  1. Now that the boys have all returned safely home with their and the Club's compensation money from the Grocer should there not be a party?
  2. Shows that sitting on the sidelines and moaning is far less dangerous than being a professional footballer. I recall the time Big Marv laid Richard out in an international and then Richard took a while to return. Hopefully he'll be back next week.
  3. To those who say this was a weakened Dundee United side, Wilkie played centre forward at the Caledonian Stadium in a weakened side and they humiliated us. This was an ICT side refreshed and much fitter with a sense of direction. The Dundee side was little changed in many respects. We have improved, they have started on excuses following Levein's run of good fortune after Brewster cleared out all the years of dead wood and created a youthful foundation with a few experienced guys coming in. With speculation on the Scotland job likely to affect Hibs and United we can but hope they both lose concentration.
  4. Psychologically today's result was massive for Brew. Back home, up against Dods, Donald away, and a great result. Black should now realise that if he waits and develops he will probably go far. Did sound from the radio that Thommo was also on his way back. That's laughing boy, not big ears.
  5. Agent Hislop the scorer at County!!
  6. I think we may have a spelling problem here ARAB4EVER. You have to realise that ICT only plant their managers with DUD clubs, pick up a few hundred grand compensation and after they have completed their task to take these clubs lower we rehabilitate them and refine them. Brew is a refined character now. He refined Blackie,....
  7. Doc - Donald what is it about this club? We build a management team, sell it on, then take bits back. Before you know it we'll have Robbo, Pele, Thomo and Shearer all on the payroll again. Donald - Yep, Robbo could be Tommy's pitch roller, Pele could be Black's minder, Thomo would certainly bring a big smile back to the club - his own - and Shearer? Doc I'm off.... Doc - Donald, did Charlie not use the excuse that he wanted to go home to his family? Donald - yep, and do you know Doc, no matter how hard we work for Inverness and the fans, home is the place to be. Chairmen and volunteers put masses into the club and our fans expect free entry, wins against every team, every week, and to cap it off when we struggle our 'fans' boo the young boys. For years they booed oposition dodgy keepers and just a few minutes into his debut, they booed Malki. When he was unsighted and let in a goal they tried even harder to undermine him and the team. Taxi driving around Edinburgh has to be more fun.
  8. The Lee Bullen theory has appeal. Brew discovers St Mirren plan to sign him so offers him Donalds job. Lee says 'I could n't do that' but......
  9. Donald is a massive loss. He looked fine on Saturday and it is a surprise he motored up tooday to say good bye unless he was offered the St Johnstone No 2 post at the weekend. Brown and Park? I hope he re-emerges at St Johnstone or perhaps Dunfermline maybe even with Robbo to quell the latest batch of conspiracy rumours surrounding ICT.
  10. Fraser had a clean sheet!! The wind was like playing in a gale - has no one else experienced it? Three points were vital and we got them. We need to scrape a few draws now against the big guns.
  11. Brewster would not last much longer if we lost. This is a critical must not lose game. That aside, there will be hunger to win after the Motherwell disaster and we do generally have a good record against St Mirren. The cold weather will rattle them.
  12. He'd be thrown out of the singing section within minutes.
  13. Parkinson upset as filming ends Michael Parkinson fought back tears as he interviewed the final guests on his long-running TV chat show. Beckham told of his disappointment at England's football defeat against Croatia and received a huge cheer from the mainly Scottish audience.
  14. Ross County run like a traditional family business.
  15. FA chairman Geoff Thompson said: "Like every England fan, we are all bitterly disappointed that we have failed to qualify for Euro 2008, and I know Steve feels that disappointment more than anyone. "Of course we have no divine right to play in major tournaments, but it is quite right that qualification is expected. I am really disappointed that Croatia made a fight of it last night and even more disappointed that Andorra once again put up a poor show. Pub teams should not be allowed to play in this tournament.?
  16. You must be hoarse after that. That's two of us who believe. Now we need 3250 more. You've worked on the psychology with him and our loyal supporters, advised Donald to build up his fitness, bribed Brewster to keep Bayne on in the second half against Motherwell to get Marius back in the team so now over to Wally. Our hopes lie with Wally. For people outside St Mirren, Wally is their goalie. Wally is the guy who would regularly have picked the ball out of the net 5 times in the days of old. Marius you have 90 minutes to beat Wally. You can do it. Imagine the headlines 'Marius breaks duck by beating Wally three times'.
  17. The guy is actually quite a sensitive guy. We must get right behind him this Saturday. As suggested elsewhere the time has come. He's been out of the team but Saturday is his stage and it is time the team learned to play without Brewster and Rossco. If we can inspire a breakthrough it will lift the team so no negativity Saturday please.
