  1. What a servant to the club, he deserves a bumper turnout.
  2. Iain Stewart; first he loses his status as our all time top scorer and now, with today's news on John Rankin, as our all time most expensive incoming transfer.
  3. On how long a contract ?

Now that Rankin has apparently signed, are we still pursuing this dea ?
  5. I've come to admire Terry Butcher in recent years.
  6. The fact of te matter is that, even taking bonus payments into account, our players are still, on average the lowest paid in the SPL. However, he gap between ourselves and the liles of Kilmarnock, Dunferemline and Motherwell is nawwowing all the time as our wages creep up and the others, at best, remain static.
  7. Thus' one of the longest running transfer sagas in the history of Scottish football finally come to an end. We'll have nothing to talk about now.
  8. I can't think of a good exerienced striker who would be available and within our budget. I agree, however, that we need someone to share the load with Dargo and Wyness.
  9. Are you sure you're not getting confused with Duncan Shearer ?
  10. Visiting in laws in Kent so I sincerely hope that England have no continuing interest in the competition by then.

  14. He may be a competent tennis player but he needs to mature a a human being.
  15. It always seemed to me that the shows which reached the Bught were apretty feeble rump of the numerous rides, stalls and sideshows which pitched up in Nairn a week or two before. Without doubt cruel and politically incorrect, my most vivid memories are of the various "freaks" who inhabited many of the side show tents.
  16. I don't think that there's any possibe sinister motive here.
  17. A 1969 Hillman Imp. The brakes had a tendency to sieze up completely if not driven for more than about 18 hours. Purchased for £130 and sold for a modest profit. The first and last time I ever managed to sell a car for more than I paid for it.
  18. I still can't see too much to be positive about. Our prospects for Euro 2008 are very poor indeed.
  19. I suspect that David utherland will still hae a great deal of influence in the boardroom.
  20. As usual, I suspect thatr there will be a bit of late activity. I can see us signing one midfielder and one forward before the start of the season with one or two of the current squad being transfered out.
  21. Strikes me as a very poor way for any manager of a business to treat experienced staff.
  22. I'm sure that my first school dinner tickets in the mid 60s were 1 shilling and sixpence.
  23. I seem to recall that the score was 3-0 in that match.
  24. Pity in a way, a season playing first team football in the first division would have been of benifit both to Michael and the club in the long run.
  25. The Aussies ought to have been more positive when they held a numerical advantage for so long, they were largely authors of their own misfortune.
