  1. Never said that there was anything wrong with optimism - confidence and winning are a potent force - both on and off the park. Those qualities have to be harnessed. It is the "over" that I am concerned about. Perhaps this is a better example for you : ?I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.?
  2. Does this mean that we have got off it once again ?!!
  3. ?Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.?
  4. What about a Remove the Muppets campaign ?
  5. As the resident psychologist I have to point out the outbreak of overoptimisitis on this board. It is apt that I have just returned from a lecturing trip on this subject from the Far East where I studied a Phillipino sample. The lesson I learned was that you get fecked if you get too confident. Look closely at the following words : Raith Rovers - Greenock Morton - Queen of the South - Dunfermline - Ayr United and Dungdee - repeat ten times Then look at the words - possible, doable, achievable, conceivable, feasible, attainable. - repeat twenty times. ?Time is swift, it races by; Opportunities are born and die... Still you wait and will not try - A bird with wings who dares not rise and fly.?
  6. I believe that it is now possible - I believe that it is now in our own hands - but I will believe it when I see it as sadly I dont believe that we have the squad to cruise to the line.
  7. Personally I have maintained an overall faith in TB throughout the season - mainly because I feel that if we do stay in the SFL then his presence will suffice to keep the large majority of the squad and we would be in a better position to go up the season after. I would now say that his ability to attract loan players and youngsters if we do make the SPL also pleases me - to a degree - but it rankles that we would have to rely on loans to get us through. Personally I would rather focus on the here and now.
  8. I believe its not the first time that I believed but I believe that I wont start really believing this time until the belief is reality because I believe that my belief was stronger before and I believe that we had a better and more prepared team and club management system the last time around. However I believe that the present day squad and the team management deserve nothing but praise.
  9. I am reliably informed that Glasgow City Council are planning to temporarily re - open a site in Rodney Street, Maryhill in order to make the Tinks feel at home. :004: But they have also issued a warning and guidelines to the travelling Tink hordes: :020: :018: CODE FOR GYPSY TRAVELLERS IN GLASGOW Glasgow City Council accepts that Gypsy Travellers may choose to adopt a nomadic lifestyle. However, the Council believes that the adoption of this lifestyle does not exempt Gypsy Travellers from the general principles of being a good neighbour as described in the Council?s Good Neighbour Charter. The Council will liaise with Gypsy Travellers to encourage adherence to these principles. If difficulties remain unresolved an unauthorised encampment may be evicted if it: - creates a hazard to road safety - creates a nuisance to the general public by nature of its location, nature or duration, e.g. by staying too long - creates a hindrance to the development of Council owned or privately owned land - creates an intolerable impact on the enjoyment, use or habitation of adjoining nearby property - causes damage to land or property - causes pollution to the environment or potential harm to human health, e.g. by excessive fouling or dumping.
  10. Lets get Rory de Lap on loan.
  11. Having a fitness freak as Asst Mgr may turn out to be invaluable for them. Having a freak as Asst Mgr may turn out to be ruination for them.
  12. Looks like the Ides of march will now be April Showers - My contact suggests the out of court deal is practically sealed and the SPL and FIFA in "talks" as well. Lets face it - It will NEVER be revealed what actually happened.
  13. A prompt, truthful and revealing response from the Muppets ? - Yer having a feckin laff. :004:
  14. The answer of course is YES - BUT - A.. Are we ready to go up ? B.. Do we want to go up ? C.. Why would you want to stay in the SFL ? D.. Will it be a case of the yo-yo factor ? ME: A - I dont think that we are - neither in regard to the squad that we have, the off field management and the financial situation. We have too many players who have gone past the SPL sell by date. B - Of Course we feckin do - if anybody says that they dont they are feckin cuckoo - SPL is where it is all at - you are in the limelight - the crowds SHOULD be bigger - it should be better financially - and we should be able to attract players due to the Butcher appeal. It may though actually save us in the long run - especially if we survive. C - It is better craic on the terraces - cheaper away days - no OF. I worry that the Muppets will feck it all up again. D - All depends on who we could attract - I hate loan deals but that would probably be the only solution to our survival.
  15. I will do Morton, Dumbfries and Hair away - that should put me up to the 90% mark again. :D
  16. Nope - just about to. :D
  17. Butcher was sacked earlier in this season.
  18. I reckon that mine is bigger than Brosnons - just ask his huskies.
  19. I have been very quiet fer yonks - as I have been working extra hours and appeasing (and pleasing) Mrs IHE in order to enjoy the sight seeing in Hong Kong. I will sign on in the Wan Chai Internet Room ( a bit different from the usual) and normal transmission will return at Morton, Dumbfries, Hair and Dungdee in sneck. Gringo - whats the best way to get to Dumbfries and Hair by choo choo ??
  20. What about looking at a footie version of the rugged Stade Francais top
  21. Has anybody else woke up with five inches but found an extra three inches a short time later ? :024:
  22. So we are on the march then.
  23. I have just had this strictly confidential report from the Highland Health and Safety Department leaked to me: Aquifer level falls 60 feet in Inverness City, triggers sinkholes By Neil Johnson Inverness Health and Safety Committee Publication: Strictly Private and ConfidentialLexisNexis Date: Friday, February 19 2010 Feb 19-- LONGMAN ESTATE,INVERNESS -- A rash of sinkholes opened in the Longman Estate where groundwater levels plummeted as the local football club fought to utilise its Undersoil heating system. Two sinkholes discovered early this morning near the Tulloch StadiumLake Wales closed part of the INV 27 pipe system. Officials do not know how long the system will be shut down. Groundwater levels around the Stadium where sinkholes damaged the USH system and two stands on Friday dropped dramatically after Tommy Cummings turned on the emergency aquifer release pumps nearly every night since Feb 13 to protect the stadium and the pitch. The aquifer level in some places fell 60 feet since the string of freezing nights started, said Robyn Felix, spokeswoman for the Highland and Islands Water Management Department. The return of the Aquifer :024: :(
  24. Said it all before - the club have the legal and financial backing of the SPL on this one - but NOT the tother - they may well have done their sums in regard to the money kept under the mattress and it wont come out in the dirty wash. And as fer their statement - give me a feckin break - read it and weep. :024: :(
