County cash windfall??
Wont cushion the drop into the second division too much.

ICT V PARS -- KIDS GET IN FREE
A welcome gesture.

New Captain
Assuming the rumours about Notts. Forest aren't true.
-
New Captain
It's clear that we will be without both our club captain and our team captain next season. Who do you think should get the honour ? My own vote goes to Grant Munro.

FTOF
Sad but not surprising.

Total Respects to Darren Dods - but Goodbye.
ICT are paying his wages until the end of the season. I say he should play if he's intrumental in us finihing a couple of places higher up the table then he may well fund his own successor.

Down, down, deeper and down
Whilst I don't share Smee's setiments in general, I too think that Egin City might well have gained entry to the Scottish League ahead of County had it not been for the unfortunate background to their bid if only on the basis of population base and history of success. However, that's now ancient history and no grounds for ishing our neighbours ill at ths difficult time for them.

Down, down, deeper and down
I tend to agree, for a number of reasons.

Players who've scored on their debut for ICT
Duncan Shearer.

Former Football Grounds
Reference has been made to Derby's old stomping ground. How was it that a football ground in the East Midlands came to be named after a quinessentially U.S. sport ?
-
Down, down, deeper and down
It would be a sad day for football in the Highlands were Couny to fall back into the second division.

No top six
We need to try to win as much place money as possible. The failure to a secure atop six place couple with our cup elimination are severe finncial setbacks in planning for next season.

Former Football Grounds
I was in Sunderland in the autumn for my sins. The Stadium of Light looks pretty impressive.

Former Football Grounds
So what's become of Highfield Road then Gringo ?

Former Football Grounds
With so many clubs having decamped into anonomous concrete and steel cloned stadia of varying sizes there must now be dozens of former football grounds throughout the United Kingdom serving different purposes. Locally, those new functions are all too boring and mundane with Kingsmills turned over to housing, Telford Street to a retail park, Muirton Park now being home to an ASDA and Peterhead's old ground at Recreation Park housing yet another Supermarket. Surely somewhere on this Island there is an old football stadium serving a more interesting purpose. Does anyone know of any old grounds which have actually been converted into something worthwhile ?

Manger or Team ... of the Month ?
Tend to agree. Anyway who would get the outsixed bottle of Bells if the award went to the team of the month ?

ICT on Football Focus today
So are ICT to feature this saturday for sure ?
-
Dargo poised
So all being well he could feature at some stage against Killie. He usually does well against his former employers.
-
Mike Fraser
Michael has done fairly well since his rapid promotion to first choice 'keeper but we will still need another experienced custodian as cover and competition for next season.

CC Advice Thread
Any chance of Dargo returning, he usually does rather well against his former employers ?

So why can't we just call them "CALEY"
Although it's ancient history now, their was little transaparency in what exactly each party brought to the table in terms of assets. However the final figure after disposal of their respective assets was roughly two thirds Caley and one third Thistle. However it's impossible to see the relevance of that now nearly a decade and a half on when most of the working capital of the club is that invested by a commercial contruction company and it's erstwhile chairman. ICT is a dream that would never have come to fruition without the sacrafices that took place in both sides quite some time ago now. The fact of the matter is that the enterprise has succeeded beyond the wildest dreams of most Cley ad Thistle members who took that bold step and the success will only continue with the same amount of application and determination of all those associated with he club from the chairman down to occasional attendees in the future.

So pleased for Barry
I too thought that this would be Barry's last season but he appears to be on course to overtake CC as the player with the second highest appearance record for the club and Iain Stewart as the second top scorer. In fact, unless Denzil gets his finger out next season there's an outside possibility that he could retre as the club's record goal scorer.

Forget today, we must beat Killie
The next four matches are crucial. The difference between tenth and sixth place in financial terms is over £300,000. That sort of cash will have a huge impact on ourability to recruit and retain players for next season.

St Johnstone
For any number of reasons I'd prefer to see the Perth Saints rather than Gretna make the step up to the SPL
