  1. Couldnt handle it at Hibs eh? No wonder.
  2. Haha that is said with tounge in cheek right? surely no one can actually believe that he is a good coach/assistant manager or manager...just a man with an over inflated ego who thinks he is a lot better than he is would be my summary of Brewster Not really. Brewster had many flaws but he was one of the best we've ever had here in terms of keeping the players fit. Folks like Barry Wilson shed weight through Brewsters training sessions. So as long as he is not top dog in a managerial team i think you at least have yourself a good coach in the ranks. He just dosent have the charisma or man managment skills for a top job.
  3. Gilks is younger than Esson and has played 17 games in the best league in the world this season. He has to get in there before Esson. Turner has also played 19 league games in the Championship this season. The only thing keeping Esson out these days is there are younger keepers who have great potential and that is what you always look for in a 3rd choice keeper. Gilks would've played more but suffered a really bad knee injury that sidelined him for a while, he's a great keepr. We all know how good Esson is but unless he joins the old firm or a championship team he will never get international notice - end of. And for the record i dont think Esson's time has passed, players like Robson have established themselves in the national squad late in their careers. No reason Ryan cant but it wont happen here.
  4. ah.....but he was crap the whole time while here...so was never really rated by ICT fans. I was meaning players fans raved about, that you couldnt see what all the noise was about. I take it you didnt see his goal against rangers? I'm not saying one goal makes a player but while he was often inconsistent there was always the chance that he could pull out a stonking goal now and again Tell me which goal are you referring to out of the 3 goals he ever scored for us?
  5. Barrowman...with Phil McGuire a close 2nd.
  6. Little birdy told me that Russell Duncan may be heading down there too.
  7. Fair enough Scotty, you've probably seen him play more than i have then but i'm just basing my judgement on the few times i've seen him. Not an out and out scorer but he is a dangerous player.
  8. Oh Blackie... .
  9. I want Colin Samuel! I know he has been released but he is an excellent player...bit off topic i know.
  10. SMEE has hit it bang on the button, the clubs tradition and almost way of life has been thrown out the door for what Butcher described as a "totally different style of football". If it works then he will have justified his decisons but if it fails then we will know where it all went wrong. I'm trying not to let my heart rule my head but i can't help but think its wrong.
  11. AJS replied to ict247's topic in Caley Thistle
At 3rd division level he will be pivotal player for them in terms of experience and a bit of consistency. Good luck Roy.
  12. I have never seen Inverness play without these 2 guys being part of ICT. I actually felt quite down after the Hibs game knowing they will not be here next season. Gutted i couldnt get to Hamilton today. I think what makes it so sad is that these guys in many peoples views still have alot to offer, especially Granty, i think if he was retiring it would be easier to comprehend but it is not the case. It seems too soon for this to happen. The 2 of them for me are great role models to those who have watched them at ICT, 2 great, down to earth guys who gave 100% and never gave any fuss. Whoever gets them are obtaining a bargain on a free transfer. Good luck you guys, wherever you go. You will never be forgotten and who knows you may end up back someday.
  13. Great way to end with 4 wins on the bounce. And glad Munro and Duncan got a chance to say farewell. Another great season has drawn to a close. Bring on 2011-12.
  14. Anyone know what the score was?
  15. Too many has beens or youngsters that aren't good enough for the SPL. No thanks.
  16. Rankin was forced out...
  17. ...till the next time
  18. In what way? He mentions it on BBC. There was a wee spat at full time between Tokely and somebody, Butcher got involved i think. That migth be it but it could something else entirely.
  19. He was excellent tonight. But with the guard of honour at full time i'd say it is unlikely he will be here. Really hope im wrong though.
  20. Poor game but 2-0 win means it was at least worthwhile. Nick Ross was long overdue a goal but it was a cracking finish. Hibs looked like a depleted and burnt out team. They are in need of a real shake up. Actually felt quite sad at the end of the game. Its the end of an era for the long term servants, and by the looks of it theres no real chance of a reprise for Granty. It'll be the first time i've ever seen a Caley squad that didn't contain Duncan, Munro or McBain. On the plus side the performances of Sutherland and Ross tonight did show that the future is bright for us in terms of emerging talent. Roll on next season.
  21. Well thats put a dampner on the weekend. I wanted it to be us to pull the trigger. Oh yeah and to all you Accies out there.....
  22. Keogh was a fantastic player up until he sustained that injury. He was our for so long and just wasn't the same player when he came back.
  23. It's great having 2 quality keepers.
