Munro & Cox out for Pars.
As long as Duncan's back, our midfield should survive. Worrying that Granty's out. And now Proctor (a much better midfielder) will be pitted against Gibson, and could get ripped a new one. Eagles can put in shift through the middle. Out wide he doesn't have the pace or strength, but playing through the middle with Duncan could work. He's got an eye for a pass, and Duncan can provide the grit.

4-5-1
If it turns out that we feck it up in the next couple of games, and then we really need to go for it, we should change to a 4-3-3. At the minute we are playing cracking football, and look the most comfortable team in the league.

4-5-1
Well it seems to have worked so far.... Our success stems from when Butcher settled on a regular team, and a regular formation (4-5-1 turning to 4-3-3 with Foran and Hayes pushing up when necessary). Why change something when it aint broke.

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
It was good, but it wasn't that good! An overhead kick in the last seconds of a match, scored by Richie Foran, to keep ICT at the top of the league by 4 points? Definitely the greatest goal in the history of football. No exaggerations from me.

Raith Video Highlights
Just as I remembered it, cracking finish from Foran. Pity they had to celebrate in front of the main stand, but that goal just about sums up our season.
-
Sanchez
Using the same template as others - Both Sanchez and Odhiambo are completely new to the 1st division, and are adjusting well - FACT Without either player ICT would not be in the position we are now - FACT Both players offer something different to the team - FACT Odhiambo has a cracking goal celebration - FACT All 4 reasons why both players are and continue to be important to ICT.

Determination, Commitment and Character
A team in the mould of the big man himself.

We've won it
As ridiculous as it sounds, is there any way that mods can close these threads down? Dundee, County, QoS fans will love reading this if we feck it up. I have full belief in the team, but you can never account for pure luck. There does seem something irresistible about the way we are playing though.

Did we miss Duncan today
Although we missed Duncan, Cox was shuperb again today. His tackling, workrate and commitment was great, even when he was booked and had a chance of being sent off. He looks as though he is back to his old form at the start of the season. Maybe Rangers will take a second look......

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
One of the greatest goals I have ever seen. Richie is class, an inspiration to everyone else in the team. Waiting for the highlights now, didn't catch what the celebration was about, did they all run towards Butcher or was it just the main stand? That performance was what we needed today. Raith are a better team than 8th place, ICT faced a bigger challenge today getting all three points than we did against County. Thank god for Foran, Rooney and Hayes. As cracking as that game was today, I'll miss them once we are promoted (hopefully this season but there's no guarantee). If that match was in the SPL it would be raved about for weeks, but they happen every week in the 1st.

ICT -V- Ross County : matchnight thread
EASY EASY EASY Jonny Hayes is a god.

Why are we so good?..!
Hope the players and the new messiah Butcher realise that they are only a couple of games from being enemy number one again, despite what people say. I have full faith that they won't throw it away though, there's something about the team at the moment; like the old days when we seemed capable of anything.

Attendance on Tuesday?
Surely there would have been over 6,000 tickets already sold for the game? Wouldn't imagine many people would simply not go after they've bought their way in.

Partick Th -V- ICT : matchday thread
FULL TIME

Jonny Hayes
I'd say one of the most exciting players to play for ICT in our history. Exciting in his playing style, but if he keeps up the tempo he'll be near the top soon enough.

Partick Roll Call
l be there. As long as the players focus on beating Partick and not on the result of the dundee - county game, then we will win with ease.

Ross County -V- ICT : matchday thread
I'll take a point, that gets the monkey off our back, and our second half performance should give us confidence in a week + a bit's time. And, we can go top of the league on Tuesday night if all goes to plan. What a turnaround. Dundee are falling to pieces, ourselves and County look like the two best teams in the division at the moment, the Pars are catching up and QOS are a good weekend away from being in the mix. Duncan the MOM, showed excellent strength and composure in everything he did. Esson was also his usual fantastic self, Rooney cannot deal with long balls pumped up to him all day so didn't get too many opportunities. Eagles was very impressive when he came on, gave Johnny a lesson in effort. Perhaps time to give Johnny a rest? He's a young lad, has been playing consistently for months now, but he's starting falter. He doesn't even seem to have the pace he used to. Eagles could step in easily, looking at him today. At last, a league derby that we actually competed in.

Dundee's relentless march to the title.....
:) It's all coming into place....

County V Hibs
Sounds like they're set for a fall.

ICT -V- Morton : matchday thread
3 points won today, and sets us up nicely for the derby. Although we were poor, i'm in no doubt that was one of Morton's best performances of the season. They seemed well-organised, everyone knew what they had to do and how to do it. MoM - Duncan or Cox, both showed real bite in midfield, and even though they are two defensive midfielder's, they were excellent going forward. Ross played well enough, but didn't get forward enough. He was running alongside Golly for most of the game. Got to get Bully back in. Roscoe played well today, but Proctor at right-back is a worry, and would play much better out wide right instead of young Ross (too early for a derby).

Division 1 Scorers
Rooney to win the POTY for the 1st division. He was on top form last night, and it's always good to see him celebrate a goal, he doesn't forget that the fans supported him when he was finding it tough in the SPL.

Best and worst grounds...
Best stadium - Probably Hibs. Hard to find, but always seemed a nice mix of old and modern. Worst - Aberdeen. Unfriendly, and even worse, filled (or half-filled nowadays) with Aberdeen fans.

Catering issues at ICT [official]
ISSUE - Massive queues put me off trying to get anything at half time. ISSUE - Prices have gone up, quality gone down. IDEA - Agree with the runner idea, would reduce queues.

Merged: I BELIEVE.
We made it ten times harder for ourselves yesterday (at no fault of our own) but it's still more than possible. I think there are 14 games left to play from our own perspective. Every game winnable, but the real niggle is that ICT consistently fail to get the results in the must-win games. Hopefully yesterday will spur the players on, maybe a sense of injustice will do them good. If we can beat the pretenders from across the bridge, then I believe that anything is possible this season.

Dundee -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Good game the day, good support as well. It's by no means over, the next run of games will prove far more important than today. A disappointing end to a great performance, but that seems to be our mentality against Dundee. If we can beat QOS, and perhaps take all points available against County (difficult, but possible) then we would be favourites in my eyes (but then we always are). All it takes is 1 weekend were we win, Dundee lose, and then we could be 3 points off the top. Considering we have to play Dundee on the last game of the season, that's ok. Agree with RiG that people need to look around them and realise that QOS are in a much better position than us. The biggest disappointment is that ICT yet again fail to win a must-win game. Is it a question of bottle, or are we unlucky. We were certainly unlucky today, and those questioning Munro's captaincy are a joke. A captain leads by example, and a good captain doesn't need to bawl at his players. There was nothing we could have done today to prevent the two goals (aside from perhaps close down Kerr quicker) and the game as a whole leaves me with a lot of hope. Looking at our resources, and then take a look at Dundee, signing Bob Malcolm on a whim just because they feel they need to tighten up at the back. Obviously I'd love us to get promoted, but it's a pity to leave this league and return to SPHell. Then again, seeing Griffiths gurney wee excuse of a face run off the park crying at the end of the season would be priceless.
