Why would Savage want to win our support? He is history and doesn't need support from anywhere. This is all a personal battle between Sutherland and Savage and as I have said previously, this is not the first battle Sutherland has fought and won (remember Doug McGillvray). Sutherland, by his own admission is very democratic but only if you agree with him.

Was it not the case that Sutherland was pictured with Marius when he signed?(indicating his support). I don't believe he wasn't fully aware of the financial mechanics when the player was signed so why now turn and say we can't afford him? This all smells of a power struggle, not the first Sutherland has fought and ultimately won. One or two people are building up an nice wee investment here which will produce a very nice payout in time.

i don't know how old you are TCF but you may not remember the problems the merger created between the old caley and jags dissidents. at the end of the day, it was the assets of both clubs which gave birth to our beloved ICT and both sets of the real fans wanted to retain the colours of the old clubs. I may at times go on about BLUE BLUE BLUE but impo I would not object to a complete change of colours as long as nobody tampers with the name which I feel is vitally inportant.

What about Billy Urquhart joining the board and putting something back into football. He has just sold his business and has reputedly pocketed in excess of ?2m. He has a sound knowledge of football and would make an excellent DOF.
