Matchday Thread: Ict -v- Hamilton
Its more of a point gained as we didn't look like we were capable of scoring in the second half. The Kerr goal was scrappy but hugely important and the first time in months i felt like hugging everyone around me. Although we played badly in the first we were unlucky not to win looking back over the whole game. We had blackies shot just over, morais through on goal and dougie missing a sitter in the 2nd. Hamilton had their free-kick (which should have been defended better) and one chance on the edge of our box saved by the impressive esson. Saw the importance of roscoe in todays match. When the fans were quiet the only man you could hear shouting on the park was tokely, telling everyone else to pick up their game. He showed passion and commitment, give that man the armband. Could turn out to be a BIG point. Hamilton are another team who has a strange hold over us, maybe because of their disgraceful tactics, so a point was a good result. Now we have 5 games left, if we win 2 of those we are safe. we are staying up, we are staying up. :thumb04:

Plea To Our Team
there has definitely been quite a bit more 'flamboyant' falls now that butch and mo have come in, and we are no longer bottom of the card count league. Even though, there are some players you wish just wouldn't try, like lionel. hamilton have injury worries, and a new and fresh team playing for us, should be good.

Matchday Thread: Aberdeen -v- Ict
No idea why McBain isn't getting a game, i feel he is a good player with the ball at his feet and one who can create something from midfield. Butcher seems to want more aggression than skill at the moment, can't blame him, but i'd like to see the royster get his chance. Still can't see vigurs playing again this season, maybe for the best, save the youngsters for next season. Duncan is a good fighter but when we are on top he tends to fade away. I'd like to see him play after the split. Imrie should maybe take up the extra midfield role, if he switched back to a sort of attacking midfielder then we could play barrowman, perhaps even rooney or wood up front instead. I still like the idea of little guy large guy up front, morais being the midget.

Signings For Next Season
the BSP is as high a level if not higher than the 1st division. morison is a class act up front, the only problem is that many league clubs are already chasing him.

Matchday Thread: Aberdeen -v- Ict
Pity about the final score, but the big game is next week. Against a hamilton team who have major injury problems and haven't scored in 6 games. We have been good at home, i fancy a win and that is all we need. Aberdeen is always going to be mission near-impossible for us, same as it is for the hibees coming up to sneck. TB knows that this game was not the one we needed to win, it would have been a bonus more than anything else. Bottom six opposition from now on, this is where the season begins. Lets hope it ends well.

Signings For Next Season
We definitely don't look at the Irish market enough. One name i'd like to put forward: steve morison of stevenage. Top scorer in BSP, i've watched him a few times on setanta and he's a cracking player. He is approaching his something like 5th year at the club, where he is also the captain, but if stevenage don't win promotion to the football league this year he could welcome a fresh challenge.

Team For Dons
Not saying Vigurs shouldn't get his chance, but right now Brian Kerr is a better player. Richie foran has without doubt been our best buy in the last few years (barring don, but he was an obvious purchase). He shows the necessary passion required to stay up and battle, and shows he can take a man on and drive at goal. Plus he seems to have that common touch with fans that makes him an absolute legend in the eyes if many, including me. There's no doubt we'll need to replace Black, but i don't think vigurs is in the same mould as ian. A very different player, but i'll keep the faith and wait and see....

First Visit To Inverness
aye you picked a bad day for atmosphere, don't think there has ever been a game against midden with much singing. you should goto an aberdeen or hibs game to 'saviour our atmosphere'.
-
Team For Dons
Kerr had a good game on saturday, and foran didn't have much of an opportunity to make a difference because of the change of tactics (instead of playing a long ball up front for him to chase, we played it to the feet of morais and imrie) even then he laid on a goal for filipe. Keep them both in the team, Vigurs is overrated, and we can run the risk of playing someone who has only 1/3 season's experience.

Some Praise For The Fans
Aye its funny now section H is providing the 'noise' all of a sudden (including myself and most around me), the section g boys don't seem to want to join in! i do hope at least some turn up for the accies match.

