  1. Although I fully support the transfer of voting rights from the Members Club to the Supporters Trust :021: it must be remembered that the other Supporters Trusts in Scotland were not handed any gifts, they raised the money to BUY their rights - hence the only reason that this stake is "remarkable"! Now that the so called "old boys club" (many good people on that membership) has been basically removed from the scene, I only hope that the Supporters Trust is not made up of YES men and their vote is used solely for the benefit of the Football Club.

    Jono Smith to Clach?
  3. I just cannot believe CC would contemplate playing someone who has committed to another club in the same division. Dods is now history and we must prepare for the future starting with our game against Celtic. Caff is totally capable of taking over, a different type of player yes but he has given this club a lot more than Dods and more importantly, is committed to us! Get whatever we can for Dods now or just give him training facilities for the rest of the season.
  4. Shirt looks OK but I hope the name panel doesn't make the whole thing look naff! :024: Look forward to our new Blue and White home strip :021:
  5. We need cover for Ikey who will do the job just fine. Jono Smith is a super prospect but he is just too small!
  6. The club used to issue free tickets to all the primary schools in Inverness. We did it in 1996,97,98,99,2000 and then we got too big for our boots. The sooner we get back to the grass roots the better!
  7. Sorry SP but I just do not believe that ALL players are treated the same as far as pay is concerned - no matter who tells us so!
  8. Some good ideas re price structures and I would totally agree that the club should be making it a lot easier to purchase tickets etc. and become more customer friendly. A start could be to have a "Mobile Ticket Office" (incl merchandise) which could be sited at various town centre points at specific times thro the week and even visit places such as Nairn, Forres, Beauly, Black Isle etc. No need for premises and the associated costs, just a converted "ice cream van". The "Office" could also visit secondary schools. May or may not work but why not try?

Saw Buchanan 2 weeks ago in Scottish Cup tie. Small and nippy but nowhere near Prem Lg standard. Rory is by far a better player and imo £10k could be better spent elsewhere.
  10. I'm all for moving forward and if the Supporters Trust is progressive and has reasonable business acumen, I have no problem with the transfer of voting rights. However, we should ALWAYS remember that these shares represent the investment made by the two old clubs and ICT would not be here without them.
  11. Black is a petulant little boy who needs to cool his heels.
  12. Some thought the same about David Sutherland.

Jono Smith at a shake off 6' is not the biggest but he has a build which would put a lot of older players to shame. He has exceptional hands and is as brave as a Gurkha. If he was 6'4'' he would be a real threat to Broonie never mind Ike!
  14. :024: Strange post Alex - where do you get your info from? Spartans didn't get anywhere near qualifying for the Cup this year. Annan beat Edinburgh University 2:0 in the semis and they play Preston Athletic in the final at Fir Park on 11/11. Saw Spartans recently and tbh I don't think they would live with the top HFL teams this year.
  15. Whatever happened to the ICT Saver account with the Scottish Building Society. My son still has an account.

Duncan wouldn't buy as much squash as Cooper :005:
  17. Spin, Spin and yet more Spin. I thought DS had left. Thankfully Alan Savage has come out and nipped this one in the bud!

They are all history. Not a good idea going back.
  19. Pele is the ideal man to take them up a level but I hope he manages to leave the usual bagage at home.

The sooner people accept that we are an established prem league club the sooner we will get rid of this tag. OK our players do not get paid the riches of some other clubs but the majority seem happy with their lot. Maybe it's the so called top clubs that are failing to achieve! I think our problem is going to be in future years when CC has to replace some of our "over-achievers" with players of similar or better ability.
  21. Well said Kingsmills. The Coff put his money on the table at a time no others would touch us. He was courted because he wouldn't toe the party line and then dumped like a sack of tatties. CaleyD - The front pages never tell the whole story! Good luck Alan Savage - I hope you can lead the Club (not just the team) to the next level and write your own piece of history!
  22. Very interesting reading gentlemen. DS (and let's not forget the likes of Ken MacKie + directors) certainly created what seems like a reasonable business concern and I do not think this could have been achieved without them. However, we rent our ground, including the two new stands which I believe are owned indirectly by DS or one of his family companies. We are unlikely to make a profit on a regular basis. We will always be a club unable to afford top wages (so what?). With good financial management we will probably wash our face each year. DS left at a time when our accounts showed a profit (arguably because of the Brewster settlement from DU) but things are still very tight financially. All said, I really cannot believe that DS or Tullochs have not made financial gain for their efforts but I do not grudge them one solitary penny! Can we progress from here without some serious financial injection? David Sutherland, Ken MacKie and Doug MacGilvary are now history- well done to them all and their directors. :clapping04: They all had their strengths and weaknesses but we now need to leave them in the history books and give our new chairman the fan's full support. Another 1000 on home gates would be a good start.
  23. Saw BI in Tesco's today booking an eye test. Obviously having problems but I don't know what an optician can do for him.
  24. Has Les Fridge been sacked then? Surely that was a big price to pay for his Nairn side doing us in the NofS cup.
