  1. Is that no whit eh said Charles?,........ "feckin freezin and a draw, went to penalties with Jim Duffy scoring the winner" Duffy came over and apologised personally to us for the way they had performed! It was aye referrred to as the Comet end from when eh mind it CD,but i only go back about 20 years so i'll bow to yer superior historical knowledge
  2. Was it really 15 years ago the last time we met in this competition then called the B+Q cup Mind it was played at Telford street, night gemme , feckin freezin and a draw, went to penalties with Jim Duffy scoring the winner at the Comet end of the ground, anyone else on here at the game?
  3. Bt vision is improving all the time and is now pretty good all round. It's no Sky but then ya dinnae pay sky prices. Some good inclusive packages and record features/view anytime/pay to views etc.Probably the best solution in your position M :-)
  4. Including highlights from ICT v Coonty on 2nd Jan alba to show SFL games live
  5. Sorry to hear it's come to this Scotty, but i can understand exactly where your coming from.As an "outsider" but never having hidden my affection for ICT (as long as your no playing us) I have been along time user and contributer to the site in this and its previous guises and in all the years have been pleasantly surprised that not ONCE in that time have i been a victim to any abuse or negativity from any user for my user name or obvious support of an opposition team,(other than usual stick and banter i would expect and sometimes ask for)something which would be hard to do on most other team forums, where discussions or banter soon degenerate into vicious verbal slagging if you aren't from the home camp and i feel this says a lot about the humour and tolerance of the majority of site users The official Dee forum gets round some of the problems by all posts having to be moderated before going on line, which must be massively tedious for moderators, but also IMO, makes the forum kinda sterile and lacking in"personalities" I feel a lot of the current negativity is due to this being the first real downturn in ICT's fortunes and many younger fans have not had to endure "failure" before (they should take a wee shot of my shoes for the past 40 odd years to sample real suffering!!) Also society in general has become much ruder and less tolerant of others viewpoints and opinions. I have had some great laughs on this website and made many mates, been introduced to new music, given technical help, played golf, been out on the pish, even been to a wedding! So please bear in mind the positives and pleasure the site gives to many when making your decisions.Hopefully those causing some of the problems can take a look at themselves, realise the time and effort that goes into giving them a plattform and be more respectful of fellow posters
  6. Pssssst George, just slide 2 fingers up the side of your face, i'll do the same and they'll soon get the message.

  9. Reckon Craig Levein should be the man for the job,I grudgeingly accept he has done well with limited resources in his current position and reckon he's one of the few up and coming managers Scotland could afford and could possibly turn things round in the longer term, if given the time.
  10. Completely lost intrest due to their self interested shennanigans and manipulations! From now on i'm only gonna watch documentaries and nature programs. Any one know when "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" starts?
  11. Dinnae think anyone at Dens wiz naive enough to think it was a walkover, but still think, come 1st of May we'll be there.I had yesterday doon as a draw on my predictor, wasn't down due to a prior arrangement for a 10 hour marathon in Reilly's,but didnae miss much by all accounts, poor performance and few chances created....must do better.Anyway, week aff the serious stuff and a wee bit fun next Sunday, see ya on the A9 and watch ya's greeting on the way back :dancing03:
  12. Agree wi Alex on this one, never understood why folk would want to give money to an establishment that doesn't want their custom or queue up outside for the pleasure of being abused and hassled by "the management" we were turned away from 27 as there were 6 of us and they "don't allow large groups of men" we were all 40/50 somethings and couldn't have been less intimidating but there loss as i now don't go for meals with the missus or drop in for a pint after work.If they dont want yer dosh ,feck em

  17. I'll have a wee word wi Chris and see if we can organise a CTO X factor karaoke night, probly into Feb to let folk get a few bob back together again after the impending spending spree, mebbes charge a few quid and raise some dosh for a worthwhile local cause.I can see Maime as Sharon Osbourne and CaleyD doing the boo hiss Simon Cowell role, mebbe's have Charles B as Loius Walsh and Mrs Paulibee to add a bit of Glamour .............but we're gonna need some volunteers for singin ;)
