Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
Over-indulgence, fire numerous people (without having to follow labour laws or pay compensation) and leave however many small businesses out-of-pocket in their wake, and just get a 10pt penalty? What do the Dundee fans think has just happened? This is a criminal club. Tax crime. Fraud. They have fraudulently attempted to get into the SPL. And Dee4Lie are just as culpable. Now they want to screw over the other SFL clubs again!! No shame.

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
No sympathy. Tax evasion, deliberately and purposely done to try and cheat ICT last year and now Raith, Dunfermline, etc to the SPL. It is simply wreckless egotistical criminal ownership and they have no one to point the finger at than themselves the day they decided to forego a tax bill and instead buy more players or steal a player from another team with money that was not theirs. It's fraud, and should be treated as so.

Return of the Lionel King
Sorry, going to be a miser here, IHE's posts and this one are akin to the The Onion and Daily Mash, i.e.spoofs, but I find it kind of annoying. once, maybe, twice, ok, but the forum is getting lots of these "stories" now - so much so I'm not sure if the real news is real anymore. While once, if someone posted a rumour, the mods would have moved it quicker than lightning, spoofs, seem to be exempt. For me, the increasing number of spoofs kind of damages the flow and integrity of the site. Just my own feeling and I may very well be alone in it!! You are more than welcome to your "fer **** sake mun, get a grip" and "lighten up" posts but it is just one opinion, on something trivial in itself...

FourFourTwo
One of the best things about being back in the SPL is all the media coverage, today I read FourFourTwo. Some of the best bits from the piece was that "Terry Butcher has a decidely mixed managerial record , but does seem to thrive in places where he feels he's wanted and can indulge in his underdog mentality..." and "They should have enough experience and quality in their ranks to retain top-flight status." I won't go into detail, but Fan's View from Murray Considine only had Terry Butcher as 8/10 in terms of popularity. Hamilton's fan gave 11/10...i'm sure that's probably on the wane as is Houston's 10/10. He also picked Rooney and Tokely as players ICT had to keep as his wish. I'd have said Hayes...but tough if back then it was just two to choose from. I'd have given TB 10/10...anyone else?

Cardiff v Motherwell
Cardiff defaulting on payment to Motherwell for 6-7months now for the 180,000 quid remaining of the Paul Quinn transfer. Cardiff, and especially Dave Jones, are very arrogant and incorrectly trying to dress it up as a PR stunt from Motherwell. I wonder of more and more Scottish clubs will suffer similar problems, as more and more Championship teams juggle their books to have their cake and eat it. I'd hope that if ever ICT sold a player to Cardiff, or indeed any club in financial bother, they'd ensure it was payment up-front. I'm sure it will be settled eventually, but is this a sign of things to come? Championship clubs buying players from Scottish teams and then defaulting? That's one team I hope won't be getting promoted...

Worst website for ICT
I was recommended to NewsNow by another person as well, my thinking is that by including all of the third-party sites, the ones noone votes for are by default the best. But my main issue is with sites overlooking teams outside of the Old Firm. They want to regarded as the definitive source of footie info in the UK but are way way focussed on the teams with biggest supports.

Can you hear the noise ?
Despite San Miguel being dead against any incentive, it is not an idea plucked from my hat - it works abroad, it could work here. The more the club ingratiate themselves with the current singing support the better - and to increase people to be in a singing area - offer priority ticketing or some other incentive. This forum is about getting Terry's wish to come true - just talking about it won't make ajot of difference. Allowing standing, more beer, less zealous stewarding, will go a long way, but encouraging people to join a singing section needs an incentive if you want to make a real difference. Works in Japan - any proof to the contrary San Miguel>

Worst website for ICT
I am the same, but I also look at these sites as I am addicted to football in general too, so I need more than CTO. Anyone else?

highlights of games on website
Cup games and things not covered on the BBC would be good. Its a valid point that the BBC now do highlights as well. How does this affect it? The more the merrier in my book.

