  1. Sounds too much like a lack of concentration and looking forward to a warm bath. I can't criticise though, I'm regularly guilty of getting up to put my coat on 5 minutes before the end of my shift - yes, I need a kick up my backside too!
  2. He's clearly not interested in full time football, especially after he turned it down in order to go down a league after leaving Brechin. He's quite happy working as a plumber and getting his additional £650 a week to not have to try too hard. Sounds fine to me - 10 goals in 6 starts sounds like a very worthwhile £650 a week and I'd chuck in a few metres of quality lagging it helps tempt him back...
  3. Final stats show we had 5 shots to Patrick's 7 and we had 3 on target. Ok we still haven't won but sounds like it was a promising 2nd half after Vigurs came on and we're getting there - Celtic Park will be a great place to open our account...
  4. We've had a few near misses - only following text feed on BBC site but it sounds promising with us pushing hard and Vigurs has had an effort from a free kick saved...if he keeps this up it sounds like just the lift we need to make more impact up front.
  5. Vigurs on as a sub and it takes him 2 minutes to get a yellow card! Great commitment or pure rashness? Hopefully someone who was at the match can let us know later on..
  6. BBC Sport showing 1st half stats as ICT 58% possession but we have only 1 shot to Patrick's 5 - ah well 5 NPL points in the bag for a 0-0 so not all bad... Tonight's attendance at TCS is 3141 - and PT have hit the woodwork with Williams touching a Lawless drive onto the crossbar...
  7. Lots of moot points - Alex is quite right about so many unrealistic expectations this season. We punched way above our weight last time out, this year was always likely to be a disappointment and patience is required. On the other hand, the Immortal one is also right. It's very strange that currently we seem to be the architects of our own downfall. Financially, last year's success has not generated a large wad of dosh we can spray about but surely we must be in a far better position than we have been at the start of previous campaigns. What I can't understand is the failure to secure the services of a half-decent striker since the departure of Billy. It was fairly obvious even when Billy was still with us that we needed additional cover up front and the situation has gradually deteriorated with pressures now becoming more acute in other areas. So yes, my expectations for this season are realistic but I'd really like to know why we seem to be shooting ourselves in the foot.
  8. Just been reading the feeds coming through from Malta - West Ham are having a shocker (again) and sounds like we have really missed a golden, golden opporchancity!!!
  9. Looks like West Ham are in the mire too - wish I'd put a tenner on that one!
  10. Sad but proud and a wee bit concerned - don't think anybody will give us a pounding this season but at the moment looks like the best we can do is 40 odd 0-0 draws :(
  11. All the very best to Yogi, the team and all travelling fans - do us proud and have great time - see you at Upton Park
  12. Woo-Hoo! Please Big Man it's gotta happen
  13. Crowd is 5543 Full time: 0-1 Disappointing but sounds like a good performance from the cobbled line-up and we're in with a shout next week.
  14. Dave the Rave on for Meekings and Roberts for Draper - 10 mins to go... Here he comes - Richie is back!!!
  15. Turning the screw a wee bit more now - we need a goal from this pressure... 0-2 Dons - Pawlett Let off as Astra hit the post - we're pushing hard but it's leaving us exposed to a break
  16. Reckon we'll see Richie and Roberts on as late subs to make it happen...
  17. Considine puts the Dons in front at Rijeka...
  18. Typical, just after the BBC were bigging us up and saying how much in control we were :(
  19. Aye it hurts - working tonight and on Monday I start jury service so away trip was screwed early doors - erse!
  20. Given the longer season forthcoming with our foray into Europe, a decent depth of squad is going to be very important - particularly when we're into the later Europa league group stages!
  21. The raised profile from our cup win, top 3 finish and euro qualification should help JH get some gems that may have previously thought twice about relocating up the A9.
  22. Can't concentrate today either - don't know whether it's because I'm still on a high from the weekend or just hate my piggin job!!!
  23. I've just been summoned for jury service starting 20 July!!!
  24. I second this, was really quite amazed when they left in their droves. Ok they were stunned and p'd off at the way it ended after their battling 2nd half performance but their team deserved better from them. And yes, I'm pretty darned sure the majority of us would have stayed to show our appreciation at getting this far. Was pleased to see Yogi head their way and give his applause to the few that remained - nice touch from a real gent.
  25. Seems European qualifications are like buses - you wait for 21 years and then two come along together
