  1. i think dougie starting is a good thing, because bringing on hayes as a sub he runs straight at defenders who are tired. i didnt see ronney today, but i think since odiambho scored, he could deserve his place in front rooney.. if not id go for same 11 again. cant change a team who are getting results!
  2. Considering Sanchez got hooked so early, maybe he is one. but then his assists were what gave us so many goals in 2 games.
  3. Or in our case, Win away, draw at home would be doable. Its not must-win..but considering all the leader QOS, Dundee, Partick, Raith are playing the bottom 4, it looks like we would lose alot of ground on the pack at the top. But if we win, could see us in a nice poisition. Beat County, score more goals than Partick, and hopefully one of the other three draw, could send us up a few places! How nice!! But forget that, make sure WE win!!

I have a few from last season 08/09, one is hanging up....but now youve came to mention it, i havent seen one for this season.
  6. I think you have to remember that, as its such a journey to the central belt from inverness, its quite a different support that go to the ICT home and away. I try and come up as much as i can, but there are times i cant but i do make sure i get to the away games. I try and make an effort for that as i know the away supports can be quite low. So it could be the difference in the people in the crowd about the singing. I know what your saying about the unclapping, and i agree with you, i think it is rude. To not clap good football and shout support and applaud players, you would be aswell not being there. I wouldnt like to think it is because it is "naff" to support ICTFC.
  7. Canna see it myself, but not saying its not possible.
  8. We would be top of the league if we were to play all our games away. 2 points at home just aint good enough. Sort the home form out, keep the away form we have, weve cracked it. I think the next few games are vital...get the wins at home, beat county away, confidence is high for the Alba Cup Final, our season has then started!
  9. Has to go with last weeks formation. if it aint broke........BUT Ill have Hayes in before Rooney, either that or Barrowman and change the formation a bit to suit. Hayes on the wing obviously though. Just dont give me Rooney.
  10. Wouldnt say no to Calderwood. HOWEVER, i am fairly confident Butcher has it in him to get the results. He is here to do a job, he wont give up facing up to that job before the end of the season. Im intrigued to see what happens in these next 3 games, and then the ALBA cup final. He got it tremendously right last weekend, i wonder after a few trial and errors, he has finally found a team and formation that works.
  11. Anyone else having difficulty buying tickets off the on-line ticket office? im not a season ticket holder, but i thought it was open to everyone as from today? EDIT: Confirmation finally came through. Next question, i bought 3 tix, 2 student ones.....do i have to send in proof of the students cards before my tix get sent out?
  12. I take it you are student or under 16 that you are getting them for ?3? or is there a sneaky way you are talking about for anyone to get them for ?3?
  13. Get Iain Stewart in there, seen Billy Urqhuart recently aswell looking tip top, sure he would be up for a shot. In more recent times Rankin, Cowie, maybe too recent but would show what we have lost. I agree....a team from our last time in the first division, the current team would get torn a new one.
  14. Imagine being a full time footballer, then the next month you are a part timer. Jeez.....if they dont have the motivation just now for football, will they when they are part time?
  15. I think these next 4 games are the make or break of our season. Ayr Away, Airdrie at home, Morton at Home, and County Away. I think we should definitely be looking at 12 points here, id probably settle for 10 realistically though. If they cant do that we really dont deserve to go back up. Ive hated all this bounce-back realted stuff, but genuinely really firmly believe even though we are well more behind than we should be, 7 points behind the leaders, but theres 4 teams in the pack and we arent there. 10 or 12 points would bring us right back in it. We are playing the 3 teams that are below us in the league, so confience should be high. Also, the teams above us all play one another so will be dropping points with one another. Then we have County away...the big one, plus its at Dingwall so no home form to panic about. Then we eventually have the Alba cup final...get a group of results in the league, get the confidence up for the Cup Final! I fail to give up believing we can do it, but i need some reassurance from somewhere, just hope its soon!
  16. Now we are in a terrible financial state, i think it would be highly likely if county wanted barrowman, they would easily get him. Id be happy for him to go, even though i rate him better than Roony. I just have a hunch that it would be a big mistake if we did let him go....probably end up hammering the goals in for county.
