed to score against us.... f*cking terrible signing, I wonder if it was Grassa or Brewster who was responsible for that gem. Must have cost the club an absolute fortune for a player that scored goals in 2 divisions below... I can't believe that the club let him hold us to ransom over wages I thought he could have been good for us if he was played in a front 2 but he was never given a run of games in that position and to jump 2 divisions and be asked to play lone striker in his first season was never going to work out. I don't think there has ever been a better demonstration of how amateur our board are.... sign a player from 2 divisions below, offer him massive wages and then when it doesn't work out pay his remaining contract so he can be released to our rivals (currently sitting higher in the league) where he will, without doubt, recapture his goal scoring form- Imrie
I like Imrie and think he was a player that had a genuine affection for the majority of our fans/Inverness. I'm sure the recent section G hate campaign probably made up his mind but he was a player that left everything on the pitch and had some character (which you don't often see from a lot of players these days) My main problems with him as a player are, he doesn't have a natural position i.e too slow for the wing and not affective when played upfront. He was too inconsistent, injury & suspension prone, however, when he was on form he would win a match for us and showed some tremendous skill & some terrific goals I always expected him to leave because he is a sellable asset and at the moment the club is pinching every penny but if they were going to sell him it should have been before the start of the season when he would've sold for more money and it could be reinvested, not on the last day when there was no oppertunity to sign a cheaper alternative!!!! (take breath) All the best to Dougie, he should enjoy the remainder of time Hamilton have left in the SPL (wont be long)- New announcer dude on the park
3 things... 1. ... that is f*cking brilliant :) 2. Sorry to hear you've been ousted CD, sounds like a shoddy way of being treated, not only as an employee (paid or unpaid) but as a fan who has contributed so much throughout the years and then to be dumped aside because of a few comments is ridiculous. 3. Cyril's a c0ck :) - Masterminding the downfall of Kilmarnock
