  1. maybe those wanting a protest could go to a Clach game instead of the longman one weekend. that would make a statement and help clach financially at the same time. Brilliant idea. If 1000 ICT supporters went to the next conflicting Clach home game it would give them a bonus of ?6000. Wow - what a boost it would be to their coffers and maybe, just maybe, our board would wake up and smell the coff!
  2. DS always likes to be known as a very democratic individual as long as evryone agrees with him! The long and the short of it all is that he destroyed Doug Macgilvray and Alan Savage because they didn't agree with everything he said or wanted. Until Ken Thomson courted him into getting involved with ICT he had virtually no interest in football and I still firmly believe his only interest is the financial return on the Tulloch investment however much it was/is. He created the Trust to get shareholder approval and then changed the whole structure. Some will remember his promise to transfer the Tulloch Shares to the Supporters Trust after the agreed term of 5 years. Did he do it? NO. I suppose this was all good business as far as he was/is concerned but I think he should be considered a very good businessman - not an Eddie Thomson who really had his club in his heart.

    New Kits

Good opportunity to get away from the old arguments. The blue and black stripes/black shorts/blue socks for home and a complete change to yellow and red sripes/red shorts/yellow socks for away. An alternative could be Navy and White stripes.

    Zander

Zander has not shown any consistency and his best displays were arguably for Elgin City. Unfortunately potential is not everything and attitude is paramount. I will be very surprised if he is offered a new contract as I belive his immediate future lies in the lower leagues, which is no disgrace.
  7. It is and it looks mighty like he and Rory will be on their way.
  8. Always was and always will be known as CALEY so just accept it. :thumb04: Time for a complete change - GB also has to take the flak as well as the plaudits! We have to get rid of the "happy family heathmount club"
  9. Grassa on BBC Scot expressing his anger that the ref would not enter into any discussion with Brewster after the game and that his decisions have cost the club a lot of money. All very well making noises after the event but these things tend to even out overe the season and unfortunately we just have to take it on the chin! I would worry more about our run of poor results, especially at home - relegation would probably be terminal.
  10. They are playing in the East of Scotland first division and doing OK. Bar one or two, the opposition isn't up to lower SHFL.
  11. Your knowledge is fantastic Alex- where do you get your info from?

    McBain

I trust when you refer to non caley fans in fact you refer to Thistle fans I trust you mean that these friends rate ICT players as that other team you refer to went out of business about 15 years ago :thumb04: You obviously haven't a clue what you are talking about.
  13. We signed the following members of the first team squad from lower league sides: Phil McGuire (Dunfermline) Andrew Barrowman (County) Dougie Imrie (Clyde) Don Cowie (County) They have all been pretty integral to the side so far this season. We also signed Rankin from County and Paatelinan from Cowdenbeath. In addition to this, Garry Wood and Iain Vigurs were both taken from the fallout of Elgin City's youth set up, so they count as well. We've also made attempts to sign James McPake and Graeme Dorrans from Livingscum in the recent past. Good point but IMPO I wouldn,t class the 1st Divi or the demise of the ECFC Skillseeker programme as being the "lower leagues". Paati is the only one I would say came from the Lower Divis. I'm not looking for an argument here, just observing the fact that I don't believe we have a very structured scouting system for a Prem club. I do however stand to be corrected.
  14. Sorry, but I don't agree that you find gems thro trials. You find gems by scouting the lower leagues and I don't think we are very active in this department (Imrie may be an exception).
  15. U mean absolutely nothing to me you thorn :thumb04:
  16. Please don't refer to me as your friend cos I haven't got a clue who you are. We will see who the fool is when he is released either in Jan or at the end of the season.
  17. The frustrating thing with Rory is that he proves his critics right time and time again. He's lazy and would lose a header to Zander Sutherland! He hasn't battled for the ball in any appearance I've seen. It's really frustrating watching him coming on..when you know exactly what's coming next. Others like Duncan, Roscoe, Imrie etc have howlers, but then always seem to make up for it. As I say, I think ICT have let Rory down. He's just not an SPL Player. My money's on both Rory and Zander going either in Jan window or at end of season. Sorry, but neither is or ever has been good enough for a 1st team contract.
  18. I've known Rory since he came to the club from Aberdeen. When he started as a "skiilie" he had a major attitude problem and his lifestyle in Aberdeen at the weekends left a lot to be desired. He has changed a lot since then but I firmly believe the club management at that time promoted him to a full-time contract too early and imo he has progressed very little since his early days. His main problem is that he can't finish one on one situations, even when he played at U19 level and he needs to drop down a level or two to get confidence. I really don't see him being a prem league player but I can see him eventually doing well in the lower divisions or maybe even a spell in the SHFL. How would you like it if he were your son being verbally abused? Nobody deserves that kind of treatment!
  19. I am entitled to my opinion as as far as I am concerned nobody pours a drink down an alcoholics throat, nobody forces a junkie to shoot up and nobody forced him into a bookies. Unlike the other sheep that pity him because of his successful ICT years ( Which we are all thankful to him for ) as far as I am concerned - we reap what we sow. Ask Peterhead why they kicked him out Aye, things never change, ...te always comes out o the mouth when erses don't have a hole!
  20. Oh go on IHE - tell us what you know
  21. Must have hit him on the back of the heed.
  22. Well done the wee county. Maybe our young guns aint as good as they think they are. County have a lot of experience in their team and I think this showed. I don't think we should mock as I any full time team, no matter their age, should be a good match for any part timers. Don't forget the wonderful Zander and Dale Gillespie played but certainly didn't make much difference (maybe because the match profile wasn't what they are used to).
  23. And also on - http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Club...~892999,00.html Where it says........ Their is also an article on the Scotsman site at - http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/SPL-extend...sors.2256483.jp - Which reads...... And one final link - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/low/football/..._ct/1077686.stm - the BBC archives which also state that it was the Trust which would be taking ownership of the stadium. We reported on it at the time and from memory the discussion on the forum centred around the fact that although not ideal to be selling the family silver, because it was going into a Charitable Trust then it was the best we could hope for under the circumstances. To now discover that in reality the property and lease ended up in the hands of a company which had/has the power to do as they please with it, and that any gains would not would not necessarily benefit either the club or a Trust which was to be set up to serve the interests of the footballing community leaves a bad taste in the mouth. All this, IMO, adds up to a very clear picture of us having the wool pulled over our eyes, and whilst the situation may never change, I do think we deserve some form of explanation as to why we were mislead. I can't help but feel that the whole "Charitable Trust" thing was nothing but a smokescreen to divert attention from what was really going on, as opposed to a change of plan for the benefit of anyone other than one person. Well done Caley D - good digging and proud of you for speaking up. The only thing I could add is the fact that no matter what, our dear saviour was always only interested in one thing - the good of football in the town!
  24. I am no fan of Brewster but I must applaud him for blooding the youngsters.