  17. Apparently Sanchez put in a good shift at Raith, maybe he's trying harder. If he continues to try hard then he could be a vital player. Aye he looked good on the highlights, had a decent chance of scoring from quite far out. Yeh I've seen the highlights and he showed a couple of great touches, passes and flicks. Unlucky his shot didn't go in. Yeah, i reckon that he could do a decent job for us, sitting behind the strikers, supporting and linking up with them. I can confirm Sanchez played a big part for Ict when he came on for Imrie. Im not taking anything away from Imrie, he was good aswell especially on the counter attack. But we really looked like scoring when Sanchez came on, he got the ball - mostly outside the box, controlled it, and looked for the best options. I think this is what hes best at. Obviously with his goal tally, he knows how to hit the back of the net aswell.
  18. Think everyone on their day have the potential to be great. Biggest assets to ICT at the moment are Imrie, Esson, Granty and Tokely. However, if Cox gets his act together like he did against Montrose Alba cup first game, and say Dunfermline, then he will shine through. Hayes is really impressing me, his runs down the wing are proving vital. Foran if he gets decent service, and Sanchez if he gets his ass moving. Theres 8 so far, from this years squad. Few of them need to work, but all have the potential.
  19. Im quite the opposite....first game i saw them lose was the first time i wore my black away top to a match - kilmarnock second last game of last season. In 2009 ive seen them win at Ibrox, then beat Killie 2-1 at home, then beat St Mirren 2-1, then Draw with Hamilton 1-1. Then beat St Mirren at Paisley 2-1, then that dreaded day at Rugby Park. Then got beat off Falkirk then relegation. Really hate seeing them get beat, because you cant beat that feeling of when they win!!
  20. Just back and settled. Hard to believe i travelled a 280 mile round trip to see inverness play at home on saturday(granted i did have a night out and stay over), then i had a 12 mile round trip tonight. Love midweek games!! Anyway, first half...not poor, but we were getting broked down and Raith were doing quite well. Granty having a great game again and nothing getting past him. Anyone else notice he won every singe header he was on tonight? Keeps impressing me. Defence was rather shaky, but not often! Could hardly play in midfield alot as they were chasing us down non stop. Second half we started alot better, couple of chances in first couple of minutes, although Raith had their own chances aswell. Imrie was doing well, catching Raith on the counter attack. Sanchez came on and i think he did really well. Was calm on the ball, and had a couple of good shots. So glad the goal came. I couldnt stand having a draw to go home to! It was like a totally different team after the goal....we passed it, were calm, and had the most chances we had all night. Why cant we play like that all the time?Well done all involved, but seriously, PLAY LIKE THAT IN THE SECOND HALF AT HOME! We should be beating Dunfermline again, but form says not.....well bugger form, lets do it!!! After a win tonight, i may well be up for the trip up again! Please dont make me hate you again if i do!! CALEY!!
  21. This could go two ways, and for me, the next two games will tell. Anything bar two wins against Raith and Dunfermline, we are in trouble. I really am looking for two wins, and if we dont, i will be happy to voice my displeasure. We surely are able to beat these teams. Anyway, if we dont get two wins, we will slowly but surely carry on the way we are....down a long slippery slope into nothingness. If we win, its a confidence booster, and then we will start getting into the winning ways. Come on Caley, i enjoy coming to the games, dont make me not come to them because i dont enjoy them! Start with a win tomorrow! If we dont find some sort of consistency, we are truly fecked.
  22. My first game for a while....Beating Rangers at Ibrox 0-1 with Ian Black's penalty. Even better that Rangers beat the Tic to the title even though they dropped points against us.
  23. Robbos a hearts man, always has been and still says he is in his Sun Column. As some have said, whats in the past is the past. Whos to say he would come in and do a good job? Because he has before? Nah, doesnt work like that. But dont get me wrong, id definitely be up for giving him a chance. His love for the club, striker skills, and contacts in the game all do it for me.
  24. Considering we had such a low conceded goals per game tally, its all went tits up now that partick, county and queens have scored 3 into us each. How is that, on your own pitch? Dreadful Granty for me this season though has become a better player than last year. Some of his last minute tackles covering for other people is immense. Tokely was as slow as ive ever seen him saturday, he didnt care to try and get back. I was surprised at Bully since ive seen him. Guy sitting next to me was at his first game this year, and he said 'that number 3 is a bit shaky' i said it was probably just a quick blip....was it hell, he was dire all game!! Golly...well, he has a good performance then a shaky one, so still undecided about him. Think he could be quite good, but Lionels amazing runs once he gets going are missed. Terry certainly has his work cut out, but i just wished he could have found a formation that works by now.
