  1. They’ve certainly been a thorn in our side this season and while Tuesday night will be no easy task I think it’s fair to say that if we can’t come away from there with something positive then we probably don’t deserve a spot in the playoffs. This is typical ICT though, cliff hanging season run-ins, we’ll probably end up 3rd!
  2. Massive result for Partick. We need to peg back Ayr or they’ll be out of sight, so either a draw or Morton win tomorrow is crucial. However, it means bugger all if we don’t beat Raith!
  3. That’s a fair point Satan, hadn’t thought about it that way…
  4. Astonishing and fantastic, what a brilliant result and performance! I was still biting my nails well into added time though - having 3 Canaries on the pitch at the same time made me more nervous than usual!
  5. Between what should be a difficult away game at Morton and the final home game with Dundee we are quite capable of taking 3 points from all the other games in-between those two. It's pity there's not more opportunity to take points off the teams above us competing for the play-off places but plenty of them will be taking points off each other in the run-in. It will be close and tight but I've got a more confident feeling that it is now doable after that great fighting 3 points last night - well done all 👍
  6. Huge obstacle stuck in my way with the lunchtime kick-off. Can't get out of my Friday night-shift so hoped to fly up on the first morning flight from Stansted, unfortunately it's not early enough to get me there in time and its too far to Heathrow to catch an earlier flight so has to be a tv watch for me 🙁
  7. Proclaimers - I’m on my way from misery to happiness today…
  8. Dreadfully disappointed, was hoping for Falkirk in the final, only fair to give them a chance for revenge 😀
  9. Reckon yer right on the button there - apparently we’d already declined a request from Partick to move the game to avoid a clash with Scotland v Cyprus because we’d sold out the hospitality for it.
  10. Partick were moaning earlier that the game was going ahead as planned on the 25th despite their request it be moved to avoid clashing with the Scotland v Cyprus game - looks like they got what they wanted…
  11. I hedged my bets, saved the fiver and just screwed up my NPL prediction instead - so lesson learned, listen to Yngwie, ignore Gringo 😉
  12. I think this was an even bigger surprise than the one 23 years ago!
  13. Hearts 5 times in last 6, haven’t checked the previous 4 seasons beyond that yet
  14. Nice one Yngwie, I’ll listen to you more often when I’m doing my coupon picks 😀👍
  15. Well my gast is well and truly flabbered! Don't know where that came from, don’t really care where it came from, was not expecting anything like this result. A huge well done to everyone, definitely one to add to our classics. Shame Ayr have turned it around, would have loved to get Elgin next.
  16. Maybe so but we’re not the same ICT as once we were, sadly I don’t think that spirit is there at the moment.
  17. Just shows what a meaningless and feckless award this is... ...on the upside, however, it looks good on his CV if some club more desperate than us wants to poach him!
  18. We're in another world now right enough - cue Mary Hopkin... 🙁
  19. No doubt that Queens Park should face a punishment, rule was broken so due process now needs to be carried out. It’s more than likely they will forfeit the tie but I’d rather they were fined or a replay ordered. The way things are at the moment we’d probably be on the receiving end of a mightily embarrassing humping by Livi, that wouldn’t do anything to help morale and could make things even worse. Once upon a time I’d have loved the chance to dump Livi out of the cup but now I’d much rather have a decent performance and 3 points on Saturday.
  20. James McFadden had it right when he commented at half-time that there was only one team playing like a premiership side and it wasn't Aberdeen. Think bdu has the gist of it, Falkirk will know what they're up against and will likely put up a much stronger display than a dispirited and lacklustre Aberdeen. Been scanning the news today to see who was sacked first, Jim Goodwin or Nadim Zahawi - shockingly neither of them so far...
  21. Well goodness gracious me! We were all saying how crucial it was to win those last two games and they have gone way past what any of us expected. Big congratulations to all, great to have some sharpness up front again. Will take a few more like this to see if our season has really been turned around and Queens Park will provide a far bigger test than the last two. So the jury may still be out but if this continues the lynch mob should be less vocal.
  22. Well where did that come from? Congrats to all and great for Billy to nab the hat-trick. Hopefully not a dead cat bounce as Arbroath will be well up for us next. Win that one and it’s quite a dramatic turnaround in fortune.
  23. A dreadfully depressing thread to read but sadly it’s hard to disagree with any of the sentiments. It may often be said but the next two games really are crucial and will define how far we have regressed this season and what we are facing for the rest of it. Next up are Cove, the last team we defeated way back in October - our performance in that game will likely be a clear marker on our declining standards. The following game against Arbroath really worries me. At the moment I can’t see us coming away with anything from that and a loss closes the gap enough to put us in serious jeopardy. Norwich have wisely taken the decision today to ditch a manager that has lost the dressing room and the fans support. It’s the right move down here and would be the right decision at the Longman too. Just put Dodds on gardening leave till his contract expires and hand over the reins to Esson.
  24. This is sad news. I too had wondered why he hadn’t posted recently as I always enjoyed his posts. My condolences to his friends and family, a sad loss of one our best.
  25. In a rapidly changing world it's good to know there's always something we can rely on 😕
