ICT -V- HEARTS - Matchday Thread
WOO HOO!!! :021: Just back from the game with a huge grin on my face. I thoroughly enjoyed waving good bye to the Hearts fans as they streamed away when our second went in Great second half performance from the team and some great individual displays. Cowie especially deserves a special mention he seemed to be everywhere and looks ultra fit. I feared the worst at half time I must admit but whatever was said in the changing rooms certainly did the trick. I didn't think it was going to be our day as we seemed to pass up chance after chance but fair play we stuck in and I really do think we merited the 3 points today Shame Gretna had to go and win though Well done ICT onwards and upwards :clapping03:

Injuries.....
Just an opinion and I should have probably said he isn't a first team contender at this moment in time

Injuries.....
Hastings may get a good bit longer to recover than he had hoped for with McBain doing so well at Left Back. Of the rest I think the only one we could do with having available right now is Hart. Having him available to replace Wilson for the last 20-30 mins of any watch would be a huge boost. Mcbain is no defender for the simple reason he can't tackle. Hastings is a no brainer for left back. Hart isn't even considered a first team contender anymore when fit so how will he be missed?

CIS Cup Round 3
I wonder if the away support will come in the same car :023:

Next Five Games
Shame we couldn't have played Hearts a few weeks ago when they were playing poorly :029: Here's hoping we give them a hard time next weekend and get our first points of the season :021:

Celtic V ICT - Matchday Thread
Football is all about opinions and we've just been humped 5-0. I'm not bitter I predicted we'd lose 4-0. I don't like it especially as we more than matched Celtic last year but we are really struggling just now. Lining up 4-4-2 against them was tactically naive. We aren't playing well and better teams than us try and shut up shop at Celtic Park. Maybe playing a different system might have made some difference - we'll never know :rolleyes02:

Celtic V ICT - Matchday Thread
Fair play to IHE for trying to blame the 5-0 defeat purely on our Romainian stiker -we all know his predictable ditribe by now and to say it's getting tiresome is an understatemnet. Its an 11 man game and we simply aren't good enough. Perhaps lining up 4-4-2 against the defending champions wasn't the greatest tactical plan in the world (then again is our manager much of a thinker?) but we stuck to it and got humped!! We always play 4-4-2 come rain, come shine, no matter what!1! Surely we should have some tactical nouse by now??? Other teams come to Celtic park to frustrate. We come to throw ourselves on the sword thats fecking naive :018:

5-0!! 20 minutes to go!! :023:

Zbigniew Malkowski
We are trying to avoid relegation aren't we? :029: On his day a great keeper - just a shame that day is rarely a Saturday. Didn't Chick Young say of him he couldn't stop a beach ball going down a rabbit hole! :023: Very odd choice indeed We still need a centre back - the mind boggles who might appear :sillywave:

Team for Hibs Game
From P&J Website..... Defence is the Caley Jags main area for concern as Grant Munro (back) and Richard Hastings (muscle strain) are both doubts for the trip to Edinburgh. On-loan Swansea defender Steven Watt made his first appearance for the Highlanders against the Red Lichties and Brewster may opt to give him his league debut in the capital. Markus Paatelainen will not be included in the Caley Thistle squad due to a troublesome Achilles injury.

Signings
Latest from P&J Website...... Inverness manager Craig Brewster and director of football Graeme Bennett will work up until the close of the window at midnight to bring in new recruits. Promising young midfielder Zander Sutherland has been loaned to Third Division Elgin City until January and the club may offload another midfielder today. Bennett said: "You do not know who will become available. We are looking at both the Scottish and English markets. "We have talked to a few people in the last 24 hours and we are quite confident we will have someone in place before the deadline. "We are in discussions with a couple of clubs and we have our secretary on standby and we hope to do some business before the window closes. "We have an open mind about it. We cannot just keep taking players in, there might also be departures. Zander has gone out on loan and we have had an interest from a club in one of our players, but it depends on what we do as to whether someone goes out."

Can't help feeling we should have signed a defender or 2 long before now. Let's face it we known for months we were short of options at the back. Hopefully we'll get someone in that'll create some competition for places. What I don't want to hear is the 'we are happy with the current squad' line if the window closes and we've failed to get anyone new onboard :029:

ICT V Arbroath - matchday thread
Apart from the stupid goal we gave away we looked alright. Arbroath were pretty fit for a part-time side. My take on our defensive howler was that Caff ducked (I assume someone else shouted?) and then Tokely headed the ball to there man who promptly scored? Very sloppy stuff. Watt looked good in spells and then he would do something silly just as you thought he was cruising. He won quite a few balls in the air but misjudged quite a few more. Pacy he isn't but he did spray a few good passes about. Niculae looked good. Some of his link up play was first class and the goals he scored were sweet. Barry did dive :018: Black looked more assured on the ball than of late and all in all it was a reasonably good win

Congratulations Rory!
Dropped from the squad for the qualifiers

Team for Arbroath Game
Fraser Tokely Watt Munro A McDonald Sutherland Cowie Rankin Vigurs Niculae D McDonald Playing Niculae would do no harm for his match fitness and I'd like to see him paired with Deano up front
-
well, he might aswell play himself
Him and Niculae can have a 'see who runs the slowest' competition :015:

The bad news confirmed
Of course not but he's the man in charge so ultimately the buck stops with him. He has 34 games this season to make sure we finish 11th or above. I'm hoping he's able to manage that!! Also I think if anyone else uses the phrase "call yourself fans" they should donate money to charity. 99% of the posters on here are obviously ICT fans and just because we aren't as enamoured as some 'happy clappers' about Brewsters comeback our loyalty shouldn't be questioned :018:

The bad news confirmed
From BBC online today...... On Sunday, Inverness director of football Graeme Bennett said: "There were three or four different people in the frame and we spoke to a few of them. :014: Anyway Brew is back..... You've been given a second Mr Brewster - don't feck it up :023:

Zander/Zander on loan to Elgin (Merged)
Perhaps he'll get a game tomorrow night?
-
Duncan
He (Hart) wasn't on the bench today as hasn't been for the last 3 weeks
-
Our goalkeeper cover problem to be resolved ?
Fraser looked fine last season after Brown left. Things apprear to have changed :007: Dods has left and the whole back 4 has gone to pieces. The defence has lost confidence and so has our keeper - they seem to be at odds at one another. I don't think all the blame can be placed on the 'new' man Mcaffrey either. Munro loks like the shadow of the player he was last season. We knew Dods was leaving in January 2007 -he hasn't be replaced as of August and we are struggling :029:
-
Duncan
Agreed, both were dire. Black's shooting was absolute bollox. Hart must start against Hibs. Will Hart play for ICT again?
-
Where's our Mascots ?
Quarantine. What with the foot and mouth scare :023:
-
Duncan
For all those giving Duncan a hard time did you fail to notice Black was pretty ineffective today as well?

ICT V Dundee Utd - matchday thread
In defence of McBain (and you will rarely hear that coming from me) he simply shouldn't have been playing at left back. i expected Morgan to get a game and the mere fact he was yet again left out of the squad makes me question if he should just be released?
