  1. Which was a good decision considering we had to hold on for dear life with 9 men. Dani is an attacking player, we had to go semi-defensive.
  2. Its a bad management call that Foran wasnt hooked. As for Barry, you cant put a price on the job he did for us. He will be back at this eventually doing some job, that ive no doubt about. And cant wait for it.
  3. I hope this is true tbh. I think the fact that sides are still scoring by passes and crosses from the right, Lionel was easily the scape goat for this. Tokely is getting right caught out this season aswell, albeit from the other side. Go on Lionel, give us your best mate and thats all we ask for. He gets up the park better than most, and is a big physical pacey guy. Not downing Golly, but a shake up and change of the defence can only be a good thing for the moment imo.

You should in fact kill three birds since this is also scheduled to be Ross Tokely's 500th game for Caley Thistle. (I now imagine that some grumpy old mann will complain that this thread has been dragged off topic :D :D ) Well done mate, what a way to jinx it.....i blame you!!! :P :(
  5. Aw jeeeez, great news!! Whos going to cover him then? Stratford? Cox?
  6. Definitely dont work a new team around Munro, or Tokely. We need to think bigger than that surely. Have to say, although hes a Caley legend, Tokely hasnt been on his toes and been getting WELL caught out by younger wingers. Anyway, for me, if we dont get promoted, the whole club needs a reshuffle. Board, managers, players, the lot. Get this club even close to how it was once before. This includes positives from the fans. We have came up 3 leagues, and down just 1 in 15 years. Lets get the club back to where we belong, and thats the top flight. The highlands needs it.
  7. what are we, back to 6th again then yeah? then 8 points behind the leaders. Ach, tis our own fault. Mind you, if the pars can go down there and beat Queens, theres no reason we cant.

Ive decided im coming up on the 12th, kill two birds as ill get to the Raith game and get my new gear that i fancy. Intrigued to see what stuff we get in.
  9. Even with 120 of us at Firhill, we made far more noise than 2000+ Partick supporters. We cant even do that at home!
  10. For obvious reasons, give me the Cowdenbeath/Alloa tie, then Cowdenbeath go on to pump Alloa, id be a very happy man. Mind you, the way things are going, i could be seeing ICT alot more in my town next season :D
  11. I was sitting just in front of you then Top Six, could not believe the chant, outstanding mate :P Wee funny story...went to Livingstone shopping first (a deal with the girl), then went to the game, rushed home, played a gig in Kirkcaldy with my band, then shot to through to Dunfermline for a night out. After being at the nightclub me and a mate had the munchies so went to the chippy. I could hear 2 glaswegian women talking, so making drunken small talk i said 'oh i was through at Glasgow today', and one replied 'we are just through here for my mates 30th, why were you at glasgow?'. I said i was an Inverness supporter and was through watching the game at Partick Thistle, to which she shouts OH MY GOD!! and shouts to a guy called Ian at the counter....its only Ian Maxwell!! Haha! Had a good bit banter with him, although i could hardly wind him up eh! His wife said then she loves Inverness, i said good football team but its a cracking place. She said yeah she loved it up there when she stayed for 3 years. I asked what took her up there, and she said it was because Ian was at County...i didnt know this and just shouted 'Aw jesus, it just gets f'n worse!!!' How much of a small world really is this world!!! So, not the best of games, but what a cracking atmosphere for such a small crowd of us!! Will still be there to support the boys, wont get me down!! But something still really needs to click - and put our chances away!!
  12. Still gives me nightmares!! As much as i like it, I hate seeing us in under pressure games, as i have not the slightest bit faith that i used to have in the team in pressure games. 3 or 4 years ago and before, id relish cup games, pressure games and so on, as we would take it in our stride and take it on. Now - especially that last game of last season, the quarter final against Falkirk in the scottish cup aswell, we just arent the bravehearts we used to be ever since Brewster, through to Butcher - which i am not really saying is their fault. If it came down to ICT v Dundee in May to win the league, it embaresses me to say id put money on Dundee.
