OK, who will be wearing the green jacket on Sunday night. What a fantastic setting this course is, perfectly manicured.

Oh dear, thanks for the warning BigD.
  4. Was at the County game and it was pretty grim until after Queens went ahead, then it was one way traffic to the Queens goal with County throwing everything at them. Barrowman missed more in this game than Sanchez has in a whole season. Deserved equlaiser and almost snatched the win but for some desperate defending and great goalkeeping. Sean O'Conner can be a handful, but he lacks match sharpness.
  5. Please only post if you have any news on the match situation. A lot of people are dependant on threads like these to find out if there are any doubts, so please don't post about something you don't know about. cheers
  6. Ooooeerrrr This is a body blow. I'll need to have a wee think about this one as well.................problems problems, all the time problems.
  7. I have to admit that Eric has grown on me in the last few games. The thing is, it is really a horses for courses situation. As you rightly pointed out, both have their merits, and both have their downfalls. I was not for Eric playing at Dingwall, as the game on the tight pitch at Dingwall was more centred around a midfield battle, which Russell Duncan won. Eric, as we know, can't tackle a fish supper. Give him a bit of space though and he is a different beast altogether. He has also scored a couple of goals of late, his last one undoubtedly due to his speed and reactions. Dani on the other hand has struggled to score given the clear cut opportunities he has created or been offered. Some of that is down to just bad luck, some down to reaction time. He has a good touch in confined space, but is less likely to show the defenders a clean pair of heels. To be honest, we should not be pitting one against the other, but maybe to be more specific when we have to draft someone else in, like Ross, or Stratford, or Lionel. Now the first two played recently and I thought the game passed them bye. Not their fault they were asked to play but nevertheless they were like boys in amongst the men. Thats when the Odi/Sanchez line comes in. We need both of these guys, but not always at the same time. Great to have the option to swap one for the other as well. Will I vote, well I might but there is only a right or wrong option and no middle line. Maybe Eric for just now to start, but it depends who where and when. Maybe Sanchez, but it also depends on the same parameters. It's a tough one Chibberooney.............................I'm off to think about it.
  8. In reply to the o/p, I think it's a different kind of pressure. I enjoyed the chase, clawing Dundee back week by week, point by point. Now though, all the focus is on us, so maybe the pressure, or expectation is greater. Expectation brings with it more pressure from all directions.
  9. Personally I think he is barking mad.

    Sanchez

It does when its from 6 yards, twice If you say so, I'll stick with Butcher as manager meantime. Like it Mr Knowlege.
  11. 1 - Esson 2 - Proctor 3 - Tokely 4 - Munro (capt) 5 - Golabeck 6 - Cox 7 - Odhiambo 8 - Stratford this week, Duncan when not banned 9 - Foran 10 - Rooney 11 - Hayes Think that was the starting numbers, Proc & Golly full backs, Tokely & Munro central defence, Cox & Stratford mid defensive, Hayes, Eric, Foran mid offensive, Rooney up front.

    Sanchez

Having watched the Airdrie video again he was unlucky not to score a hat-trick and had one bad miss with the header. The opening post suggest he is absolutely hopeless and missed twice against Raith. He was only on the park for a a few minutes and his shots were charged down by desperate defending, not missed. I was not at the Airdrie away 0-1 game if thats the one you referred to, but hitting the woodwork three times smacks of misfortune not being totally gash. We have seen Rooney miss some sitters too, but is he beyond reproach? Don't get me wrong, I would rather he scored than hit the wood, but he does get into scoring situations and has good control in confined space. As renegade and others have said, different players.

    Sanchez

Being not alone does not mean that your opinion is more valid. Don't shout, just put your point across in a constructive manner without the abuse. What do you find not good about him?
  14. tm4tj

    Sanchez

The thing is, he is getting criticised for his miss, but little Jonny took ages to set it onto his favoured foot but still escapes criticism, and missed the same as Dani boy.

I also get a warm feeling when gaping at the league table.................................. ................wait a minute though, I also got a warm feeling when Foran scored the winner on Saturday.
  16. To keep all technical comments off of the original thread regarding the videoing of ICT matches, can you post your match comments that you have seen from the video in here please.
  17. It's a good point gordie, I think we should start Match Highlights threads for each game video'd or this thread will be miles long. I will put it to the other mods to see what is for the best. Highlights are great by the way. You can now check it against the match reports and see how accurate the reports are. Best thing on here since fruitbat or feb8th red cross topic.
  18. That meant that no, it's impossible to get lost between the station and the stadium...........or change yer name. Songs..............The Laughing Policeman. Heres the chorus for you :004:
  19. Would that be an spl defence like Celtic...............surely not, that would never happen, would it?
  20. Odi maybe fractionally offside as well, although the other defender is leaning the wrong way making difficult to tell. Benefits to the attacking team I say. But definitely not the 5 yards that some make it out to be, thats cos he is quick off the mark.
  21. Mrs Lovett made nice pies.
  22. Oh dear, our own bubble needed to be re-inflated yesterday after we wobbled to victory. Great win for County though after their derby drubbing and Dundee at last win a game. Queens, Pars and Partick seem to be out of it, so it's Us, Dee and County left. All those with squeaky bums sign below please.

    Throw ins

I see we are persisting with Golly taking every throw in on the left side, much to the annoyance of Foran and one or two others. It was from another hopeless throw in that we conceded the foul which let Raith back in the game when we should have been cruising. There is a problem area with these throw ins, as we seem incapable of winning the ball from them, surely something to work on at the training ground. Why make it more difficult for ourselves than it already is and it justs unsettles the fans, well this one anyway.
  24. What worries me a tad is his persistence on putting the wrong player in the wrong place at the wrong time. It hindered our chances of staying in the SPL and if he continues tinkering with the wrong guys then the promotion will be just as difficult to achieve. Otherwise he has done a fantastic job.
  25. It's Helen the sweety steward.
