So why can't we just call them "CALEY"
As an, increasingly, old Jaggie, I accept that the merger was less than equal although more equal than once might have been the case before it was discovered, amost by accident, that Thistle actually owned Kingsmills, rather than, as had long believed to be the case, were merely tenants of the Church of Scotland. Nevertheless, the fact that the the most common nickname is Caley is not an issue especially givn the fact that after more than a decade after the merger most of the media and indeed thoase associated with the club more often than not use the title Caley Thistle or some corruption or varaition thereof. The history of the club is well known and secure. It matters not to this ICT supporter what the club is known as informally as long as it continues to prosper on and off the park. The fact that the chant is Caley and the strip is predominately blue is a small price to pay for seeing top flight football in Inverness after a century of being shunned by the national associations. Come on the Jags !

FA Cup
Take consolation from the fact that you have 84 minutes to resign yourself to defeat rather than have that fate befall you right at the death with victory almost in sight.

Lets be positive
Top six is still possible but only if wetake maximum points from the Arabs on saturday. It will be very interesting to see what sort of effect sunday's late kick in the teeth has on the attitude of the plyers.

Craig Dargo
Maybe he feels he does't need to attract any further attention.
-
Craig Dargo
When Craig was injured originally the suggestion was that he would be back by now as his dislocated shoulder was reset immediately without surgery. Now it seems that he's not even back in training. My suspicious mind is wondering whether Craig himself is not too oncerned about an early return so that he is not risking further injury prior to signing for his new club in the summer.

Graham Bayne
He gets better and better and nobody in the squad works harder.

Clach going to the wall... again?
Especially the Wine Shed !

Life line for County?
Mr. Flynn seems to have scant regard for the rules and indeed the laws of the land. High time that Livingston faced an appropriate penalty.

The Worst Cup Defeats
Certainly the most bitterly disappointed I've ever been at the end of a match in forty years or so of watching football.
-
Who's to blame..
The fact is that our tactics were very good and we were simply the victims of five minutes of cruel bad luck.
-
Ian Black
One of his best ever games for the club in my opinion.

Charlie comments on Rory McAllister
The min thing that Rory lacks at present is composure in front of goal he often seems to snatch at chances when he clearly has time to do better.
-
Morgan
Then again, when I first saw a very young Martin Bavidge I was convinced tha he would be playing for Scotland by now which shows just what a good judge of potential Iam!
-
Morgan
I still think that Morgan has the potential to be a great player.

What matters more cup glory or top six finish?
Being truthful, holding onto our lead against Celtic today would have meant much more than a top six finish, especially if we were then able to progress to the final. Awe well, there's always next season !

ICT V Celtic Post Match Thread
Possibly the most sickening five minutes or so in all my forty or so years of watching football. Who would have thought that with two minutes of normal time to go we wouldn't even have the consolation of a reply ?

16 Team SPL
I wouldn't disagree with that.
-
Supporting Celtic/Rangers
I was wondering that myself.
-
Supporting Celtic/Rangers
Rangers and Celtic are both very difficult to love but on balance I tend to support them in Europe although with the behaviour of Rangers fans in particicular the fact that the club is nominally Scottish can be a very difficult concept to accept.

Clach going to the wall... again?
I too would regret the loss of the Lillywhites.
-
16 Team SPL
I would favour two leagues of 16 with structured regional leagues below that.

Tear gas
Once in the Paris Metro as a victim of the over enthusiastic French policing. Not a pleasant experience !

This New Away Top
Is that so that we can be confused with Rangers or England cricket supporters again ?
-
Yo-Yo season
The main thing is that we are virtually safe from relegation.

Time for change?
Doesn't look as though the club will have much choice in the matter. This close season is likey to see the most comprehensive change in personel in the club's history. Let's hope that we get it right. Consistency of squad has been our single biggest advantage over our rivals in the bottom half of the table but surely the fact that we are now forced to bring in fresh blood is more of an opportunity than a threat.