  18. Well done Rig and good luck in yer new joab.
  19. Any one got any idea how ICT ticket sales are going, looking like our bit should be sold out, tickets selling well fair looking forward to it now, hopefully ICT sell out as well to make it a full hoose....see y'all in Perth
  20. Aye Rig, words of one symbian please
  21. Do i think Dundee will win the league this year? I'm very optomistic, and for the first time since coming down! (although i always hoped we would,i was concerned about the sustainability if we went back up too soon)for several of the reasons stated above, mainly strength in depth of the pool, also Griffiths being different class and a huge asset in this league, but with Pat Clark,Higgins and Mcmenamin also avialable we have replacements to step in as will be required on Saturday V QOTS as Griffs away on under 21's duty.Gary Harkins is a quality signing and Klimpl has been a massive boost to shoreing up our dodgy defensive start to the season and his arrival has seen the form of Gary Mackenzie soar as confidence returns. i'm also reliably informed your own Pavels Mahujdinks is coming in January, also possibly the return of Milan Panelik.Competition for most places is fierce with Ritchie Hart showing up well last night apparently,so i'm more optomistic than in previous seasons that this one will end well Callum Mellville has proved to be the shrewdest signing of the board, after getting a slating for spending 8 grand on an advertising campaign in the broadsheets,it has turned out to be money well spent. His "approach" for Scott Robertson was never more than a wind up and merely an off the record conversation with a journo, but as Jocky commented "Nice to know there's ?500.000 available if required! " I reckon Partick will be main rivals, but as we all know, any team in this league can seriously dent any teams hopes. If we can get a wee run going and get our noses in front we'll be very difficult to catch.(Hope it disnae go to the last day of the season game at TCS!)
  22. OOPS! reminds me, eh still have yer old Sony in the boot of meh car Came ower to drop it off and you were away yer travels then forgot ah aboot it sorry
  23. :D aye very good Charles. I was gonna enter next year but guess now I'll just need to stick to the odd Karaoke in the Fluke,my hopes of celebrityism dashed forever :D I used to got to the Fluke for a pint.... see, theirs the problem, some folk just dinnae ken talent when they get the opperchancity to see and hear it for free :D Oz, think it's still fairly regular on a Friday, but with meh hopes firmly dashed i'm in semi retirement now :D
  24. :D aye very good Charles. I would still maintain X factor isn't in the same vane as Jeremy Kyle which truly is barrel scraping bottom of the gene pool stuff or Big brother which caters to folks voyeurism rather than just enjoying a glimpse of talent blossoming. ( Talking of Big Brother, i once had a service call to a customer who had sat watching BB live broad cast through the night and had been watching someones foot hanging out of the bed for 2 hours before realising the satelitte reciever had frozen!!! unbelievable but true ) Even in New Faeces their were self centered Ego's with Nina Myschov being the boo hiss nasty character who's opinion ultimately counted the most, the introduction of "public voting" has pandered to the more gullible making them believe they actually have some say in what happens, rather than lining the pockets of programme makers with premium rate calls, but as this weeks X factor events cleary show, things will be manipulated to whatever creates hype and controversy for the show,a shame for the real talents like Lucie who had a glimmer of hope but being shoved to one side by corporate greed and commercialism. I was gonna enter next year but guess now I'll just need to stick to the odd Karaoke in the Fluke,my hopes of celebrityism dashed forever :D
  25. I don't see how you can compare X factor to Jeremy Kyle or Big Brother. It is the modern equivelant of Opportunity Knocks or New Faces which were light entertainment and giving unknowns, with a modicum of talent, the chance to step into the limelight and make the big time. The problem in X factor is the judges have now become the show and it has become telly trash of the lowest calibre which is a shame, as some of the talent on show can be very good, but the judges self interest and politicing have spoilt the show from what it was. The voters............now thats a different matter
