  1. I'm sure that my first school dinner tickets in the mid 60s were 1 shilling and sixpence.
  2. I seem to recall that the score was 3-0 in that match.
  3. Pity in a way, a season playing first team football in the first division would have been of benifit both to Michael and the club in the long run.
  4. The Aussies ought to have been more positive when they held a numerical advantage for so long, they were largely authors of their own misfortune.
  5. Playing wih my clockwork train set. Hadn't yet graduated to Hornby.
  6. N ot to mention Alan Morgan.
  7. First ever match; Thistle agaist Clach at Grant Street circa 1967. 2-2 draw if memory serves. First Scottish League match; Aberdeen v Rangers at Pittodrie circa 1973, Aberdeen won but I can't remember the score. First Scotland match; 1-1 draw with Norheren Ireland at Hampden just prior to the 1978 Argentina debacle. First ICT, then merely CT, "glamour" friendly against St Mirren prior to our first league season. First match at Fortress Longman; Scottish Cup replay against Stanraer which we were fortunate to win on penalties. First ICT SPL match; 2-0 victory over Dunfermline at Pittodrie featuring a Juanjo roll. First Scottish Cup Final; predicted 2-1 victory over Rangers at Hampden this coming season.
  8. Charlie doesn't sound too hopeful of him staying beyond his current contract though.
  9. Not before time. That building is second only to the Bridge Street monstrosity in blighting the town centre.
  10. Dargo would be more difficult and expensive to replace than Black.
  11. A four hour bus journey, no worse than travelling toPeterhead or Fraserburgh in the Highland League.
  12. Credit to England, they never looked in serious trouble.
  13. It just goes to show how consistent we've been over the last two seasons despite having three different managers.
  14. Both Strathclyde and Lothian police, which would be the forces mainly concerned, have indicated that they don't have the resourses to police matches regularly on friday evenings.
  15. I wonder whether the ongoing criminal investigationa will have any influence on their pre season arrangements ?
  16. Not a great fixture list from a financial point of view. There are four teams who can be relied on to produce sell outs or near sell outs, namely; Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Hearts. We only play one of these teams at home twice before the split which will cost the club tens of thousands of pounds in revenue.
  17. He certainly seemed to be ather confuse towards the end.
  18. Some players just seem injury prone.
  19. Home against St Mirren would do just fine.
  20. Kingsmills

He would be a decent signing but not worth breaking the wage structure for.