  13. Just switched this on, gutted as i was wanting to know what they were going to put now for him. I thought the only possible thing to do was be captioned as Inverness manager? If this is down to him, i am very very dissapointed!
  14. the games been recorded at my girlfriends, but is there any highlights online? was at the far end of the stand so i couldnt see what was really happening - all 5 goals were scored the other end.
  15. Very VERY hard to take that one. I have some Dundee supporting mates, ive switched my phone off. Takes a bit to come to terms with something like that, dont need winded up about it. Not that i meant to, but my mind was wandering at half time, thinking if we give another 45 mins like that then ill get to see them lift the cup, so on , so forth. Then disaster struck. I do feel alot of the blame on Butcher though. Sanchez off - our most tactically minded player, who was creating most, off for Cox who added nothing. Then brings on Odi and Imrie in the 90th? I really couldnt belive the time it was when i saw that, truly ridiculous!! Hayes put his all in the first, he wasnt getting the ball or the runs in the 2nd, Imrie could have changed that with his engine!! But even though i dont give us much chance of the league, id happily give them that cup for the 3 points in the league. Onwards and upwards.....
  16. To be fair to him, he was the one that went in for the tackle, who else did? and it was never a sending off, yellow card yes!
  17. TBH it was the little things like this Cup that made me ease to the idea of first division football.....wee cup runs, being the underdogs in the scottish and league cups, but to be at least in the final of this alba, or even better to win it. I cant wait for sunday, have done for a while. Going to have a cracking day of it and get right behind the team. Its good to have a week off from the league and i hope the guys go out there and enjoy it, and hopefully with no one on their backs they play good football and come home on the bus with the silverware.
  18. Staff are always top notch. Had a few dealings with the recently, latest being needing a refund for a double of order of tickets - no ones fault, but the websites. Quick and easy getting the money back! Keep up the good work!!
  19. Perhaps beggars cant be choosers. Ha I wouldnt like to see Dougie go, hes one of our better players on his game. But due to our financial situation, if we were given money that we rate him at or more, i dont see any other way than to take it.
  20. You know what i mean though m4tj, alot of fans, including people on this forum, thought it was going to be a walk in the park. granted, i always knew it was going to be hard but firmly believed, and still believe, we could do it. even i got a bit of a shock just HOW competitive the league is. Then again i wasnt expecting county and the likes to be taking maximum points off us. nae quite Alex, Airdrie were relegated on merit, but got a repreive coz of Livi's situation Pedant DSC What he said. However, i do take the 'diddy' part out of the equation. But i do mean the teams that are struggling in the league. I do think we will get a shock when we play the big teams, QOS away, Dundee at home etc. Worries me we cant get up for our local derby, never mind beating the league leaders.
  21. Not driving, so gonna have to get a lift up or something, want to have a bevvy. ill be there + 2, and i honestly cannot wait!!
  22. We thought we would demolish the first division, look how competitive this turned out to be. we are sitting 4th as we have beaten all the diddy teams recently, your ayr's and airdrie's, once we start playing the big boys will show where we should be...although id obviously like to be wrong.
  23. One things for sure, no manager in their right mind that is in a secure management job - your mcleish's, strachan's, levein's, moye's etc etc are going to come to the scotland job - no one wants it!! However, at this moment in time, id put a bet on Smithy leaving Rangers after January, and hes the man that could do it, again, in my eyes.
  24. isnt it strange how our form is slightly turning round? 2 home wins, 1 away loss. This is definitely make or break. have to say unless we up our game, im slightly worried. sure, we can beat the diddy teams by 4 and 5 goals.....but when it comes to the bigger teams and we dont up our game for them, we are dreadful. whatever happens next week, the week after getting a result against partick would be very welcoming, then its a big one against queens, and take it from there...
  25. 4th mate. must be 2 or 3 goals to the good on goal difference over partick. i think 3 since we got 2 today, and they were 2 the worse, so 3.
