  1. It can't be this, because it closes at 5pm on Monday and i know this because i watch Sky Sports News every night as part of my nightly routine and they have advertised their programme for the whole of that day until 5pm. As far as I'm aware, the SFA will accept registrations up to midnight Monday.
  2. As far as I'm aware the position is still the same Scotty but all applications need board approval. Just imagine if McGil or Coff wanted to splash the cash - Hell would freeze over!
  3. When were our shares repriced to ?2.50 a pop Alex? The last I heard Sutherland had them at 60p but that was many many years ago. From memory, face vaue is ?1. Good idea tho and why not be able to buy them over 10 months at a tenner a month?
  4. I really don't see this lot investing CaleyD as I don't think they want to see us continue full-time. I think there is a hidden agenda here and yes, it would scare me also if the builder and his cronies dug deep but I don't see it. HELP someone out there - we really are a club worth developing!
  5. Our raw material is FOOTBALL and our board of directors are responsible for the provision of funds to conduct our day to day business. I suppose some could argue that they are doing just that but I for one do not take any pleasure in the fact that one day we are an established prem league team (not club) and the next a mid table 1st Div side. Some questions: 1: Can the Club support (financially and structurally) Prem Div football in Inverness and compete at a level we were until recenly quite capable of doing? 2: If our Club has insufficient funds to enable our Manager to structure a side capable of returning to the Prem Div what actions are they taking to attract substantial further investment in order that he may do so? 3: Do our directors see our immediate and longer term future as a part-time lower league outfit and fund the business accordingly? I could go on and on but unless I'm reading the book the wrong way round, I feel you will get a positive answer to the third option. We only have until midnight on Monday to get an answer.
  6. I think this may be quite simple. Only ourselves and Ross County have a DoF. At every other club the manager deals with all player situations. Having said that, Ross County seem to follow the right road - so maybe, just maybe, it's just the way we do it - or don't do it. :( :D Unless we can get fresh investment into the club, seriously review each and EVERY board member and quickly get our fingers out, we will be sitting in the SECOND Division! Point 1. Many clubs have DoF. Bear in mind we dont actually have managers. We have Head Coaches. Point 2. Ross County have the luxury of some recent investment Point 3. The 'Board' are made up of people deemed to be the best people to run the club. They are not the people with the money to help the club. There is every chance the board are doing the best they can but just don't have the investment to do better. Point 1: I really would like you to tell me which other 1st Div teams and for that matter Prem Div teams have a DoF? Point 2: Our board is made up of people who Sutherland knows will not rock his boat and a number have substantial funds which they have NOT invested in the business they are running (ICT). The time for change is NOW, before we drift further away from the top flight. It is unlikely that we will attract the investment needed as long as Sutherland has control. Do we all now see the problem?

  8. We seem to be more interested in the Rod Stewart concert!!!
  9. Not the worst idea I've ever heard... :024: It seems only now that some people are beginning to see through what our "saviour" did when he ousted the "old guard" and became so popular. Let's not forget who brokered the deal - none other than Doug McGil's right hand man - Ken Thomson! (Better to know who your enemies really are). Has the bubble now burst? Will our beloved club survive long term? We should be OK tho, a current director once quoted "Mr Sutherland is doing this for the love of football". I will leave you all to make your own minds up about the reasons and who actually "loves football". .......................forget all that right now - now is the time to Believe. Butcher will LAUGH in the face of adversity and take us back to the SPL. BELIEVE. I really do hope so but we need to be a Prem League CLUB not just a Prem League TEAM!
  10. MONEY - or should I say the LACK of it!

  12. See our former squad/reserve player Tom Parratt is still with Airdrie and playing against us today.
  13. Maybe Butcher and Malpas are a bit too professional for our very amateur CLUB?

and this is why some people dont listen to you! 1st of all, i actually didnt even know anything about that concering McGuire. But hey should we all now start to throw abuse at Tokely just because he did it aswell and that you said we should boo wife beaters. Get a grip. I never booed Rory McAllister, I never booed Michael Fraser, I never booed Robert Eagle, I never booed LDZ(while he was on the pitch), I never booed Barrowman(while he was on the pitch) And i never rated McDonald from the get go, so with that post you have assumed that everyone in Section G is the same??? Dont think so, so how about you get your facts right before you go tarnish everyone with that vile brush you have. All this has started because if i was at the game i "MIGHT" have joined in with the chants/abuse against Imrie. So before you go off on one, how about waiting for/or better yet go and abuse someone on here who actually did abuse him at the game rather than taking it out on someone who voiced an opinion. Come on guys - don't get your knickers in a twist! Imrie IS arrogant but NOBODY should be subjected to verbal or any other form of abuse. Nature will take it's time and he will get his sometime in the future.
  15. A pity he was no use with us then!
  16. He is married to McLeish's sister. That's how he got the job!
  17. Coyle is nowhere near experienced enough for euro football and I don't think loyalty will feature in his decision. Money will.
  18. Are you winding us up "starchief"? I must have been asleep when the transfer figures were announced!
  19. Who told you we are running the team on SPL wages Alex? In every contract there is a clause to reduce terms if a team is relegated so those who had contracts extending into this season would have been caught. The new players, including Foran signed at the begining of this season certainly won't be on Prem contracts. Bennett is not that daft.
  20. There are ways of making existing shares worth virtually nothing. Paisley Gilmore did it to the OLD GUARD at Saints. Don't know if it would be possible at Caley tho.
  21. Is Tommy ok with this? I might just drag myself along to this - haven't been to a rugby match for years. Hopefully the Kingsmills Suite will be open to non-members. What the hell has it got to do with Tommy? He is the groundsman not the Chairman!

Our club have gone backwards in the last 6 months. There is an adequate U19 league in which most SFL teams play, including Ross County and we have to field a team full of U17's in the National Cup competition. It's about time our BoD sorts this out and give our future some attention!
  23. Always good for a laugh is alex!
  24. Great PR for the club. Well done Terry! Those of you who question why he is on the show really should get a life!
