  1. With the way AS is steadying the ship, and the historic debt gone, I don’t think we need to worry about losing anyone’s interest in the short term. I’m confident we’re now in safe hands and feel if it takes a wee bit longer to secure a decent deal with a responsible, respectable and resilient new investor then it’s all good

  4. Really, really good news - Mr Savage you have worked wonders sorting out so much so quickly - thank you!

  6. Just failed to post the link to the STV interview, there’s a link to it in the Courier article, so hopefully someone else can find it and do the honours. Most interesting bit for me is the closing paragraph… ”It can’t get any worse, because I am in full control of the cheque book now and Charlie Christie, who knows the club intimately, is the CEO and he knows what the problems have been so we have come together and we are going to control the costs.”
  7. …with missed payments!
  8. I’m a happy bunny tonight - sure there’s still a bumpy road ahead but I’m confident that Alan Savage will get this right. We wish you all the very best in the coming negotiations to give our club back the self respect that’s been destroyed and a club we can be proud of once again. Mr Savage, we owe you a heartfelt thanks for getting rid of that ridiculous Walter Mitty character and the abomination that was Gardiner. Next on the agenda is to get rid of Duncan Donut as soon as you can manage it so that we can sort things out on the park as well as off it.
  9. Sadly Jodie, does look like we’re stuck with him for a very very long time…
  10. It’s becoming quite an embarrassment being a CaleyJags fan

  12. Go on folks, do it, the weekly humiliation of abject failure is very humbling and good for the soul
  13. If he can’t see already what’s not working, what’s gone wrong and why, then he’s in the wrong ball game!
  14. IMHO this nails it…

  16. …and still no confirmation that SG is oot the door asap!
  17. I thought his answers were a mix of delusional and corporate BS - I can only see asset stripping as the end goal here and the only tangible asset is the land.
  18. Thank you once again MrCJ for taking the time to run the NAPs league - so looking forward to being bamboozled, disappointed and humiliated week in week out - cheers
  19. Sadly I’m one of them Yngwie but do agree with you and Robert. I have no depth of knowledge in the field so it’s mostly just perception. From what I’ve been able to gather I struggle to see that in depth due diligence would find this company to be ‘fit and proper’. At the moment it all seems very dodgy with Gardiner’s fingerprints all over it. I hope for the best but fear for the worst…

  22. Such sad news and such a shock - larger than life doesn’t seem to do Johndo justice, you just couldn’t help but like him, always brought a smile to my face whenever I saw him which wasn’t nearly often enough. My condolences go out to his family and all his many friends.
