Fail to see what would prevent Butcher getting a 10/10 from the majority of fans.
  2. Not before time that they have stopped movement from the North Stand into the Main Stand..IMO. Aside from the fact that people have been paying North Stand prices and skipping through into the Mian Stand for years, the concourse area there is not designed to take the numbers from both the Main Stand and the North Stand and has, again IMO, been the cause of the congestion problems in that area for far too long. If people want to use Main Stand Facilities then they should buy a Main Stand Ticket. The problem we have now is that the club have pretty much always turned a blind eye to the above and if they are now acting to prevent (which seems to be the case) then people will moan like hell because "they've always done it". The serveries and toilets opposite the main stand have always been used a lot less than the Main Stand, so I'm guessing they are also trying to spread the load, shorten the queues and (long term) reduce complaints. The bigger games will always create issues in these areas as facilities can't cope with the crowds (they barely cope at "normal" games)....but I hope the club persevere with this setup for all matches as they will then get a true idea of the need for additional facilities and in the long term it could/should lead to them making the right improvements in the right areas if it is established that all serveries etc are being used to full capacity.

EWS, the ICTShop user account is not monitored on a constant basis and is used primarily for posting information from the shop on the forums. To ensure your situation is dealt with efficiently then I would e.mail them on the above address as instructed.
  4. I'll meet all the Lionel Bashers outside in the car park in 10 minutes....LDZ will be joining me!!! Rossco's "Brother by another Mother", but unfortunately he never had the time nor the opportunity to win over the fans in the same way...and even after all this time and proving himself time and again, Rossco still has a sizeable nay-saying following. When he sticks an overhead bicycle kick into the postage stamp corner from the half way line then you'll all be eating your words!!!
  5. Actually, I do think having Squad Numbers is quite important in a "tradition" sense and I hope to see players going back to/taking numbers that are (for whatever reason) important to them.
  6. DEADLINE FOR RENEWAL DISCOUNT IS TODAY For those who have not yet renewed they have until close of play today (shop open until 8pm) to renew and qualify for the 10% Discount. You will still have the chance to renew and retain your seats after that, and until close of business on Sunday, but YOU WILL NOT get the discount. Any seats not renewed by that point will go on General Sale on Monday. Shop Opening Hours over the next few days Today ? open till 8pm Thursday 1st July ? 9am to 8pm Friday 2nd July ? 9am to 5pm Saturday 3rd July ? 9am to 2pm Sunday 4th July ? 9am to 2pm
  7. Just checked the form and it also says on there, in Bold writing under the signature box, that you should return it to the Stadium.
  8. Says in the Renewal Letter that you should take it in to the Stadium.
  9. The thing is, if it could be shown/proved that the club offered a social/community return on investment then I'd happily say "yeah, let's give them money from the public purse". I just read a very long, and quite dry, report on doing Social Audits of Football Clubs to determine the non-financial value to communities (I can here the groans from ICT Boardroom already) and whilst I am no expert on Clach it certainly doesn't seem to tick too many of the positive boxes when it comes to justifying income (or writing off of debt) from non-commercial pockets.
  10. I don't buy the "good decision by Council" argument in relation to writing off what is owed. Don't get me wrong, there's a strong argument for them not being liable for the level of rent they have/were having to pay, but Clach knew what the figure was and should have managed/run the club in a manner that allowed them to pay it. I also struggle to understand where any long term solutions have been found. They have a sponsorship deal that will carry them through a couple of years, but they are selling off the Social Club which was probably the main income stream for the club. A ?30k/year shirt sponsorship deal is not going to come along for them on a regular basis - our current deal is worth only twice that and we're in the SPL!!! Don't want to see Clach going to the wall, but can't help but feel that we are witnessing nothing more than the application of another sticky plaster on a gaping stab wound. Apologies if any of that seems harsh, but my "save them at any cost" feelings took a dip when they barely managed to muster 25 fans to the Inverness Cup game against us last season. We constantly here talk of how important the club is to the community....but the community are not supporting it. Why should the rest of us be expected too?

The 'moan inn Brilliant...didn't think we'd have a winner so quickly!!!

