  1. I'll do it for what the other lads get and maybe we will see some improvement.
  2. We have 10 midfield players at the club, 11 if you include Barry. If CC is keeping so many just to "cover reserve games" he must be the first manager to enjoy such a luxury. Reserve games are for giving young players experience, providing match fitness for those recovering from injury and games for those not getting regular first team matches. I honestly don't think CC would sign "Reserves". Personally I feel he is way overloaded in this area but thankfully, I don't have to make these decisions.
  3. Here we go again. What he earns has absolutely nothing to do with anyone but himself and his employers. :018: If his contract was kept confidential in the first place, it would not be causing any problems in the dressing room.
  4. Well he certainly wasn't inadequate - Just ask his ex-wife Winnie - She was spotted on many occassions sliding up and down Nelson's Column..... :023: I take it that Nelson doesn't need an "extension" then. :024:
  5. I don't think Team ICT has anywhere near sufficient staff to make an impact Charles. I stand to be corrected but I am told they only have 2 f/t coaches and a great deal of their time is spent behind VDU's.
  6. I thought the new chairman announced a new gym and bar behind north stand. Any progress?
  7. Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean?

You must be having a laugh. Everywhere you look it's Tulloch this and Tulloch that! :012: They have been well rewarded for what they did but we are now on a new page in the book. What is wrong with CALEY or to a lesser extent JAGS? :021:
  9. Well said Johnboy. The sad fact of the matter is that Rory was promoted far too early and he has not been able to cope. Loan to Elgin for 6 months and take it from there. Good luck Rory.
  10. Very good news indeed especially after Saturday. If all the rumours about how much this lad earns are true, I'm sure a lot of fans (including myself) will expect a very slick hit rate. How many goals do you expect from him this year?
  11. That being the case, last night was an even worse result for the club!
  12. Rory would benefit from time away. Those who think "we need him for the reserves" really are way off the mark. The important point here is that he MUST get his confidence back and he will only do that by playing at a lower level until January. If he doesn't, then CC must think hard about his future.
  13. There is no replay as the cup is in sections: ICT, Ft William & Clach. If FW beat Clach, they go thro. Not a good result considering FW have just strung a team together and are hot favs to finish bottom of SHFL.
  14. A real gentleman and such a fine striker. King Willie was under 6' and it always amazed me how powerful, accurate and dominant he was in the air. I dreamt of him puling on the blue Caley shirt (sadly not to be) but it was always a pleasure watching him in the colours of Elgin and Jags. He will always be in my "Highland League Hall of Fame" as I doubt if we will ever see such a talent again. :clapping03:

  16. Very brave move. I honestly believed this was all spin but I take my hat off to the board for making a big name signing. I just hope there is no dressing room unrest and yer man bags 20 goals this season. :021: :clapping03:
  17. Wake up man - you are obviously caught up in all the hype. If we seek out realistic signings the fans (including me) will be more than happy. Big name (and big money) signings will only cause problems with the players who have done us proud. You can spend a lot of money on so called "super signings" and get no more than a journeyman performance (Graveson), something we can't afford! Sorry for voicing my opinion Chibber but if you don't like it - too bad. :016:
  18. So our D of F is discussing players wages on the golf course (or clubhouse). :33: If £4k is fact, it just confirms that we were never at the races for this guy. Charlie could get another 5 or 6 decent players in if he had that sort of budget available. I have said all along that this is a very funny PR exercise but we should put it to bed now.
  19. Come on guys, we are not in the market for high earners. If I honestly thought there was ANY chance of signing him I would be DELIGHTED!
  20. Let's be frank and realistic. This is no more than a PR exercise and we are all getting caught up in the spin. More like we spend time and effort in dealing with the priorities - a DEFENDER. Christie and Bennet have both qualified their objectives and having signed Macdonald, ANOTHER striker certainly wasn't one of them. Put this one to bed before we fall asleep reading more of this nonsense! :012:
  21. Well done Charlie. Potentially a brilliant appointment. Just what our young uns need, someone with a playing pedigree to help them achieve their goals. :021: Also nice to see some changing their minds about Gary. :tic01:
  22. My understanding is that, unofficially, Grant has been given permission to form a testimonial committee which the club will support. This cannot be written into his contract for taxation reasons. Generally the rules are that if the club give the assurances and do the organizing then monies paid to the player would be liable to income tax, whereas, if the player and his committee do it all, using their own bank account, they are exempt from income tax. Agree with length of service being criteria. Not sure about the non-playing staff bit though. The purpose of testimonials, historically, was to provide players coming to the end of their career with a nest egg to see them through the transition from football to something else. Cant see how non-playing staff would come into the criteria on the grounds that they can work to state retirement age. I believe the SFA must approve every game in the country that is played by affiliates of the association. Teddy Scott, the old Aberdeen kitman certainly had a testi some years back but maybe the SFA don't allow this now. As far as TC is concerned, I think he has called too many people fing aholes even to raise a testi committee :33:
  23. Normally based on length of service and not games played. Needs SFA approval. Also available for non-playing staff if deserving.
  24. Sorry but Kel must be in the running as I don't think he was ever selected.
  25. 1. Celtic 2. Rangers 3. Aberdeen 4. Hearts 5. Hibs 6. Dundee United 7. Kilmarnock 8. Falkirk 9. Motherwell 10. ICT 11. Gretna 12. St Mirren
