  1. Well said GMD. Agree totally. The wee guys can run rings round the big guys, sometimes, hopefully. Andrew Greig looks a good prospect, despite the comments - players don't all need to be giants to be great.
  2. I will have a full car of fans going to this game. Love the friendlies - especially for the touchline banter with the locals.
  3. Agreed. Lovely bloke. Wishing you every success, Duncan. All the best. x
  4. I'm confused. I printed up the details of the prices from ICT website on 8th May and these are a lot different to those now on line and also in price list enclosed with a letter I received from the Club today asking me to renew my season ticket. The differences are in the quoted Early Bird prices. Although it doesn't affect me, I also note that concessions are now for those persons over 65 whereas concessions up to now were for over 60s. Another sneaky price rise ICT? Which prices are correct - those printed from the ICT website on 8th May or the dearer ones.
  5. Going by Hamilton's website, tickets are ?20, and ?10 for concessions, under 18s etc
  6. Maurice Malpas, ICT FC Assistant Manager, has very kindly arranged for the first team squad and background staff to be in attendance in the Stadium between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday 10th May 2011, especially for the younger members of the Supporters Club and also for the presentation of awards to the Supporters Club Player of the Year and other annual awards. Please encourage all young Supporters Club fans (and maybe some oldies too) to attend on that evening, to have photos taken with the players, get tops autographed, see the awards being made and generally have a good time without being late to bed before school the next morning. Please phone or text 0751 976 3507 to confirm attendance on the night.
  7. The Supporters Club bus will leave from the Stadium at 11am on Saturday 30th April to go to Aberdeen. Please phone or text 0751 976 3507 to book a seat on the bus.
  8. Really good game - glad I made the effort to go. Good atmosphere and 1st time I have ever seen a ref admit he made a mistake and rescind a yellow card! Well done, that man. Scotland could have had quite a few goals and there were a few stars of the future on show, including the young man from Tain (no 14). Just a pity he didnt get a goal.

    Richie Foran

Wow! What an advert for our Club Captain. With age comes experience, and eventually "keep the heid" and I, for one, thank Mrs Butcher, she saw what we see now - a player with heart. Whatever had gone before, Richie has done ICT proud. Good on you, Richie - a lovely fella and a charmer too!

    Aberdeen Away

Supporters bus will pick up fans anywhere requested on A.96 on way to Aberdeen. Please phone or text 0751 976 3507 to book your seat.
  11. The Supporters Club bus to Perth will leave from the Stadium at 4.30pm on Monday 25th April. Entry prices to the game are ?10 and ?5. Book your seat on the bus by phone or text to 0751 976 3507.
  12. Certainly will. Have only missed two games all season (home and away) and will be in my usual seat in Section G, North Stand, for season 11/12.
  13. Our record under Terry Butcher isn't too bad in that respect, although it doesn't come close to Pele's, what was it, three and a half seasons without a 0-0? We've only had one league 0-0 this season (against Motherwell), two last season (against County and Dunfermline) and one under Terry the season before (against Celtic, in his first game - which we can let him off with). Re the original post, though, I fully expect us to make an @rse of it against Hamilton - they're bound to win at least once before they take their leave, and given our record against them, we look like the most likely victims. Oh dear, Mary, I do hope you are wrong - we want to sing all day about who's going down - they would do it to us so we will do it to them and, to Doooogie too - he who didnt want to stay with us in the SFL and now where is he? Off to the SFL. Poor Doooooogie...
  14. Last time ICT played at Kirkcaldy (Raith), one fan actually was so bored she counted the number of trains which passed during the game - 23! Do any of these trains stop, if requested? for fans to attend games?
  15. I'd love to know who is lying in all of this. I know who my money would be on!!! The same bunch of chancers that keep trying to tell us that the fans want a 10 team spl. Doncaster must have his eye on spin doctors job at no.10 tube!!!!
  16. Just a wee reminder that the Supporters Club bus will leave the Stadium at 9.30am this Saturday to go to the game v Kilmarnock. Please note the earlier time of departure from usual. Phone, or text, the Hotline - 0751 976 3507 to book a seat.
  17. There's a lovely lady steward, often at Section G, North Stand, who has banter with all the fans and gives out sweets every time she is on duty there. She is always smiling and gets the best out of everyone. Now, she's an example of how to be a Steward (I think her name's Helen). I hope she's there tomorrow.
  18. I am neither pro or against Rangers or Celtic or whoever, in Europe, but will support any Scottish team in Europe with a majority of mainly UK players - which neither Rangers or Celtic do, or many of the English teams - hence my derision towards them. Our Scotland team is poor, due to the huge wages paid to foreign players in the Premier Leagues - hence our home grown players not getting their chances to shine. Having watched the "foreign stars" on Wednesday night at our Stadium, I conclude that our home grown talent is not far behind those over-paid big-headed "stars" but, as a "unknowing" female OAP, (despite watching footie since age 5 or so) who am I to make a comment. I wait in hope for the day (which wont come, I suppose,) when a cap will be made on the number of foreign players allowed per team - oh dear - human rights, equal rights, etc! Come on, IHE, support me in this, please. (OK, ICT has its own share of Irish/English etc, but not to the same extent - posters can slate me as much as they want but ICT has more Scots than "outsiders")(and I value the Irish especially highly )(for more reasons than one!). Please dont shout me down, everyone, I believe many of you support the same views.
  19. aah, shame! Oh well, back to supporting ICT (as we should!).
  20. And, if not a Rangers fan, you can always watch Liverpool on Channel Five.
  21. I think that the "sin bin" used in rugby is a good idea. Instead of just being shown a yellow card, ten minutes in the sin bin for a player to think about why he has been sent there. Then back on the field and, if a second offence, a red card and offski. Also, in rugby, the referee's word seems to be law, much less arguing back than in football - maybe they question a decision but then they get on with it. Wouldn't that be great in football!? No chance, really. Visualise Diouf or Scott Brown being sent to the sin bin and staying there - oh yeah!!!! Maybe not!
  22. The supporters on Saturday, me included, were naming Eric - Eric "Waste of Space" Odhiambo. Just what does Terry see in him? He must work hard in training, or something. Every time his name is in the team lines, groans all round. Please Terry, put him on the bench and he can do some good coming on for the last ten minutes (maybe).
  23. You poor soul! Maybe you should have gone to the Social Club and joined in at the Supporters Club Race Night. Good time, great buffet and no getting wet! And no huffy Stewards there either!

    Ken Dodd

I was coerced into taking an elderly gentleman to Eden Court to the Ken Dodd show (cannot remember when)(it was elderly gent who wanted to see Ken Dodd) and have never regretted it. Great night. Show didnt end til well after midnight, talk about getting your moneys worth!. My face was sore with laughing after first half hour - was really sore by the end. So many jokes we couldn't remember them but none of them rude - you could take your granny to see him and she wouldnt have been unhappy. No crude jokes, no swearing, just pure fun and laughter, just joke after joke, after joke, all funny. What a showman. There wont be another like him. Anyone who hasnt seen him live - well you have missed a true legend.
  25. Agree with you. Alex Macdonald looked good. Maybe a shame that Aaron Doran got his chance first but, then Macdonald can shine in the later stages of the league. He will get his chance, soon, after yesterdays few minutes. At least he was better for that few minutes than Eric was for over an hour. Just what does Mr Butcher see in Eric - we don't see it, but that's why we are not the Manager and he is.
