  1. The man is clearly unfit to be associated with a football club in this country and the sooner the SFA take action the better.
  2. A must win game if we are to maintain any realistic hope of a top six finish.
  3. Totally agree RIG. Although from it's title I thought that the thread may be to do ith Gordon Brown's new ound love for the Englisg football team and their bid to host the World Cup.
  4. Too big a gap for Dundee to make up Alan although St Johnstone might just be in with a shout.

Victories against Kilmanock, Motherwell and Falkirk will be essential to secure a top six slot. A tall order but not impossible.

I have to agree with Charles. Notwithstanding the fact that our club is probably the most prudently run in the league, the fact of he matter is that maintaining ICT as a competive SPL club now costs more than £50,000 a week. That sort of income is hard to sustain and the club can only do so by maximising their income from occasional windfall opportunities such as the Celtic quarter final. The club have occasionally experimented with reducing league prices in the past and franlky the response of the Inverness public has ben apathetic to say the least. I would say however that I agree that £15 for a child to watch a game against the likes of Motherwell or St Mirren is far too high a price to ask of those who are reliant on pocket money and are the future of the club. Iwouldn't mind paying an extra couple of pounds for entry if it meant child prices being reduced to a more acceptable £8 or so.

Barry is also hot on the heels of Iain Stewart as far as being the club's second highest scorer is concerned. Not bad for a midfielder.
  8. So that's conclusive then, either he'll be fit for the quarter final or he wont be !
  9. Let's deny them that opportunity.
  10. It seems that we may once again have a rival. Willie Miller is keen for Aberdeen to enter if they don't otherwise qualify for Europe although Calderwood appears to be less keen.
  11. The fact of the matter is thatfrom a commercial point of view the club need to maximise income from these occasional windfall matches so that we can compete in the SPL which will cost the best part of three million pounds in the current financial year.
  12. The game will sell out in which case, steep as the prices seem, the club are right in a commercial sense. It now costs in excess of £50,000 a week to run ICT and we are all clamouring for beter players so the club have no real option otheer than to maximise these revenue raising opportunities when they come along.
  13. Not such ae to be travelling toTynecastle in my opinion.

To be fair Action Man nobody seems to be giving the lad stick apart from the author of this thread.
  15. Does anyone know when SKY are likely to confirm their live game for the quarter final weekend ?

It's too early to say whether Michael should be the long term replacement for Mark Brown but he surely deserves to be given until the end of the season to stake his claim.

Given the price of tickets the size of the crowd was no great surprise.
  18. I was wondering what had happened to Emily.
  19. Charlie has the best record of any of our head coaches as far as SPL football is concerned. What happens in this summer's transfer window will go a long way to showing whether Bonzo's fears are well founded o nt.

A nice gesture in the circumstances especially as Eddie Thomson will probably deduct the cost of a new pair of gloves from his wages.
  21. It's not so long ago that we would be 14/1 to beat Celtic far less win the cup.
  22. Russell often doesn't get the credit he deserves.
  23. A good draw in my opinion. I f we are going to win the cup we will have to beat Celtic t some point. Beter to have the opportunity at home than at "neutral" Hampden later on. We've no reason to be in awe of them. Our record against them in this competition is second to none and assuming, as is likely, that SKY decide to broadcast the match, the revenue for the club will be in excess if £150,000 which will go a long way to compenating for yesterday's disappointing takings.
  24. According to tday's Press & Journal, the club will be declaring a desire once again to compete in next season's tournament. If so,let's hope that the position is resolved a good deal earlier than last time around when nobody seemed sure whether we would be in it or not until well into june. The same article also indicates that the team intend o go back to Tuscany for pre season training if the Intertoto is not an option. It appears that there will be no US trip at least this year.
  25. Given that we are in no real danger of relegation, there is no ned to panic. It's an opportunity to see how Rory handles a run of games in the first team. The last time he had that chance under Craig Brewster he was clearly not nearly as mature in terms of physical development as he is now as well as being somewhat naive and overawed by the situation.