Worst website for ICT
Having tried to find my one national football website for ICT during the upcoming season, i've been going on to a few. Some of the journalism is excellent, i won't mention any names, but it's staggeringly good. Some on the other hand, appear to be biased, and shockingly, infuriatingly lazy. So, which big third-party football website have you come across that is lacking in the ICT department? And we, or I, can send an e-mail to remind them of their duties... (Caleythistleonline.com/ICTFC/P&J/Inverness Courier/PieandBovril/etc are regarded as different as they have a specific regional tie-in)

Can you hear the noise ?
I've posted this many a time but here goes. Clubs in Japan give discounts, freebies, assistance, priority ticketing, and allow early access to supporters that are in their singing sections. These are always behind the goals, are packed, drums, flags, ticket tape, more flags, lots of noise. If TB wants more noise, then tell his staff to reach out - there'd be no shortage of takers. I'd be more than happy if section G etc were given some sort of incentive/reward in the way of free post-match pint, cheaper ticket, free programme, whatever, to encourage them and others on the fence to crank up the noise. As far as I am aware, the club have not made any gestures similar to this, correct me if im wrong?

Born 4 Sports
The club are missing out on a good revenue source by overlooking this at such a lucrative period. Surely someone at the club had the responsibility for this and knows what is going on. Not a whingeing post, just want to shop online for some ICT stuff.

Born 4 Sports
Been clicking on the weblink from the official site http://shop.ictfc.co.uk/Index.pasp but just get a Not Found message, been trying for a week. Not handy for me to call, i could e-mail but don't know what I want as such...anyone else having same problem?

Dublin Tourney
On this occassion i'm happy nothing was on the site regarding scores or anything. Im dead against leagues/scores being published for under 16 teams. Just let them play, they are miles off being footballers, so just let them enjoy their footie without pressure. Oh, yeah, sorry, this is Scotland....get stuck in, what the **** was that, that was crap, hoof it, get rid of it...

Matchday Pies
The only solution is to stop going to their stall. Go to the van. Things would soon change then. As it is, pies are hardly on the club's priority list, and the caterers just provide mass factory muck at high a 400% mark up, and it gets sold out, no incentive for them to change.

What am I doing wrong?
Probably understaffed. Lots of people got the bullet last time, and I doubt they will have hired much more admin people. It's a thought though - since winning the First Div, what staff have had to be hired?

ICT Squad
Unfortunately Bob McColl passed away in 1959. Anyway, as a forward, the left-back pos wouldn't have been ideal.

new signings?
I think this is an excellent signing! For a few reasons: He was one of the players that pulled Gretna up from the 3rd Division. (Just like Tokely, Munro et al) Has played in Scottish Cup and League Cup Finals. Will be another old head for the many young promising talents to learn wiseness from. Is in a key position and will be pushing Tokely and Munro all the way. Experienced, tall, committed. I thought a month ago when he was released and had 2 SPL clubs interested that I hope ICT is one.

Highlights for pre-season?
:008: Its all volunteers, whenever and whatever they decide to film is a bonus. The old adage, "You can please some of the people, some of the time...."

Under - 16s
Superb achievement. Hope they can keep progreassing year on year and be sold for a million pounds each in 5 years time! Seriously though, very much hoping to see more homegrown youngsters break through, Hibs style.

Score Board
Don't agree entirely there. Any new initiative must be about enhancing the fans experience first and happy fans will spend more thereby increasing turnover. Of course, that should be the goal as always, however the club has to spend money to make money rather than just spend money. The sports bar is an example of ticking both boxes, while price hikes are just about the latter, which is something i dont agree with either. But any major investment has to pay off - we are of the same stature as clubs such as Kilmarnock - and they are addled with debt through ridiculous hospitality suites and offices that lay empty. Im happy the club aren't spendthrifts, it will be the one thing that will give clubs like ICT and St Johnstone the edge in the future as clubs like Aberdeen and Kilmarnock fade away or go into administration. The scoreboard is one of those things that would perhaps increase fan happiness with no gain to the club overall. So we need to strike that balance, demonstrated by hugh investment in the sports bar.

Score Board
Scoreboards are a distraction. I end up glancing at it out of habit a la TV, and the only thing it is useful for is displaying teams line-up before the game. ICT have a lovely ground, it's not the biggest, but it's modern, with a picturesque location, and well maintained. Pittodrie is a disjointed shed, at least there's no moss on the roofs - so I disagree with the 1976 accusations. The sports bar is a much more valuable resource, and any new initiative these days will have to be about one thing - profit.

Missed opportunty?
If you can't take a plastic bottle into the ground for fear of it being used as a projectile, then allowing vuvuzelas would be a contradiction. Vuvuzelas are perfect throwing shape, weight, size. For that reason, I can't understand why any club would allow them. FIFA themselves said if one vuvuzela was thrown onto the pitch, they'd be banned outright. So, ergo, therefore - no vuvuzelas.
