  1. It seems to me that the choice is very simple indeed either replace the manager now or undo in the space of 3 months what it took the combined efforts of hundreds of dedicated people, not least Mr Sutherland ,in excess of 15 years to achieve.
  2. I'd prefer an experienced manager but an unproven manager would be preferable to one who has proven himself to be wholly incompetent. There's no doubt, whether or not he came as manager, he could do a job in defence at least for the remainder of this season.
  3. Can someone please explain Johndo's original post to me in no more that 5 sentances ? It's January 1st and I'm far too hungover to wade through it far less understand it !
  4. He'd be bound to have more of a clue than the present incumbent !
  5. Sorry IHE I'm even slower today than normal. Maybe smelling and then even drinking the coffee will help the sobering up process !
  6. Might be worthwhile to consider cutting our losses and doing so.
  7. It appears from David Sutherland's interview on North Tonight that the board are determined not to act until it is too late. Another 3 or 4 weeks of inaction will suffice in my opinion !
  8. As we all know the board voted four years ago to change the name of the stadium from the Caledonian Stadium to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium a name very quickly and widely adopted by local and national media affording the Tulloch Group invaluable publicity. In my opinion that gesture was merited given the contribution that particular construction group had made to the remarkable construction of the North and South Stands allowing SPL football to come to Inverness. Surely, however, in a strictly commercial sense they have had their money's worth of adverising over the last four years. The stadium name has an ongoing commercial value even in the current economic climate and the club could certainly do with maximising all sources of revenue. Is it not now time for the rights to be either renegotiated with Tulloch or offered to any other interested party ?
  9. Happy New Year everyone !
  10. I have to say that I share Scotty's concerns. Mr Sutherland is a very astute businessman who would not contenance such blatent mismanagement on an ongoing basis in any other part of his business interests. If he was soley interested in the best intersts of the club then Brewster would have departed weeks ago. Something else is going on behind the scenes but I'm at a loss to understand what. One thing, however, is crystal clear, the trust and the ordinary fans cannot afford to be silenced. The time has come for all of us who have the best interests of the club at heart to be heard loud and clear and to continue to vocalise our concerns until apporiate action is taken.
  11. Funny how things can be interrupted differently. During an interview where he's obviously been instructed to pedal the party line I read this one line as possibly showing encouragement/support for the fans to keep on making their views known. Funnily, that's just what I was thinking ? Not the most ringing endorsement of our manager by his club captain !
  12. There are children throughout the stadium not just in the family enclosure. The position is made clear by the announcere before each and every match.
  13. Unlike Israel, Egypt are not currently driving a coach and horses through international law and basic humanity !
  14. 1. Colin Calderwood 2. Gordon Chisholm 3. John Robertson
  15. I will not be there. I'm not going to another game under the present manager.
  16. Think that's the general idea !
  17. Probably just as well. The last thing we need just now is another inexperienced manager.
  18. Gartland maybe formed the view that St Johnstone are more likely than ICT to be in the SPL next season.
  19. A cmass walk out would be far and away the most potent protest. The trouble is you would need the majority of home fans to participate whereas the fact of the matter is, no matter how strong the feelings are, only a few dozen are likely to participate. That being the case, chants and banners are likely to be much more effective.
  20. The prospect of first division football wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the dire financial consequenses.
  21. Pity that Gordon Chisholm and Barry are to be working together in Dumfries rather than Inverness but best of luck Barry and thanks for countless memories !
  22. Spot on RednBlack. I think they are preparing for the gamble of staying with the ship and see if it manages to stay afloat. And, as you say, they know if ICT is relegated, the club will have to be purged. Its a gamble most other clubs would not take. and rightly so !
  23. When a supposedly democratic nation acts in a manner that is less discriminating andmore remorselessly bloodthirsty than the terrorists then yes I have to agree with those who have little or no sympathy for them. Can you just imagine what "sanction" would befall any Arab nation acting in the same way. What happened over Christmas has undoubtedly created a whole mass of new highly motivated suicide bombers.
  24. Surely, if Brewster is to be replaced, the next day or two is the time to do it. Our next fixture is a match against Rangers which nobody realistically expects us to take anything from. Then we have a cup match which, although not unimportant, pales into insignificance compared to league survival. That gives three weeks until the next match of real importance, now possibly among the most crucial of our season, against fellow relegation candidates Hamilton. A real six pointer if ever there was one. If the board have the courage to act and act quickly any new man will have a fair amount of time to work with the squad and even bring in two or three players of his own choosing before we face what could be the most crucial match of the season. If the board dither and waste more time such an opportunity will not arise again this season. Come on those responsible for our club, act decisively and act now !
  25. feast
