Eh'd say folk are quite right to be irritated by this,the man currently picks up his wages from ICT and as such should take any oppertunity to promote the club.I could understand former England captain, but former Rangers with no mention of current position smacks off being a tad embarresed of his current profile.Talking of the profile of the game up here,was oot for a meal in a local establishment last night and the barman was telling me after the Blackburn game on Sunday they switched channels to Alba for the cup final and an English guest complained asking why they had switched over to the French football

It's a long way to go for a meaningless fixture. Our next 6 league games could almost be described as the most important fixtures in ICT's recent history. I just hope that thought is uppermost in TB's mind. I'm not even sure that we should be going into this game wth our strongest possible team. What if one or more of our key players was to pick up a serious injury? There's a lot of raw meat in that Dundee team. I'd hate to think we might be deprived of one of our skillfull silky ball players (Tokely for instance) for these up and coming league games. Something Heilandee said earlier in this thread about a day out on the lash with your mates, did briefly make me think about going - I might have gone if it had been a golf outing at St Andrews or Carnoustie instead of a meaningless game that's live on the telly anyway.... Naah.... Enjoy your day out guys and gals.... I might allow myself a wee celebratory drink on the Sunday night if we do win it - just so long as no one's got injured. How about some of the guy's who don't like being moderated so closely picking up the "Football mad" site again? ICT used to have one but it was very underused,due in the main i feel to the sucess of CTO. Maybe if one or two were prepared to take the time it would give an alternative platform to here which has a "semi official" site feel to it and they can be their own judges of whats acceptable. footy mad

Naw, JB, it's a thread on PREVIOUS meetings in the mickey mouse cup,and yes,we know ya don't rate this final and yes we all know it's not important but it's a bit of fun (something lacking in football these days) and a day on the lash with your mates.give it a go, ya might just enjoy it PS in the league ALL fixtures really matter,hence the pleasure in ahaving a wee game that doesn't really matter but would be fun to win Caley Stan , i couldn't mind the scorers in normal time,intersesting it was Danny,Morton Weighorst scored our reply,and while i admire yer optimism,..........3 goal margin!!