While we wait on more information how about a bit of fun. If you were in charge of naming the new facility, what would you call it and why? I'll start with "Shoes Off Saloon"....in recognition of that momentous act of fan unity.
  13. I had a chance to chat with Terry about this last Christmas and he effectively said what's in Bridge Enders post. If those bumping their gums and moaning about it had ever spent a moment in his company or knew the slightest thing about him then you would realise that he is, without doubt, very passionate about promoting the ICT Brand. Other when he's on the TV doing his punditry for other things he is wearing the name. So much so that I often wonder if he puts his suit on over his ICT Jacket....his cap must have to be surgically removed as well. Butcher would happily answer questions or make comment about ICT on these shows, but can only do so if the presenters lead with an opportunity....it would be unprofessional of him to go "hang on a minute, can I just stop you there as I want to yap on a bit about ICT".
  14. I saw the title and was wondering who Will Hamilton was!!! Killies financial situation puts them at a huge disadvantage again this season. There's plenty of teams without two pennies to rub together, but they aren't servicing the level of debt that Killie have on top of everything else. Unless they land a manager that can work miracles then they have to be favourites for the drop, IMO. I would rather it was St Midden though.

So, SMEE, how do you operate a facility that can only hold 200-300 people where demand is likely to outstrip supply in a manner which is equal and fair to all?

[sarcasm]So you can't afford a season ticket, but you can afford to pi55 a few pints down the drain every other week?[/sarcasm] Anyway, I think "Sports Bar" is perhaps not the best term for it. The description I heard was "Premier Concourse" and it is intended to be a family friendly area. I'd imagine that it will have to operate as a members club for licensing purposes and the club will have to agree with the licensing board as to what constitutes membership. It may be you need to be a season ticket holder, it may be you only need a match day ticket, you might have to pay a quid at the door for a day membership or it could be like the Kingsmills Club where you need to acquire an annual membership....we'll just have to wait and see. In terms of pricing....I would be very surprised if it was as cheap as the Social Club, but I wouldn't expect it to be any more than you might pay in somewhere like the Innes. I don't think it's going to have any great impact on the likes of the Social Club or the Innes as it's perhaps being pitched at a different crowd.
  17. No....as Alex said, it is on NEW Sales. We had more season ticket holders last season than the season before in the SPL.
  18. Probably best if the op had just kept it to himself. It might be seen as "common sense" but you can be sure there's several people out there who fall just before/after the cut off date who will now expect the same treatment and you can quickly get into a "Where do you draw the line?" situation.
  19. The petition doesn't seem to be in line with what you've put in the opening post. From what I can gather, the Scottish CP Team is not currently part of the SFA, who are merely providing coaching via the Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association. The petition seems to suggest that you are looking to change this system to one where the SFA take on the full running and administration of the Scottish CP Team and if that's the case then we're talking about more than the cost of a few flights. As things stand the SFA are providing a service to the CP-IRSA, so it should be them you are currently petitioning to pay for flights as they are the lead organisation and the ones who will be receiving any grants etc for the operation of the scheme. I think you do the SFA a disservice by painting them as the bad guys. If I am missing something, or my understanding is wrong, please feel free to correct me.
  20. Welcome to the CTO Forum guys.....looking forward to the game against yourselves. If you need any information or have any questions about Inverness travel/accommodation/pubs etc then ask away and we'll do what we can to help.
  21. Appreciate this post may not prove popular, but are we not getting a little carried away here? I'm sure ICT fans pass away on a regular basis, many who will have achieved great things, and I find the whole idea of falling over ourselves to mark the passing of a fan who none of us seem to have known personally a little cringe worthy and verging on the embarrassing. The guy managed to reach the summit of Everest and that in itself is worthy of note and praise. It's great that he took his ICT hat and scarf with him and the story is worthy of discussion on these forums and a mention in the match programme or something. Everything else falls into the trap that is created by the "Grief Culture" that exists in this country where every man and their dog feels the need to talk about every death mentioned in the papers as if it were some long standing friend....when in reality they didn't know the person from Adam. Also, think about the situation you are placing others in with such talk. You mention the club putting up pictures in the tunnel etc. Where are they expected to draw the line? Are they expected to put a picture of every ICT fan who passes away up in the tunnel? Are they expected to hold a minutes silence/applause for every ICT fan who passes away? Are you going to do a walk/climb/fundraiser for all their favourite/chosen charities? I have no problem with those who wish to mourn the guys passing or mark his achievements, what does get up my nose is the way in which these things get forced upon everyone....and as I will no doubt find out in the responses to this....dare anyone disagree.
  22. I heard that Strathspey Thistle were interested.
