ICT SUPPORTERS TRUST : AGM ADJOURNED
Kingsmills replied to CaleyD's topic in ICT Supporters Trust's Discussions
The previous board certainly do bear a share of the responsibility, especially in their final two years. However, to give them credit, they also delivered two major cup finals and one very shiny trophy, numerous top six finishes, European football and several years of pulling off the remarkable feat of turning a modest profit. Many people bear responsibility for where we are now. The important thing now is that we find the right people committed to putting it right. -

We may have slipped out of the final promotion play off spot but today's results worked out not too badly for us.

The interests of fans, particularly those travelling from north of the Central Belt, has never been a priority. Agree with RIG that there is very little indication of that changing any time soon. Friday night football under the lights is great but should be confined to teams within an hour's drive of each other.

Given the question marks in the thread title, it seems that there may be a rival club seer.

How many attendees constitute a quorum ? -
The court records tend to be fairly comprehensive. A bit of a mystery.

Matchday Thread Inverness CT -V- Edinburgh City
Kingsmills replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Not a great first half but the second half was much better and we were efficient and clinical. A bonus to see two of our youngsters come on and make positive contributions. Neither looked out of place in a first team context which bodes well for the future. Only negative note was the size of the crowd. I know it was a chilly evening but the fact that we got our smallest ever crowd for a home Scottish Cup tie is a concern and is a part of a worrying trend. In fact, in my near fifty years of attending Scottish Cup ties in Inverness involving Thistle, Caley, Clach and ourselves, that is probably the lowest crowd I have been part of. A win on Friday against Ayr and a few for displays like the second half may start to reverse the fan drain.- 38 replies

Don't usually do midweek for practical reasons but, as I've never seen Edinburgh City before, I intend to add them to my list.

A good number of people had a hand in breaking it and over a number of seasons now. If it is to be fixed, and I believe it can, it needs a good number of people, from the top down, communicating with each other positively and pulling once more in the same direction whatever their past differences may have been.

There are many authors of our current demise. Those who were too loyal to Foran for too long are among them but so was Yogi Hughes. If that is being deluded then I have been deluded for a very long time.

For once, I, at least partially, agree with you. Livingston did indeed get promoted last season with a smaller budget than us and Ayr are leading the division this season also with a smaller budget although they have a striker on course to score forty goals this season which certainly helps ! Unfortunately, we don't possess such an asset which is why strengthening in January is essential if we are going to retain any real hope of promotion.

It's a relief in a way that the unbeaten run is over as it had been masking a level of mediocrity all season. Not the worst we have played but the finishing, or lack of it, was as dire as ever. To lose at home after taking an early lead against the second worst team in the league tells it's own story. Somehow or other, we are clinging on to the final promotion play off spot but, if nothing changes, that will surely not be the case for much longer and a third successive season in the Championship, this time with no parachute playment, will be inevitable. I appreciate that things are hugely stretched from a financial point of view but, if the current regime have any ambition at all, resourses will have to be found from somewhere to strengthen the squad during the January transfer window. The season is still salvageable but not with the current squad of players.

Welcoming the Bairns well under strength
Kingsmills replied to IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER's topic in Caley Thistle
If we could afford a bigger squad we could probably risk having a couple of injury prone players. However, as our squad is, of necessity, wafer thin, that is a luxury we can't afford. I would still be inclined to risk keeping Austin but would punt Beith to anyone willing to take him -

A worrying and growing disconnect between those now running the club and the fans. That really needs to be addressed as a club of our size can only really succeed with everyone pulling together.

Agree with the first paragraph. As far as the second paragraph is concerned, of course Scotland exists, it's just that, for 90% of the time, unless it suits them, the UK establishment choose not to see us. They saw us when, on the race of the independence refereendem, it looked like we would take our place once more in the community of nations. Believe me, there will will come a day when they will see us again and hear our voice loudly and clearly.

The Prime Minister shows further contempt for Scotland by spending less than three hours in the country in her tour round the UK to try to sell her doomed Brexit deal. When pressed, she could not explain how the deal paid any regard to Scotland's distinct needs and interests repeating her redundant mantra that the deal was in the interest of the whole United Kingdom.

I agree. Let's hope he has the courage to stick with them if and when the absentees are available again.
