Supporters Trust Boxing Night
Nearly as embarassing as them relying on the supporters to raise the £3000 needed to buy it!!!

I'd be more interested if he knew how to turn them off...or at the very least found the mute button :016:

Supporters Trust Boxing Night
Agree 100% with the last post - will make further comment once I have had a chance to review my transcript from the AGM, but I am certain we were told by the Board that ALL members would be consulted and have the opportunity to comment on spending proposals before monies were distributed. Their seems to be some very loose interpretation of the constitution going on with regards to what qualifies as community development.

Lack of appreciation
I think CC has a massive fear of failure which is in direct conflict with his ambitions for the club. Here we have a guy who has given the best part of his career to ICT, who was in a 'job for life' behind the scenes and out of the direct public eye. He was offered the managers job which he had to think long and hard about taking (due to fear of failure) but his ambitous side was stronger and he couldn't turn down the chance. Move on to this day and I think he is still battling that conflict internally. I don't think he's so much "looking for excuses" as looking for everyone to be as ambitous and pationate as he is about the club. He needs that to fuel the part of his personality that saw him take the Managers job and to justify to himself that he made the right choice, and without it the "fear" creeps back in every now and again and nothing will have brought it back more than the result against Celtic. Thats when he appears to lash out at the fans in the manner he has done in this weekends press. He needs to learn though that fans are fickle creatures and like any creature, when they are attacked, they will retaliate or run and that his comments could be counter productive. There are 101 reasons why fans aren't as vocal or sounding as vocal as he would like, not all of them down to the performance on the pitch either. Personality, Stadium Atmosphere etc etc all play a part. As some wise dude once said - "Don't bring me problems, bring me answers" - so I would ask CC, what is the answer? what can the fans AND the club do to improve things?

Lack of appreciation
"If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team." Sorry, that part of the post just reminded me of that :015:

Who's to blame..
The way he reveresed into that van the other day, I'd say he was an "Utterly Useless" driver :015:

No more OF at home for me
Are you reading posts made by me in some kind of parallel universe? I said nothing about mergers on this thread :017:

Who's to blame..
It's a message board, what else are you meant to do? Or would you prefer we just stayed quiet after you posted, or rather, ignored you. Hey, that would be a great idea. Implement an ignore system which means that we don't have to put up with your pish day in day out. Now I would love to continue 'struggling against your line' but I have 9 1/2 hours of plying students with alcohol to go to. See that big button on the left hand side below a users Avatar....yeah that one that says IGNORE....it does exactly what it says on the tin :004:

No more OF at home for me
We weren't discussing non-attendance on the basis of cost, I was commenting purely in regard to the issue of not attending based on the likelihood of ending up next to/near opposition fans. Perhaps one (partial) solution which could be looked into would be segregating the uncovered area at the away end of the Main stand and increasing tickets given to the likes of the OF on these occasions. OK, it would need a small amount of investment to sort out the facilities and possibly erect some kind of temporary barrier, but it's a small price to pay to keep your own fans happy and see them coming back IMO. Until such time as our home crowds grow to a level whereby you will get 5000+ true ICT fans wanting/buying tickets then the club aren't likely to turn away money from anyone willing to part with it whether we like it or not. If you had read comments I had made on threads regarding the prices you would see that I fully agree with your point about that.

Intertoto Cup
Aberdeen have been invited to play in some tournament in the Far East so have/are considering withdrawing their application for the Intertoto.

No more OF at home for me
I can see where Gringo and others are coming from, but looking at it another way. If you decide not to go then your just making another seat available for them - it's self defeating.

Ian Black
It's not the bookings that bother me with Black, well they do, but I don't hate him for it or want to see him dropped because of it, what got to me was the whole throwing his shirt ordeal. That was too much, if it was an intentional act of disrespect for the club/badge then he can get tae feck. If it was just heat of the moment, red mist deal then he needs to apologise for it IMO. He is a great player with great potential and he has shown that time and again, but I don't want any player wearing the ICT Shirt unless they have some respect for the badge that's on it.

Graham Bayne
seems I missed the word "hot" off the end :001:

The Worst Cup Defeats
TCS nearly witnessed this grown man crying when the final whistle blew yesterday - so without a doubt it goes down as the worst I have ever felt at the end of ANY game.
-
Ian Black
I don't think his spell on the bench will have affected his fitness that much, it was more down to the fact that he chased everything, tackled everyone and generally worked his @ss off like it was the last game he would ever play yesterday. Doesn't matter who you are or how fit you are, you can't keep that up for 90 minutes. What we lack is another player of the same ilk to take his place as and when is needed.

It's a cruel game, very cruel!
It's as much our Job as it is Parky and CC's to lift the team again. We have to try and put yesterday in the back of our minds, hope lessons were learned and get behind the team 100% again against Utd.

Artur Boruc
This has got to be the most pety subject that comes up on these forums (and other club forums) over the season. Fans dish it out to players of the opposing team for 90 minutes and then get all upset when the players give a bit back. There is a line which neither fans nor players should cross but it's been a long time since I have witnessed our fans or opposing players cross it. Grow up FFS.

Charlie comments on Rory McAllister
I've seen McAllister play some great holding play in the corners of the park and muscle his way out of it in order to deliver a cross, but I've also seen him easily taken off the ball by guys half his size :shrug01:

Who's to blame..
And there we have it - it was all Santa's fault :002:

Worried about striking options?
Nope Yep. Just checked my football League review, Bayne scored in Feb23 '00 v. Aberdeen, whilst 20. Strange one this - Soccerbase does have him listed as scoring that day, but he's not included in the team line-up Clicky Clicky

Who's to blame..
I watched with disbelief as the subs were made. There's times to be brave and go for it and there's times where you have to dig in and hold on to what you have (a bird in the hand and all that). Black was immense yesterday and I'm not suprised he was knackered and had to be subbed, but to bring on a strikers and change the formation was, as has been said above, suicide. We obviously went in to this match expecting to have to go for broke in the final 15 to 20 minutes, that was obvious from the players we had on the bench, and this seems to have been the gameplan which CC stuck too despite the fact we were a goal up, it was like the whole thing was cast in stone and he had to follow it through regardless. I'm a huge fan of CC, but I'm afraid he got it wrong yesterday and we were punished in unbelievable fashion for it. One thing you can be sure of though is that CC will have realised himself by now where it all went t!ts up and nobody will be beating him up for it more than himself. Disappointed? - Yes I am Angry? - I was, but thats passed Calling for CC's head? - Not at all, he continues to learn from his errors IMO, and thats a strength in itself. If we had scored a second yesterday as a result of his substitutions and went on to win he would have been hailed as a hero and his decisions refered to as 'Brave' - as it is, it all went wrong and he has to live with his decisions being refered to as 'Stupid'. Some old and wise dude (probably) once said - "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger". CC has to be given time to develop as a manager, in the same way as players have to be given time to develop and I am still confident that he has a **** of a lot to offer us in the coming years. Yesterday was a very sore lesson to learn, but it won't be the only one CC will have to face as he progresses up a very steep managerial learning curve.

Celtic Rollcall
Your not wrong - although in fairness it will probably breakdown around Daviot and free-wheel all the way down the hill :015:

help please
I was getting rather worried that we wouldn't see our usual "Newly Registered, First Post asking for Tickets for a Big Game" thread. At least previous incumbents have at least been clever enough to try and disguise themselves with an ICT related username :015:
