  3. In the grand scheme of things, I don't suppose he really gave a fook.
  4. Did ok when he was with us but not been impressed by what I've seen of him since he left....he must be in the running for 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize in the "Howler of the Season" competition.
  5. I dropped off a supply to the club shop yesterday afternoon. Not sure what the operating hours of the shop are over the closed season or what staff are about to get them sorted and on sale, but hopefully any day now. Also, as the club shop is acting as an outlet for the Supporters Trust then it will be cash/cheque sales only. If you wish a DVD delivered then please order it via www.ictsupporterstrust.co.uk and not by phoning the club shop.

How many times are images posted on these forums without consent? Just look at the light hearted Ross C*unty threads. Wyness13 has clearly stated that if he were to use the image any further then he would ask permission. I really do not see the problem here, if there was a problem I am sure the admin would have offending images removed or would not post copyrighted images themselves. The problem here is that we are looking at something which is (potentially) a commercial venture and/or a situation where items may have been passed off as belonging to someone other than the actual owner....hence why I asked for clarification, and subsequently a little courtesy to the owner of the images. As with many things in life, it's not what you do, but how you go about it that counts. We (CTO) have never had any problems getting permission to use images, audio etc etc from people connected to ICT and it's my belief that is in large part down to the fact that we always ask as opposed to just assuming it's ok. We (CTO) have built up relationships with many people/providers over the years and with that comes a certain responsibility to these people. If we were to let forum users use their stuff willy nilly and do/say nothing then we run the risk of losing more than what is gained by one misused image or whatever. So yeah, we do sometimes feel the need to issue a little reminder or question the odd thing...but that is a small price to pay for the goodwill that allows us to use pictures from CaleyJags.com, recorded interviews from the BBC, gets some of our match reporters access to the press room at the stadium, provides us a "status" which means we can afford licenses for producing fixture lists (and means that unlike other sites you guys can post details on them in the forum) and trusted enough to handle projects like the video highlights etc. I understand how it might look "petty" to some, but it's not done for the hell of it and we have to take care of the larger picture. As it is, I don't foresee any issue with the images above (I'd remove them if I did)...but hopefully my explanation means people can appreciate a little more the reasons why the question was asked.
  7. Being hard to find is the whole point :004:

Technically you've already distributed the design without permission by posting it on here. Whilst I'm sure it won't be a problem with any of those who own the images, you do need to be careful with these things as not everybody is as easy going as the guys behind caleyjags.com...and taking advantage of their good nature by assuming it would be ok is a little discourteous. Like the idea behind the design though...even if the predominant blue may upset the old Jaggie contingent :004:

Quick question....who's photos have you used and do you have permission to use them?

  11. Nobody is interested in the petty bickering and point scoring...take it to PM and away from the forum. Thanks.
  12. We still had 3 players in the running going in to Saturdays game or it would have been presented with the others. We'll need to wait till voting closes for last weeks game before we're able to make the announcement and would hope to present the trophy at the open day before the start of the season.
  13. Congrats....well deserved. Only leaves one Player Award to be announced for the season.....wonder who'll grab that one?
  14. No surprises in any of that for me. Unfortunate for Duff as he might have proved a decent player, but we can't afford to take such risks. Bulvitus....we saw first hand with Mihadjuks how difficult/awkward Venstipils could be to deal with, and he's not so good that we can't find someone of equal or better quality with far less hassle if they've shown any hint of hardball. Or it could simply be that he's no longer available to loan/sign for next season. Eagle....Hayes signing put pay to any chance he might have had of an offer, IMO. Allison....Not seen enough of him to pass any personal judgement on his ability, can only assume we're looking for someone a little more experienced who'll push Esson for his place (assuming he re-signs). Stratford....never did anything that made him stand out as a player we'd be tripping over ourselves to hold on to and with a couple of the younger guys showing promise then probably no space for him. Lionel....from speaking to him at the Player sponsors night I think he may be happy to leave. Not because he didn't like things here, but I understand he's got a sprog on the way and is looking forward to returning to France to play there and be around his family. I'll forgive him for not delivering on the overhead bicycle kick 25 yard screamer I've been holding out for all season!!! Setting aside all of the above, I actually find it a bit of a relief that we're seeing such quick and decisive transfer movement....we're normally still sitting here with a week or two till start of the new season waiting for the "rabbit from the hat" that's going to give us a bit of confidence going in to a new campaign. As it is I think we already have a lot to be confident about and hopefully it makes for a more enjoyable/settled summer for the squad and we can maybe get out of the blocks a bit quicker than we are known for when the SPL season kicks off in August.

Sanchez signed as well. Official Site With many of us believing this could be the toughest of the players to persuade to put pen to paper, I am now more confident than ever that we will not lose anyone Butcher wants to keep for next season.

There's not much difference between to the top 3 or 4 teams in DIV 1 and the bottom 3 or 4 in the SPL, IMO. Based on that I think it will be more about how we adapt to the differing style of football, than making any wholesale changes to the personnel. Of course the opportunity exists for us to bring in a couple of players and I don't for one moment expect that we won't see some coming and going, but some of those changes will be every bit as much down to adapting as opposed to any desperate need to improve.

With the return of the U19's proper, we will at least have a platform where the younger guys have an opportunity for more regular football without the need/pressure to be bringing them in to the first team squad (unless of course they are deemed capable and ready). Comments from those such as Pedz4king indicate their attendance at games is about as regular as their visits to the forum (i.e. not often) because if they had seen how those named have performed when given the opportunity then they might be a little less prone to embarrassing bouts of forum flatulence. What bugs me more is not the statements themselves, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but the fact that they don't substantiate their comments with any kind of reason.....which is why I generally ignore them. Fortunately, we have in Butcher a Manager who is not afraid of giving young talent a chance on the larger stage. Lads like Nick Ross have grabbed the opportunity given with both hands and proven their worth and although I may not see them as regular starters (yet), I would have no worries at all with seeing their name on the team sheet on match days.
  21. Yeah, but slight difference between throwing up a few pics snapped on your mobile phone which are full of orbs dust specks and putting together a proper gallery of images. You can look forward to something without the jibes....you're fortunate we have someone willing to put in the time to bring us these galleries, so little more gratitude wouldn't go amiss.
  22. That's gratitude for you!!!!
  23. That's where I was sitting Saturday, wonder if it was me!!! People have often referred to me as the "Eclipse" and when I stand up, those behind often have little option but to follow suit if they want ANY chance of seeing anything
