  1. If Strachan failed to pick Graham Shinnie at his best then there is no chance of Strachan picking an ICT player ever. In fact, given that he still fails to select players from the only Premiership club with a 100% record, there is a fat chance of him picking anyone playing north of the central belt.
  2. It's worse than that. It's every two years. They bang on about winning the Euros as well.
  3. I don't often say this and it may be a while before I do so again but a green dot for Laurence from me. A fine bowler in all conditions who was also the first English bowler to reach four hundred wickets and, if he stays fit, stands a good chance of surpassing the fantastic Glen McGrath to become the most prolific seam bowler of all time. Well done Jimmy and well said Laurence.
  4. Not a damn thing..
  5. I think this has just about been done to death with all views fully aired. We have an important match tomorrow. Maybe time to unite, whatever our differences of opinion, and concentrate on the football.
  6. As far I'm aware, the rustling of sweetie papers is not yet a criminal offence. Damaging property belonging to others is.
  7. The 'few' left the club with no alternative but to react. If there is fault at all, it's the failure to deal with this ongoing issue earlier.
  8. Grow up and accept that we have responsibility. Brechin are a decent, hospitable community club and it's entirely proper that they should not be out of pocket through the actions of a few irresponsible idiots from our fan base. It's not a hanging offence and we all did stupid things when we were young but it's time to accept responsibility and move on.
  9. A shame it had to come to that. Perhaps if they were to apologise both to our own club and to Brechin and give an undertaking to conduct themselves responsibly in the future the ban could be lifted. We need all the support we can get, particularly from the young and enthusiastic.
  10. Nah. That can't be right. He isn't 'fit enough' even to sit on our bench. Time to bring this farce to an end and have him examined by an independent expert in whatever condition he claims to be suffering from.
  11. A home draw has to be welcome in any cup competition. Peterhead will be no pushover but if we avoid complacency we should be in the next round.
  12. I too welcome the return if Tremarco. We are not going to score barrowloads of goals this season with the strike force we have so it's important that we tighten up at the back. A defence including Tremarco, Warren and Raven will go a long way towards achieving that.
  13. We now have information and communication from the club after months without. I don't think we can complain to much about one surplus letter f. Good luck to the youths today. Time we had a good run in this competition.
  14. A potential embarrassment effectively avoided.
  15. Glad we are treating this competition seriously and putting out a strong team. Would still much prefer it to be midweek and for us to be continuing on league business today especially after getting a bit of much needed momentum last week.
  16. Sadly, I fear that is is too little too late.
  17. I have never been a huge fan of domestic football being interrupted for international weekends but accepted it in the Premiership as a necessary evil. However, with so few current international players plying their trade at a lower level in Scotland, is is there really any need to have have this frustrating interruption in the Championship or below ?
  18. So very true and I suspect that, although we tend to be less vocal, we considerably outnumber those who do have issues.
  19. It also amounts to the common law criminal offences of breach of the peace or culpable and reckless conduct.
  20. I believe that there is such a clause but that it is nowhere near the 25% that Motherwell negotiated.
  21. I agree that Old Firm fans in particular get off with far too much disgraceful conduct without sanction. All the more reason for our young crew not to follow suit. Two wrongs can never make a right.
  22. A pity but a sad reality that on transfer deadline day we are discussing a player who will probably never play for us again rather than acquiring one or two new faces to enhance our prospects of promotion.
  23. Petulant and immature. Grow up children and continue to do what you do best by supporting the club loudly and enthusiastically but when you have overstepped the mark as some of you did on Saturday for goodness sake learn the lesson and don't give the likes of CB and others the opportunity to ridicule you. You can do much better than that and have done in the past.
  24. Loud, colourful and enthusiastic support is always welcome. However, the behaviour complained of is selfish, dangerous and criminally illegal whether in a football ground or elsewhere. There is no excuse for it or justification for defending it. Warnings have been issued before and ignored. The time has come for the perpetrators to be identified and punished. Brechin City were very hospitable to our fans on Saturday. A few abused that hospitality. That is not the Highland way. It's not the ICT way.
