Well we obviously didn't win it or the official website would be letting us know by now. Why do we only hear about the wins - why don't we hear about the development of these kids and what they learned by participating in these tournaments. Are we competing in tournaments which include other PROFESSIONAL CLUBS? I may be wrong but I don't think we are. Our boys would learn a lot more if we did!

So we still can't get basic information skills right!! I really thought we would have learned by now. Maybe better to keep the stadium closed Sunday to Friday and employ someone part-time to update the website with specific information. Sorry caleyboy but the basic information has been on ICTFC.com since 18th July. If you read the article fully you'll see it states prices for three games and that for CIS game it states accompanied children free. Can they really be more clear than that. Read it here I think if you read the post you will see that it was not me seeking any information so I had and have no need to read the article. So the problem is even worse. Our website states the terms but our staff still give out incorrect info - well done Alex MacLeod for supporting my suggestion that ALL club communications are made via the Website.

Let's face the facts folks. On our budget we will be doing VERY well to stay in the SPL and we should be happy with that.

The best interpretation is one where William Blake, who wrote the poem, is actually saying how totally crap England (well he should really have said Britain but under the circumstances we'll accept England) was with its "dark satanic mills" and all the other trappings of the Industrial Revolution. What Blake is asking is how much better the country might have been if Jesus had actually paid a visit? - which one myth claims he did do. Then in the latter stages of the poem Blake resolves to jump into his Chariot of Fire and sort England out himself. Clearly the Chariot of Fire must have had a mechanical problem during the current World Cup. Also, it's therefore a bit unforunate that the film Chariots of Fire should be about a Scottish athlete Eric Liddell. Probably the best thing about the poem is that it gave a composer called Hubert Parry the excuse to write the tune. It's actually not fair. England get all the best tunes but tag the most awful words on to them - Land of Hope and Glory is another case in point whilst all we get is an Anglophobic dirge by a beardie in an Arran jumper. William Blake was a member of what you might call the Nutcase School of English poetry. Another member was Samuel Taylor Coleridge who was a complete dopehead. In fact one day Coleridge was composing a poem called Kubla Khan whilst out of his face on some kind of concoction. There came a knock at the door and he spent some time speaking to a man from a place called Porlock. When he got back to his seat, the trip was wearing off and he couldn't remember any of the psychedelic nonsense that had been going on in his head previously. Hence (mercifully!) Kubla Khan is very short since it really is a load of meaingless rubbish so we have good reason to be grateful to the individual now known as The Man From Porlock. On the other hand Coleridge did manage to complete the almost equally barking Rime of the Ancient Mariner. There is also a connection between English poetry and ICT since Terry Butcher's English residence is in a village called Stoke Poges in Buckinghamshire. It was there that a poet called William Gray wrote what is known as the Elegy Written In A Country Churchyard - or Gray's Elegy - and Gray is also buried there. That's the one that begins "The curfew tolls the knell of parting day." Sometimes these school holidays get a bit quiet...... :D Charles - you are supposed to be on your hols so you really should get out more!

Some on this site speak with forked tongue. One minute you blast the so called "sweettie rustlers" the next you want to ban the hooters! This bluddy stadium needs an atmosphere - let them hoot as much as and as loud as they want.:

Maybe that fine idea could be reserved for one of the bars in the Caley Club. That is probably an even better idea Charles. A fitting tribute to a long standing supporter remembered by many, not just read about in the newspapers.

Very good point OCG. I really feel this is being taken too far. This is very much a personal view but many many ICT supporters have passed away having contributed much more to the club without any suggestion of a charity walk, club tribute etc. OK, the guy climbed Everest and died in the process but he died doing what he enjoyed. Others have passed away in suffering, after a long illness or by tragic accident. Does anyone know how many times he watched ICT? Was he ever at a home game? IMPO I feel enough has been said and done about this unfortunate guy and we should let him and all the other supporters who have lost their lives rest in peace.

In no way do I want to disrespect Peter's achievements but one of our longest serving supporters and I really do mean longest serving supporters, Hamish Munro passed away recently. Will the club be asked to honour Hamish in the same way? I know he didn't climb Everest but he was a supporter!

Two opposing viewpoints, but having known Kenny personally for a few years, I would have to say Don is correct as opposed to SMEE. My post wasnt a statement....it was a question....hence why it was punctuated with a question mark. I was exploring the possibility that he could be just another of sutherlands puppets, given his previous employment history! Agree with you SMEE. Knew him from another life so let's just give him a chance and wait and see before we build him up to be something he may not be.

I too relish the thought of TB dealing with the valuations of players in and out but will he be allowed to? If he does, what is the need for a DofF? OBTW valuation is now 2million pesetas because of new government. :D

You are spot on jaggie1994. I really do laugh when all the guessing starts and at the end of the day NOBODY on this board (probably even our FC Board) has the faintest idea on player valuations. Our record for selling players is dire and you can decide who is to blame for that. I really don't see it changing much unless TB does the business. Sorry but this is a nonsence thread so I would guess that our squad is worth 5 million pesetas.

Why not the local boys "DRONEZONE". Saw these lads for the first time at Charleston Academy last night and they were very very good. 3 Pipers, Drums, Bass and Keybords. Young lads but very good musicians.
