  1. I wouldn't be unhappy with The Rangers either at home or away. It would almost certainly be selected for live TV which, taken with the gate money, would give us a six figure boost to the coffers which might help us recruit a striker and possibly a replacement for David Raven in January and, unlike a draw against Celtic, which might generate similar revenue, would still give us an opportunity to progress in the tournament.
  2. A good day for the Highland League with Brora, Cove and Formartine all beating SPFL opposition and Fraserburgh winning away to Spartans. A decent show too by Buckie who twice led our opponents for Tuesday before finally going down 2-3. Hopefully, that will have tired them out on a heavy pitch.
  3. People from Merkinch and the Ferry are just people and Invernessian people at that.
  4. Just how narrow minded are you capable of being ? The success of countries like Iceland and the fact that the tournament is no longer monopolised by Europe and two or three South American countries is a breath of fresh air. It is the World Cup after all.
  5. Our toughest challenge to date but we have the advantage of being at home. No reason why we can't progress further in this competition especially if a fair number take advantage of the free entry to give the young lads some vocal backing.
  6. Interesting promotion. With any luck we will be giving them away for a fiver by the end of the season.
  7. Aye, but even he can't afford to move Dingwall to the Central Belt which seems to be the SFA's principal criterion.
  8. Given that the capital is Edinburgh, Glasgow is in the provinces although given how Weegiecentric the SFA are you'd never know it.
  9. He is very obviously a confidence player and that goal will do wonders for his confidence which can only be good for ICT.
  10. To those lazily issuing red dots, surely it would be better to take just two or three minutes to explain why you disagree. Much less confrontational and far more enlightening.
  11. Cheap and utterly inferior.
  12. I remember not so very long ago when our semi final opponents were vet strong favourites indeed for the trophy.
  13. Alex Fisher is not getting a great deal of game time at Motherwell. If we are looking for a big forward and we have any real ambition to mount a promotion push this season, we could do a lot worse than trying to get him on loan in the January window.
  14. Good, generally positive and encouraging, interviews. The only thing I would take issue with is Robbo's assertion that 'we don't have the luxury of a hundred years of history behind us'. Yes we do, in fact we have well over two hundred years of combined history.
  15. This thread seems a bit fishy.
  16. Can we make it a thousand minutes without conceding?
  17. Can we please keep this thread on topic.
  18. Back to woeful defending in the first half. We were fortunate that the Bairns and Hippolyte in particular, left their shooting boots on the bus otherwise we could easily have gone in at the interval two or three down. Much better in the second half and deserved to edge it. Good to see Doran back in competitive action. As others have said, Crusaders, either home or away, in the semis rather than the tedium of meeting another Championship club five times in a season. We can win this competition and the confidence from that can only be good for our league campaign.
  19. It very much depends how good he is with that one foot. For instance, the late Davie Cooper was very one footed but was one of the most accomplished and skilful players of his day.
  20. The earliest I can think of is Ted MacDougall but there must have been others before him.
  21. I think that the word maybe is superfluous.
  22. I am not a big fan of Dean Sheils but he has overcome a significant impairment to play professional sport at a reasonable level. For a moron of a fellow professional to mock him for that is a disgrace and, in my view, an eight match ban is about right.
  23. He has turned things round very successfully and the award is well merited.
  24. Agree, as long as he's prepared to come in under our current, much reduced, wage structure. On that basis, he would be a useful addition to the squad.
  25. Forget the result it was a friendly. Good to see Seedorf getting a run out, nice to see Nick Ross back in an ITC shirt, assuming his wage demands are reasonable, once match fit, he will be a real asset in this division. Best of all, great to see Doran making a scoring return to the fray. Much to be optimistic about.
