  1. Is that old fountain in the council yard with the rose window or did it go to Orkney with the Faith Hope and Charity?
  2. In the days before the Glen Bar, and I thought it was an old building.

    THE DANCING

You are getting good at the cars Charles, the one behind the Police car is a Volvo 122 and I think the white one is an Austin Cambridge. The Tryst was re-named the Hebridean and was frequented by the "Teuchters" after the Carlton in Ingles Street closed, I wonder where they go now
  6. And that's another photo of Willie Deans, second from the right.
  7. Good photos IHE, it would have been a beautiful house in its day, I assume that the name Mackintosh Road came from the owners name. The bunker which is used as an emergency command center by the Highland Council which is on Mackintosh Road first left at the top of King Duncans Road. There was another one (must have been a secret one as IHE didn't know about it) on the right up King Duncans Road was filled in about 1993 and had flats built on the site by Macrae Builders.
  8. Here it is, not easy to get a good photo when it is so busy.
  9. That's what you call a train, the location of the old turntable is marked in the Morrisons car park with cobble stones. If CB didn't know that he will be down looking tomorrow
  10. Back end of Austin A35 outside Macdougall Hotel, Vauxhall Vellox.......................................Ford Zepher.............................................Ford Consul & Morris 8 CST777 registered in 1948. The old building to the right of the old Free Church has been demolished for years but the remaining buildings on that part of Church St have survived although I think the Macdougall Hotel was much larger then.
  11. Laggan Dam in full flow into the River Spean. Here is a close up.
  12. Willie Deans front right and Brucie front centre.
  13. That would be a rare thing us signing a player on that but it would be a good option!
  14. I think I will just wait till the end of the season and see where we end up
  15. 99% certain it's an Austin Mini Charles.
  16. CST 146 is a Ford Popular registered in 1947, on the right is a Morris 8 with a Sunbeam Talbot tourer in front (I think), the one in front of the Ford Pop is a Hillman Minx and the one behind the women looks kike a mini which would date the photo 1959 or later. Good photo of the back of the old Caley Hotel.

    THE DANCING

CB's favourite singers on their first visit to Inverness
  18. Scarlet, it was out Millburn Road opposite the old Mart, was a very busy pub on mart sale days! The building is still there and the Domestic Discount Stores is now Lochgorm Carpet & Furniture store and was originally a bonded warehouse (I think)
