  1. He's been waxing lyrical on P&B too, which probably won't help.... Posted Today, 14:10 I always look forward to going to Paisley as it is very like the Highlands of olde. Inverness has become too cosmopolitan and city dwellers are turning the place in to a venerable "oasis" of culture, attracting top businesses, tourism booms and a feeling of wealth and inevitable opulence. It will not be long before the place becomes the Abu Dhabi of Scotland. I will be travelling in the horse and cart with three of ma muckers. The trap has been banned from Inverness abut nobody bats an eyelid in Paisley. I can park it up in any street and let the neddies **** all over the place - it is pleasingly acceptive to the local folk. And the abundance of troughs on street corners is applauded as well. The other plus is that we will be able to get the old shell suits out of the cupboard. The dress code in the city has also debarred us from the comfort of the apparel but in Paisley, it is a bit like Eastern europe of olde as everybody is in shell suits and ya just blend in. Inverness has become too strict on substance misuse but Methadone and other street drugs are freely available and I am impressed that outlets such as Burger vans and Ice Cream vendors all appear to have a veritable menu available. It is also great to see Syringes back on the shelves of the local shops. I expect Inverness to have at least double figures at the game and that should be enough to promote a heady atmosphere in the hollow Lego environment and the home support will be heavily influenced by the Sponsored silence day promoted by the local Gay and Lesbian Society. And as a Seer I have a recurring dream where the glorious vision of Ross "Cafu" Tokely punching the polluted air as he cracks in a wonder winner in the SPL against his biggest detractors. So please back off the criticisms of Paisley. It is a wonderful reminder of how Inverness used to be.
  2. Yeah, I agree.... It was disallowed 'cos the assist ref thought it looked offside.... but in fact it was handball! Also agree we might have had a legit claim for a penalty.... but then again so had they!
  3. Have another look at Sutherland's "goal" looked to me like he used an arm to get the ball in the net.
  4. Could you take him in tow on Saturday, Old Caley Girl, and make sure he sees out the entire game? Too many of his recent match reports on the away fixtures would tend to make you think a game of footie only lasts 45 minutes.
  5. Good post, ICT Paisley... Totally agree - I've given you a star for that! There have been many encouraging signs so far this season. The 1st half performance against Celtic, who really struggled to break us down that day. The demolition job at Tannadump and a hard fought and useful point rescued at Easter Rd... When TB has a fully fit squad to choose from, the results will get definitely get better.
  6. Naaay, lass..... Dundee Barry is trying very hard to be the new IHE.
  7. I agree with trying a sweeper system, but not with Proctor, who wouldn't have tackled a fish supper on Saturday..... And why drop Esson after we the way he played against Celtic in the opening league game of the season? He very nearly broke their hearts that day. Esson Golabeck Duff Tokely Munro Shinnie Ross Cox Duncan Foran Rooney Odhiambo,McBain, Hayes,Sanchez, Tuffey, I'd like to see Odhiambo and Hayes on for the whole second half.

  9. Severe anxiety disorders can develop from reading too many of your posts.....

  13. Probably just you and IHE....
  14. It is hard to work that one out. We were about halfway through last season, before Duncan was recalled to the side after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Oddly enough his return seemed to coincide with that long unbeaten run in we enjoyed in the second half our season in Div1. I'd like to see him and Duff in a central midfield pairing. Cox has not been very convincing at SPL level.
  15. It was an enjoyable game, and I agree the 3-1 scoreline certainly flattered the Hertz. I also enjoyed my first visit to the Sportsmans Bar today (why no draught beer?) and my half-time pie and coffee was superb.
  16. Certainly a conundrum with With Nick Ross and Hayes. I think they both prefer to play on the right, but Ross is definitely better on the left, than Hayes is. If Eric had stayed on we might have at least grabbed a consolation goal. I didn't think Sutherland added anything much to the overall performance.
  17. Yes indeed....Brazilianesque... Good description! Eric's got everything - in a nutshell, the complete footballer.... I've also heard he's the most well endowed guy in the dressing room.
  18. I'll give you a green feckin dot fer that. Jeeesus.... what did it look like on TV? I'm p1$$ed off, 'cos I set my Sky+ to record this one... Trying to watch it now and it says the recording failed. That might have something to do with the fact I don't subscribe to ESPN...
  19. Eric's goal was a feckin masterpiece.... an incredible first touch and then a superb finish....It was a work of art... a thing of beauty..... One of the best goals I've ever seen at TCS.... Wtf was wrong with it?
  20. IHE obviously on the wind up with his comments on Rossco and Eric - they were two of our best players today, along with Nick Ross and Duff.
  21. Relegation dogfight? Surely not... I thought we were unlucky to concede a goal right on the stroke of half-time. We had more than enough chances to take a least a point from this one. Things can only get better. Once we get McCann, Gillet and Richie back and fit again, the results will come.
  22. skirt
  23. That's a major blow.... He's been great for us every game he's played.
  24. Very true... but will you be hitting the Innes saloon for some liquor first? Nice to see ya at the Innes Rog! dont collect yngwie on the way up( bit of a jonah for home games) The entire home support is a bit of Jonah for home games....
  25. I'll give him a warm welcome too, but then I hope he misses a penalty and then gets himself sent off - ideally before half-time.