4 Game Season Ticket
Judging from the crowd, not that many have taken it up. Looking at the prices it isn't actually that good a deal, I'd be expecting the board to be slashing prices by more than an odd ?10 or ?20 (for an adult) to get the maximum amount of fans in the gates for these cruical games. Hamilton for example let all their fans in for ?5 in one instance. Surely it shouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for the board to let fans in for ?5 or even just ?10 for the next three games? Although it would lose the club money initially surely getting relegated is the worst possible outcome, and the more fans the better to give the players the lift they might need. Seems to me too much money has already been spent on flogging this idea and advertising it as being able to to achieve a saving of 67%, when hat is only for the children in the cheapest area. I accept the board are trying but a better idea is needed to tempt the armchair fans to the caledonian stadium. Even on this website there are too many who don't goto the games for whatever reason (obviously geography being acceptable). Talking to an old friend last week who stated that he couldnt goto the games anymore because of work business. Then he says that he goes to Man Utd games more than he does ICT games. Too many assume that the club and players don't need the ans support, and it was noticeable the amount of fans that stayed away at the midden game (including the section g singers) mostly because of either the weather or the opposition not being as glamorous as the old firm. Both of these aren't excuses, the game was arguably the most important played at Inverness this season. The Club needs to pull something bigger than this out of the bag to entice the extra 2000 or so that we need for the final three games.

Some Praise For The Fans
Apart from the midden game there has been a noticeable difference in atmosphere. Still, the best atmosphere so far at home was the Aberdeen game when we wus humped 3-0. Hoping for a bigger crowd at the hamilton game, especially more section G attendees as they usually bring a drum or two, that gets it going. Its strange being part of Section H and starting/singing all the songs.

Team For Dons
Same again please, although maybe consider playing duncan in midfield instead of kerr (who did play well today) as this game will require us to break down a lot more attacking play than we had to against midden.

Ict -v- St Mirren : Matchday Thread
A massive three points that looked unlikely given the start we made, but delighted the team managed to hold on at the end for three points that moves us up two places. Not everyone had their best game today but we had most of them on form and it was just enough to outperform a poor midden side. They created a couple of chances but apart from their goal they never looked like scoring, although saying that i was a bsolutely bricking it near the end. Roscoe being an absolute legend managed to skin 5 players and run it to the corner before winning a throw in, wasting about a minute, and from his reaction at the end it clearly meant a lot to him to get one over st "we all hate ross tokely" mirren. By the way, a FANTASTIC celebration from morais, that was superb from the boy, nothing i love more than seeing a player enjoying scoring a goal and celebrating in style (although clearly milking it!). He looks a good striker and when we play it on the deck to him and imrie it works wonderfully.

We Must Beat St Mirren
Can't see us losing tommorrow, mainly because of the humping last week, the boys won't want to disappoint the fans again. St midden are awful anyway, they are feeding off our scraps and are the weakest team in the spl in terms of offensive quality, and considering the improvements of our defence (apart from the falkirk game) it seems the saintees aren't going to score. As long as we manage to get doo doo doo eric odhiambo on the pitch then we will win and win easily. And i feel an imrie special coming, its about time he got a goal.

Is This The End For Zander?
He was never going to make it, doesn't have the grit needed to be part of an ICT team.

If We're Not Going Down....
hamilton have too many injuries to pick up enough points to keep them clear of relegation.

Falkirk -v- Ict : Matchday Thread
To spend near ?60 travelling down to falkirk, ?21 just for the privelige of watching that sh*te for 90 minutes and coming away actually embarassed to be at an ICT game, is a complete joke. An apology is needed, a spineless performance that made the worst team in scotland look like brazil.

Stadium Announcer
Thanks for your feedback everyone. To set the record straight, Ali who is our resident matchday PA announcer was away this weekend and Jud stepped in to help. Ali will be back as normal from our next home game v St Mirren on the 4th April. hallelujah. the pa's job is one of the most important on matchday, he's usually the one who gets the atmosphere going after a goal.
