  1. Don't know about the "rights" CaleyD but former director Dougie Riach had a kilt made in the ICT tartan and was pictured in a match programme some time before McGil was ousted.
  2. The tartan was created during the Doug MacGilvray reign but because Sutherland wanted to "cleanse the club of the old board forever" it seemed to have been forgotten. Sad fact of life but I hope it makes a comeback as it is quite attractive and gives the club yet another identity. However, it didn't happen during Sutherland's time so it must have been a crap idea!
  3. This meeting will need a very strong chair as I have a feeling the BIG guns will be out to bully this uprising of the natives.
  4. At long last we have awakened to the fact that this club was used for purposes other han football and what a shame a large number of posters sided with this man and blasted Dougie MacGilvary and the Coff. How many of you remember how: he insisted that the old Members Club be disbanded and their vastly diluted voting rights transferred to a new Supporters Trust. He didn't like the MC for some reason. he publicly stated at general meeting of shareholders that Tulloch's would transfer their shares to a new Supporters Trust after his 5 year control period. Did he do it? NO he filled the shareholder's and supporters heads with popular solutions and the majority fell in love with him. Sorry but you took the bait! he loves personal showdowns - DS v D MacGilvary - DS v Alan Savage - and now DS v DJS - he is a very, very good businessman who always wants to get his own way! Beware DJS I could go on and on and on but what good would it do now. All I pray for now is a FOOTBALL person having enough money to buy this guy out and run the club for the benefit of FOOTBALL and GENUINE FOOTBALL FANS without whom this club will NOT exist.
  5. When I initially mentioned JD as DOF my tongue was planted firmly in my cheek. Perhaps I should have made that clear to you as it could have stopped you reaching for your angina pills! Oh it was Jud (JD) you were talking about. That is a completely different story ...................................
  6. An experienced manager probably wouldn't work for long with our DOF
  7. Please don't get me wrong here, JB was "got rid off" by the people in charge of our Youth Development because he wouldn't bow down - good on him! As much as I respect what he has done for YOUTH football in Inverness - he just does not fit the DOF role ( or what should be the DOF role). National and even International contacts are what is needed to be effective - not just being a contact between the board and the team management and seemingly negotiating players contracts.
  8. Sorry but you must still be suffering from a Xmas ovefill. The DOF job needs more than the CV you state. As much as I admire the work he does in youth circles, JB would take nothing to that particualr table.
  9. docherty does a great job as actually does clelland Can you tell me exactly what John Doc does - apart from collecting the balls at training, telling jokes and giving a pep talk to the reserves? Sorry, as much as I like John Doc, I think the time has come to change the WHOLE back room staff- for the benefit of the CLUB - not the individuals! 2 good suggestions but then JB as DOF! Good youth operator but absolutely NO connections in senior football. IMO a DOF needs to have the respect of the management and players and have a very sound network of contacts in the senior game at Prem level.
  10. Craig Brown - Director of Football John Robertson - Head Coach Duncan Shearer - Assistant Coach Steven Pressley - Player Coach Sorry but that means goodbye to Bennett, Brewster, Thomson, Docherty and probably Clelland
  11. Hav said it many times before on here - nice lad but just not up to this level - no matter what position!

Wish that was the case Caley 100 but I think you will find that Sandy Catto bought the Coff's shares some time ago so unfortunately they are already in the "dynasty".
  13. If he stays, he could break us for the short and long term future of this club. We need an overhaul of the football department - it needs a change - we need it NOW! :thumb04:
  14. I'm sorry but I agree with Craig Levein - the boy is NOT SPL standard - never has been - never will be! God only knows what Brewster sees in him.
  15. It is not only Brewster and Thomson that should go. If you take the plaudits, you also take the flak!
  16. David Sutherland But is he really a supporter?

Sutely you realise where Sutherland goes Grassa follows!
  18. Caley also had a Yellow with blue trim shirt, blue shorts and yellow socks. Rarely worn as far as I can recall.

    Striker

If he is now scoring so many goals, he must be playing at a level which is below what he was used to.
  20. Don't see the need to mock the poor woman who I am sure suffered quite considerably. She was one of the OK teachers at the High School in the old days.
  21. They may have spoken but why give money to a manager who has no motivational qualities. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but I can see things going from bad to worse if we don't move on behind the scenes.
  22. At the club AGM, David Sutherland (Chairman of the Supporers Trust - not Mr Tulloch) asked what the roles were of the current board and the answer was that they didn't have any specific roles or areas of responsibility, although that was something that they were prepared to look at. All the board members are successful business men in their own right, so I can't understand the problem when they get together to run our football club. While it isn't their responsibility to put their hands into their pockets (something that some of them do in a lot of different ways), but they do have a responsibilty that we have a business model which is sustainable. Increasing revenue streams and ensuring that all avenues are being explored. Unlike the current situation where things are getting worse and worse, so the crowds will drop and drop, losing revenue at every game. Less fans = less strips, less programmes, etc, etc, etc. I am fully aware that they have no legal obligation to dip into their own pockets, but what some people are missing is the fact that each director is sitting on the board for a reason - one in particular for a very healthy salary - some for business benefits and others for their professional expertise for which they will be paid (finance and legal). They are all responsible for raising funds to operate the business at the level THEY feel appropriate so if they can't support Prem League footie we drop down. Are we then a sustainable business? Are we then attractive to the fans? IMO - NO! What happens then? The club downsizes and relocates! Who benefits then? Please don't give me " It is not their responsibilty". They are responsible for EVERYTHING that happens to our club and the sooner some contributors wake up and smell the coffee the better! Analyse each director and their business interests and make your own mind up. Maybe it is time to lay off Brewster, he is an employee. It is not his fault he is still in a job - it's his employers - OUR directors! Let's direct some heat on them and see how they respond to their RESPONSIBILITIES! They may even decide to keep the current management team! I did not see this posted on the'Is brewster to blame' thread where a number of us did try to indicate that the board had some part to play in this current position we find ourselves in. You are right, it wasn't. It's just that this "Board" and our beloved saviour thing grates my nipples.

  24. What a waste of time. It doesn't matter 2 flying whatevers how many and who they are! What I would like to know is WHO does WHAT because we have major football problems at this club and they will only get worse unless the BOARD (not the DOF) gets the finger out and does something positive. If it needs money, the BOARD needs to find it - even if it means the DIRECTORS dipping into their own pockets - if they don't or can't, then resign and get those in who can. This has happened before and I can see it happen again GET YOUR FINGERS OUT AND SAVE OUR CLUB
