  1. Hearing that Graham Bayne has signed a 7 week contract with Wick Academy. I had heard some rumours last week that Barry Wilson was signing an ex SPL striker who was prolific as cover for their main striker who is off on honeymoon for 6 weeks, but only got the name today.
  2. I thought it would take longer than that to get it. Up to that season (1999/2000) Scottish Cup rules only allowed 3 subs to be named, so Ebbe Skovdahl named 3 outfield players, how often would a goalie be subbed, and Ryan Esson was left out. Two minutes in and Rod Wallace's knee and Jim Leighton's face make contact, resulting in a broken cheek for Leighton. No sub keeper so Robbie Winters, shortest guy in the team, takes Ryan's shirt and in he goes.
  3. Was going to keep this for May but what the hey. Which current player's jersey has appeared in a Scottish cup final, but not him ?
  4. Our Terry was mentioned on one of the Charlie Nicholas Sly Sports segments. Under Chelsea Manager shock news, manager not sacked yet, Inverness have issued a hands off Butcher message. Not much I know, but touted for the Chelsea job eh
  5. According to the BBC site, Gary Warren has as many goals this season as Tade .
  6. Maybe as CaleyD says, they had heard some "whisperings" that there was likely to be something going on, or maybe they were just asking random questions. It was a standard security question, I paid it no mind at the time, and never would have again if it was not for the criminal events that took place. The inference can be taken from your posts that you condone and encourage such acts, do you ? Now we are getting full bag searches along with close monitoring and videoing. Possibly overkill, but if events give the authorities the excuses, they will take them, if not more.
  7. Many law abiding fans who had nothing to do with it, were harmed by being inconvenienced by extra security measures and closer monitoring of sections of the crowd. Whoever threw it has harmed the good reputation of ICT fans. I remember being asked outside the gates at GES specifically if we had flares, I bet whoever threw it also feeling smug if they were asked the same as they didn't lie as it wasn't a flare. To those so indignant about the extra measures don't get angry at the police/stewards, get angry at the one(s) who were responsible for the "smoke bomb"
  8. I would expect it to be available on the BBC website, well to those who have access to a UK IP Address UK IP address is not a problem, but dont think the beeb stream regional telly online I know the BBC watchlive page is for for BBC One London only, but stuff like this is often on the BBC sport website as a stream of itself for UK wide access. Just had a look and it does only have the audio commentary link at the moment though so could be out of luck.
  9. I would expect it to be available on the BBC website, well to those who have access to a UK IP Address
  10. Thought I would have a look and searched to be sure I had the right address, look what I found
  11. I was expecting that as Richard Gordon on OAM was just after saying that it would be a 4th win in a row for ICT
  12. A couple of match reports but no pictures. http://www.kilsythchronicle.co.uk/sport/clyde-look-good-in-caley-kit-1-353922 http://www.clydefc.c.../2003/04/13/546
  13. Possible that Nick will need an op on his shoulder. BBC Link
  14. Straight red cards affect all competitions i think It depends what the red card was for I believe, and the one that Richie received is deemed to affect all competitions as the SFA website shows that his suspension is for, "2 FIRST TEAM MATCHES IMMEDIATE". They will show as for SPL/SFL/whatever league if the suspension only applies to league games. So going by the SFA site, OTJ is available now and Richie is suspended for the Arbroath match.
  15. Watching on Sky, who was the Celtic supporter doing the analysis on the commentary?, and we did certainly deserve to lose, however some of the referee's decisions were shocking and led directly to 2 of Celtic's goals. First one Wanyama was climbing all over King but the goal stands. Fourth and Izzaguire takes out Nick Ross, but play on and Celtic score. A couple of bookings as well which didn't even look like fouls, Gavin Morrisson especially. And of course we weren't allowed to take a quick free kick so Celtic get a chance to regroup to defend. I'm beginning to sound like a Celtic "fan" saying it was all the ref's fault, but I do agree we weren't playing well, let Celtic play their game and the result was probably right.

The game was part of the deal in Shane Sutherland's move from Academy to ICT, which IIRC was re-arranged from last season as it was previously postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. I am sure that you would be the first to complain if one of the central belt teams had fans talking about wasting money coming up to "teuchter country" or similar. Others are trying to widen the appeal of ICT around the Highlands, see the comments in other threads about how RC go beyond Dingwall, and you come out with this. There are quite a number of ICT fans up here, my Father-in-law and daughter make the near 250 mile round trip every fortnight as season ticket holders, I come along when commitments allow, and this was a nice short trip for us after being down for the Coventry game. I am also trying to sort out a works trip to the Killie game, after persuading the boss that ICT would be a better idea than going to Dingwall, maybe get some more semi regulars, your comments are the sort that might put them off doing that.
  17. I can see where you are coming from, and I think some of that connection is due to the short history of the club. The club has grown in living memory and so what would would be a significant but not extraordinary amount of time with any club of 90 or more years history seems to be much more significant for ICT, can you think of any other senior club where a player has just left after being with the club for nearly 90% of its existence ? Of course it is good for the players to have a feeling for the club and what it means to the fans, but that does not necessarily mean you have to be local to understand that, does anyone here think that Richie Foran doesn't care a jot about ICT ? On the other side of the coin if we had the finances to be able to attract the Messis, the Xabi Alonsos, the Iniestas, the Pirlos or the Balotellis of the world to the TCS would we say we don't want them as they don't understand the club ? I think we have to strike a balance between getting the best players we can where they are available and giving them a reason to want to care about the club, and finding the local gems who are brought up caring about the club anyway. And that can start by getting the youngsters to follow their local club rather than glory hunt the "big teams".
  18. I was just reading that. At least it will show 'The People™' that he does have the Rangers mindset, "if you say or do anything against us it must be bigotry, it can't be because we did wrong can it."

He was playing number 10 and seemed to me to be just behind Oswell with Liam Polworth on one side of the midfield going forward and Kyle Whyte on the other. Polworth seemed to be scrapping for everything and even though he lost the ball a couple of times he would be straight in to try and get it back, which he often did. Warren was vocal at the back and keeping everyone going, and I heard Reguero's English improving, he knows "keeper" and "man-on" at least and was loud with it.

Pretty even so far. Wick had a great shot off the bar, we've had a couple that their keeper has got to, but he hasn't held them so if we can follow up there may be something
  24. Rasczak replied to WYNESS101's topic in Caley Thistle
Antonio Reguero, Martin Laing, Nick Ross, Liam Polworth and Jason Oswell starting as well