  18. What bigger stage? Both Denzil and Dargs waited for weeks before they scored their first league goals for ICT. Now with Bayne and Brewster on the sidelines a sober ICT now have the chance to witness Marius's first of many strikes. It would be even better if Dargs could be there to witness it but I am not sure if he has recovered from his latest injury set back. In days gone by we used to use St Mirren for guaranteed points. Time to forget Motherwell and support the guys to the hilt.
  19. There is a stark choice for people in Inverness and the Highlands. You either support SPL football in all its forms or you travel to Aberdeen or Glasgow. Possibly also a significant amount of money if not always a waste. A few years back that was the choice but in recent years it has been a privilege to have SPL football right on our door step. Nobody enjoyed last weekend and from an accounting point of view you may well deem it a waste of money. Now get back to supporting the SPL in Inverness and the Highlands and support this team during its difficulties. The amount of money supporters put into this facility is quite modest when you look at where the money comes from and it is far cheaper to watch it here every other week than travel to Glasgow or Aberdeen. Not so long ago Aberdeen were regular visitors to the basement. This is the first year since our entrance that Dundee United are above us and doing well but that is aided by two top class Internationalists who also happen to be ex ICT players and where our current Manager was sacrificed after clearing out years of dead wood. Now get back and support the team.
  20. One thing I will say in defence of Rossco is that he is a winner and generally tries to motivate the team to go forward and get positive results. There can be no defence of what he did on Saturday although his nibbles at attackers this year has been evident to the management at the club. They are not blind and in terms of culpability have an element of contribution. We need drivers to get out of the predicment we are in but we must do it fairly. Rossco should go away as he did after the Ayr game and as Blackie has done and rethink their fitness and discipline. The club needs an honest, fair and committed Rossco.
  21. Complacency is our biggest enemy. We need to graft for points. Craig hopefully will start admitting mistakes fairly soon to raise morale. He should take some of the blame for Bayne's sending off because from where I sat the referee was adamant Bayne was fouling left right and centre. Bayne should have been taken off at half time. Rossco should have been taken off or hammered for regularly niggling McGarry although McGarry acted brilliantly on a number of occasions. Rossco was the first to attack after Well scored. These guys need better man management as well as better self discipline. Relegation is a real possibility and our friends over the Bridge must be anticipating easy derbies again unless something happens to pull things together. The Brewster bounce is in danger of becoming the Dundee United Mark II disaster but even worse.
  22. Cameron Hopper went to Perth Australia.
  23. In nearly 11 years of existence we have had only 5 different people Manage the Club. The first two were called Steve, the next was a John and the last two were the Proclaimers. Our current Assistant Manager shares his surname with an Orkney malt whisky. We build South stands faster than any other Club on this planet. We cannot beat Partick in the Scottish Cup but they cannot beat us in the Court of Session. Our ground is just a few feet from the sea yet Tommy has a special remedy to keep seagulls away resulting in recognition as a top Groundsman. We have achieved more with significant numbers of Ross County players than they have.
  24. Against Aberdeen, Rankin did himself no credit - he was barged off the ball like an inexperienced school boy out of his depth.
  25. It is easy to criticise players from the stands. Rossco has made some biggish errors this season but epitomises the spirit of a Roy Aitken. Last night he was really up for it and I thought played very well. If we analyse players who made mistakes last night some stand out in journalists reports. But when Denis missed chances to bury the ball, or Russell failed to beat Langfield were these errors? Marius had a golden opportunity to head a simple goal but it was cleared off the line. Was this a mistake? When Cowie failed to pick out a player in the box was this a disaster that lost us the game? Technically I think the answer to these questions is yes. However, if you are an attacker you are not slated for your errors. Granty probably got Michael dropped by his punt from the byline although Mikey might in future let such a bad backpass just go for a corner. This time last year Clangers was making the same mistakes as a keeper. 10 pints later, a blazing argument with his Manager, weeks on the bench he is a bettter player. I actually thought Grant had a good game last night. He is nevertheless struggling with the responsibility of being the captain. Rossco might struggle likewise. On last night's performance Russell would make a good choice if Craig decides to freshen things up. Again from last night, did Brewster make a tactical error by not bringing on Marius for Barry much earlier. It might have resulted in a quicker breakthrough and prevented us being strateched at the back for the fourth. All this aside, it is damage limitation at Ibrox this Saturday and before we get carried away with our 4-0 win against Gretna, we need Rossco for the relegation fight. Falkirk are likely to beat Gretna this Saturday and we will bob just in front of Gretna with some difficult games to come - all!
