  1. It would certainly be disappointing but dropping to 77th in the FIFA rankings under the clueless Berri Vogts would still remain the all time low.
  2. A stalwart not just of Caley but of Highland football in general as well as being a respected journalist and a fine and tremendously witty and entertaining man.
  3. Very well done Jimmy Anderson. Now the leading, fast bowling, wicket taker of all time. A testament not just to his skill but to his fitness and longevity. A seam bowler's body takes more punishment than almost any other sportsman but there he is still going strong at thirty six and looking for for one last hurrah at next Summer's ashes. Retiring after that series with perhaps six hundred test wickets under his belt would be a hugely fitting end to a fine fine career. Even if he is a grumpy Lancastrian bugger!
  4. My Scottish Cup Winners mug still takes pride of place on my desk. However, while it was a fun day out, I'm not convinced that beating Dumbarton to win that particular piece of silverware is worth investing in ceramics at any price.
  5. Why don't we play in red and black vertical stripes and have the urinals painted blue ? ?
  6. Delighted to see that we are canvassing the views of half our potential fan base. A group that have been neglected by too many clubs for far too long.
  7. One women's team under the wing of the club would be ideal. In my view, it doesn't matter too much whether they are called City or CT as long as there is a serious commitment. If there is a lack of female talent in the area then that needs to be addressed from primary school onwards. I my experience, girls love playing football just as much as boys but are not always given the same encouragement or opportunity.

Yip. He did the odd, very informative, live question and answer session on here during his first spell in charge but that was when we had a board who were very much open to communication with the fans. I have a strong suspicion that he would be actively discouraged from doing something similar now even if he wanted to.
  9. Of course we should. Half the population are female. What an achievement for Scotland to top quite a difficult group and qualify for the World Cup Finals. Women's football and women's sport in general has been neglected for far too long.
  10. Scottish football would, without doubt be better without the ugly sisters. However, that will never happen as nobody else wants them and the unsavoury baggage they both carry. Septic seem to be fairly prudently run from a financial point of view so the best we can hope for is that the other mob and their convicted criminal of a chairman overreach themselves once more and die again.
  11. If they are not going to post the most basic of information which fans have to find elsewhere, they are unlikely to want to engage in helpful and informative dialogue and exchange of ideas. What a great shame. Other than online ticketing, it's difficult to see what purpose the official site has these days.
  12. If it gets wee Billy and his dreadful punditry off the airwaves that might be no bad thing.
  13. I couldn't care less what the organisation is called as long as it's functioning and effective which, for whatever reason, wasn't the case for far too long.
  14. Not so sure that much answering has gone on in recent months.
  15. What a great shame that we don't have the opportunity to build on this momentum quickly due to the international break. I can understand the Premiership being suspended but why does the Championship have to suffer disruption when so few players in the division are on international duty ? It would be an opportunity for the league to be showcased with highlights of all games being shown on Sportscene for example. There were four seasons when that publicly funded programme featured at least one lower league match every week. I can't for the life of me work out why they stopped.

The new board of CJT have not long got their feet under the table. We need to cut them a bit of slack.

Nobody is obsessed. Many of us would just like the current regime to do what they undertook to do and have failed to do ever since. ICT used to feel like a family from the board room down to us humble souls in the stands. That has been lost in recent months and that is a great shame. Our club has always been most successful when there is harmony and folk are pulling in the same direction. That is not a matter of money or resourses but simple courtesy and respect for the fans which will then be reciprocated.
  18. I seem to recall that we went twenty odd league games unbeaten the season we won the Third Division under Pele. Is this our longest unbeaten run in the league since ?

Scarlet, it's not a failure to make 'constant contact' that is the issue. Nobody expects that. It's the failure to make any meaningful contact at all for weeks on end that is the issue.
  20. Let's get behind him every time he pulls on the shirt.
  21. Thank you for taking the trouble to post and compliment our team and our manager. I miss the interaction with visiting fans that used to take place regularly once upon a time.

There needs to be much improvement on that front but the drop in attendance has much more to do with relegation. However, a few more results like today's will put a dent in that even if the board continue to behave like Trappist monks.
  23. Will just add a bit of spice when we overtake them to top the league after winning the first Highland derby.
  24. 0-3 now Oakley. What a brilliant result and a great confidence booster. A world apart from the drubbing we got at East End Park this time last season. Unbeaten in the league since 13th March.
