Butts in seats.....
Ha ha ha ha ha! Dad and 2 kids = ?20 entry, ?2 parking, ?2 program, ?12 at half-time = ?36 for an evening watching ICT v whoever in a meaningless (unless you get to the semis or final) cup. Definitely not a cheap night out.

A wind of change?
The obvious problem with merging the Angus clubs for example, is that each of the 4 clubs is situated in a small town miles from the other (Arbroath 22785, Montrose 10845, Forar 13206, Brechin 7199. Is a Montrose fan going to want his club to merge with Arbroath??

Old Scottish Grounds
(This pic is accredited to Mike Troughton and Mantis) Possibly reduced to concrete dust in 1996?? Looking at the state of the goalmouth area, I'm guessing that the Howden End pic was taken in the Autumn, probably taken in the Autumn of 1996 as a record of our old ground.

Old Scottish Grounds
Yeah I should have made sure the pic info couldn't be viewed by right-clicking. Great pics on your Grounds for Nostalgia page.

A wee quiz to pass the time. Who played here? (This pic is accredited to Mike Troughton and Mantis)

A wind of change?
If the league structure has to be changed, the only viable option is 14 teams with a 6/8 split after 26 games as CaleyStan says. Clubs would play each other twice post-split giving 36 games for the top half and 40 for the bottom half. This solves the problem of teams having an uneven balance of home and away fixtures. The problem for the likes of ourselves would be fewer games against the top sides, assuming we don't finish top 6.

Tuffey in NI Squad
I must be needing glasses because I see no mention of Tuffey in that article. :piano:

If you could ressurect ANy ex ICT player
Defo Iain Stewart. The most natural goal scorer we've ever had. Feel sorry for younger fans who never saw him at Telford St or TCS. Believe me, he lit up the place.

Foran Faux Pas
Come on, does anyone actually believe Foran wrote this? Would any player refer to the 1st division title as the "Irn Bru First Division Trophy"? Obviously written by someone else and approved by Richie.

new signings?
That's a joke in pretty poor taste, and not even remotely funny.

new signings?
On the contrary, the term <my racist comment> is used by Tottenham fans to discribe themselves (<my racist comment> army). It, I suppose, will be offensive to some, or some will be offended on others behalf as is this PC world now, but to say its unacceptable is not strictly true. Spurs fans on <my racist comment> Army It is commonly used by Jews among themselves, a bit like the N-word is used by blacks speaking/referring to other blacks, especially in the US. I would be wary of using it if you are not Jewish, or a Spurs fan speaking to another Spurs fan!

SPL Teuchter Welcome - deal with it!
Pretty fair article I thought. I do though wonder at some central-belters who think a trip to Inverness is a major expedition. I regularly bomb down to Glasgow/Edinburgh for a day, leave early...day's work...home in the evening. They are spoiled rotten down there as far as travelling to most away games goes.

World Cup Fantasy Football League
Hi All Metro.co.uk have got a Fantasy Football competition running for the World Cup. I've set up a minileague called ICT Online, which anyone can join by registering at the Metro site, picking a team and click on "join minileague". The league pin number you need is 8006821. This was a great laugh during Euro 2008. As I remember, all participants donated money to charity and Alex MacLeod kindly donated a new ICT shirt to the winner. I would like to do this one in a similar format with a view to raising ?160 to buy a Wii console (or something else if they have one already) for the Childrens' Ward at Raigmore. Please note you do not have to donate anything to participate. I would suggest a ?10 entry fee but donate whatever you feel comfortable with. I haven't sorted out anything with regards to actually making a donation. Will do so if there is enough interest. Cheers

ICT to Move?
OxyMORON! I doubt ICT will relocate any time soon, if ever. If it were to happen though, it's got to be to the Bught. Walkable distance from the town centre pubs, which Holm Mills is not. Going back to Charles' point about gridlock, this wouldn't be such a problem as fewer people would take the car due to the proximity of the Bught to the town centre. The Race For Life event probably had a lot of people from out of town who would have driven there out of necessity. If Hearts can manage it with 15.000 in a built-up area then I'm sure we can with 3,000 - 4,000. Never happen though.

ICT to Move?
There is more chance of the A9 being dualled all the way to Thurso (remember that one from 2007?) than of us having a new stadium in the next 10 years. Forget about it. heard it many times before and it ain't gonna happen.

HA HA @ C*unty
Probably the worst performance by any team ever to contest the Scottish Cup Final. What was it, one half-hearted pishy effort on goal. A total embarrassment to Highland football. These useless feckers should get demoted back to the Highland League for that "performance".

Ross County
Well said! What a season. We win the league while Dundee and County are completely humiliated. Perfect.

Jonny Hayes IRN BRU Player of the Month April
Nice video. Are the goalkeepers in Malta aware that they are allowed to handle the ball?
- Ironic !

Player of the Decade
Definitely Iain Stewart for the 90s. Tokely or Wilson for the 00s

First Division title winners history
Also since league reconstruction in 1994: 1995 Raith Rovers 69 1996 Dunfermline 71 1997 St Johnstone 80 1998 Dundee 70 So the average points to win the first division since 1994/95 is 73.7. Guess it's just been an average season then. :) Doubt Hibs' record points in 1999 will ever be beaten. To average 2 and-a-half points per game over a season is amazing.
