That was my concern when I first read about the charges, albeit further down the line. A rejection of the application, however, could very well bring about that possibility sooner if we’re in such dire straits. Worrying times ahead off the pitch if the decision goes against the application. -

Yep absolutely but the big issue that had to be addressed was avoiding relegation in the first place so that we weren’t rebuilding as a part-time outfit in the lower leagues. Looks like Big Dunc has recruited wisely to fill that brief and should hopefully make us a better looking prospect for those available in the transfer market come summer time. I’m quite looking forward to seeing what these guys can do for us.

That sounds very logical Stephen but I’ve found over the years that logic and common sense quite often fly out of the window at committee when personal agendas come into play. I’ve no idea if that would be an issue in this particular case but nothing ever surprises me when councillors are involved.

I see on the link that Newcastle paid £250,000 for Remi in 2021 when they got him from Liverpool - any word on what we’ve had to pay for him, sounds like a very interesting prospect.

Fortunately we’re not on our own at the bottom end of the table so we’re still in with a fighting chance if some half decent bodies get added during the transfer window. Was just thinking about what dire straits we’d be in if it wasn’t for the wee bounce when Dunc took over - could’ve been well adrift and properly doomed by now so grateful for the small mercy of still having a wee bit of hope.
