  1. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3618574/From-Real-Madrid-Inverness-Caledonian-Thistle-Wales-boss-Chris-Coleman-s-chosen-Euro-2016.html Some very good publicity for the club linking Gareth Bale and us!!! ''From Real Madrid to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, these are Wales boss Chris Coleman's chosen few for Euro 2016''
  2. Malpas - Looks like a wind up. Doubt if Richie or any of the players have any respect for him.
  3. Probably not going to Euro 2016 so his career is going down the way..............we can normally help these type of players...........
  4. Quite a turnaround for Iain. Without a club, turning out in the Highland League an option, training at DW Sports under the noses of ICT players, crisis at ICT, come back Iain all is forgiven. I think he had a nervy start but latterly has played some outstanding football. With Danny Williams away, his left foot is a key part of our team building. Well done to club and Iain.

It seems very fair from the outside looking in. However, sometimes you have to step back to go forward, and this may slightly underestimate what Hughes and Latapy achieved. We might never have reached last year's heights had these two not been appointed. We will never know. For a club of our size and with the injuries we have endured this year but possibly through poor dealings in the transfer market we were never going to reach the same peak. The irritation with Yogi is his apparent disloyal exit strategy at a club that has a history of being very loyal to its managers and I believe its players. Yogi probably burnt himself out and after taking real umbrage at not going for the Dundee United job, where he clearly would have had far more contact with his twins and wider family, he committed to ICT but could not then contain his frustrations. It also appears that Yogi parachuted in Brian Rice who had some serious issues in his last job. So Yogi is loyal but clearly something behind the scenes that we may not have seen, triggered this fracture.
  6. Thanks Mr Chairman...are you sure it is safe to insert the microphone there!! He found it funny during the Maurice Johnstone interview
  7. Paddy Field and Rice the perfect combination to train Doran to Pilaf Bas Matty our new striker in the Jam Bowl.
  8. One of the new Manager's first tasks is to sort out this kind of thinking ' Brendan Rodgers insists he has no problem going from the highlife of the Premier League to facing Inverness on a Tuesday night.. Last season he would have said '...going to face Ross County on a Tuesday night.' How low have we sunk?
  9. Season ticket now renewed!!

Brilliant news and we can start renewing our season tickets with optimism. Next season will be tough like any season in the SPFL. David is a very talented player. We need talented players. Let's hope that by Friday we have lots of good news coming from the club.
  11. Brilliant news. A few more bits like this and we can start re-buying our season tickets with more confidence. Owain is a really decent guy and good goal keeper which is bad news for Deano. Unless Ryan becomes Richie's assistant then Deano will be moving on. He might be an outstanding signing for a team like Dundee United or even Hamilton. Last year before his injury he was one of the best keepers in the SPFL.
  12. Foran and Esson as Assistant might facilitate the retention of Deano. Both Richie and Ryan are very fit people with significant drive.

Disaster, The trigger point appears to have been the denial given to Yogi to speak to Dundee United. From that point on it appears he took the huff and despite a 2.5 year contract it appears he could not settle down. Let's hope this is a trigger point at the right time in the 'season' but it is a major challenge for this club.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-36248594 The need for accuracy.
  16. Congratulations to the players and Yogi but at the earliest opportunity can we have news of who has been released. On the face of it we are talking about significant numbers.
  17. Will will retain our unbeaten and clean sheet record in Europe next year. Not many teams can say that.
  18. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-36080667 ...............Scotty any theories?
  19. If you go to the Dundee United fora you will see that their fans were appalled by Gunning's behaviour. Those who know his lifestyle feel he is totally unprofessional both off and as was shown yesterday, on the field. Some felt the referee showed pity!!!
  20. Let's be positive. Within the UK we have a modest budget, a hard core of supporters, and despite all the set backs this year, we have nearly survived in the top league in Scotland once again. We reached the Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup. We actually have some very talented players at our disposal and this year have at times played some great football. After the highs of last season that is not a bad season providing we avoid the play offs and do not fall into the Butcher trap - exercised here and in Hibernian - we are nearly there. Realistically we do not know why we do not have more players signed up for next year. Balancing the budgets must be an issue especially after paying out for a range of operations, treatments and rehabilitation for players this year. That was a cost we would not have budgetted for at the start of the season. Going forward, next year will be an almighty challenge. We have done very well against top six sides this year and may not be so lucky next year if Rangers and Hibernian both come up. Dundee United has been a source of points in the last two seasons - 10 last year - with Killie and Hamilton difficult opponents and sometimes underestimated. These are the challenges our Board and management have certainly had to contend with amongst other key issues.
  21. Jonny Hayes played 29 minutes for Ireland yesterday.
  22. It's party time!!!! Tonight's going to be a good time...put on those drapes, head to the big city and celebrate our storey.
  23. This is a must not lose game! To me one of our best performances was the league win away to Motherwell when we had a really weakened side. Greg captained the side that day and every player played out of their socks (including Lopez as a sub). I presume Greg is captain again before his suspension so hope he can inspire an attacking strategy for our defence.
  24. Hibs have beaten a whole stack of SPFL teams this year in cups so Yogi and the team need to be cautious and show them tremendous respect. It is therefore now the biggest match of our season and needs enormous energy to win it.
  25. The words quoted and tone were very audible. I do not know who uttered them but they were clearly directed at the Astra Manager and team who had been treated as the City of Inverness's guests. If you heard them you would have cringed. There was no defence. Nor is there any defence for people who lob or set off flares. What is the point? In terms of fairness, we live in an unfair world. When Celtic come to play us, most of their fans stand up throughout the game but I do not recall 100s being arrested afterwards. Our club tries to set high standards and on the assumption that the real perpetrator has been caught and punished that seems fair to me.
