Can someone please delete this boring and pointless thread?? :020:
  2. Probably the Perrotta being "English" link, like they had for the World Cup final :rolleyes02:
  3. I'm pretty sure Adrian Mutu is the other guy... :017:
  4. I'm sure there was a song I had to sing at assembly in primary school, that seems suitable for the pictures: "He was so wide you couldn't get round him So high you couldn't get over him..." ??
  5. Great stuff. Hope you really enjoy the trip/match! I'll be doing my best to find some time to see the game on a tv in London. Activities week with the school, so i'll be supervising 40 1st & 2nd years around the various sights... Must remember to bring my ICT and Scotland tops :016:
  6. It could suggest that Mutu and Marica are his preferred starters up front, what with them both starting the game. But good to see the glut of goals occurred when Marius was on the pitch. My guess is that he'll be a sub for the opening game, but will start at least one game. Fingers crossed they get throught the group stages (as well as Netherlands, who i've got in a sweepstake!). A disputed last minute winner against Italy please :023:
  7. All the games are on BBC and ITV. I'll be on a residential week with the school from the 9th onwards, so will prob miss the first 2 games :020: Sky+ will have to do!
  8. I wonder if the national newspapers are going to give us more than a paragraph on Marius's call up, since it looks like it'll just be him, Boruc and Vinegar of Castlemilk representing the SPL? It would be ace if he had one of those "Marius's Euro Diary" columns like they do with players before the Scottish Cup final. ... and IF the club is looking to sell him on, then the added publicity will surely do more good than harm :023:
  9. Wasn't it Charlie Christie that was interested in signing him from Aberdeen, not Brew? I don't think he has the height or strength for Brew to be interested :024:
  10. Well... Panini better release an updated Euro 2008 sticker album then, cause he's not in that :016: Must update my work diary to include what days the Romania games are on...
  11. I think he had tapas, sangria... then went for a siesta. Postcards are on their way.
  12. Just heard the police sirens go whizzing past my aberdeen flat :020: It'll be carnage tonight
  13. It was Inverness Caledonian Thistle last year, did you not see it? :023:
  14. One of my workmates brought up the horror situation of Marius playing in Euro 2008 and getting badly injured, out for a year and ICT having to pick up his wage followed by leaving on a Bosman in 2009 :029: Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!
  15. After reading Barrowman's comments in the P&J today, I don't think he's ICT bound :020: Hope i'm wrong though...

Quite happy with that so far, as those are 2 testing games against 1 division opposition looking to put one over an SPL team. We also have 2 games against Danish league opposition and the glamour of a game against Liverpool. Decent start.
  17. I notice that in the squad there are 4 players that are uncapped or have 1 cap. I'd imagine they'd be the first to be left out of the final 23. Marius and Mutu are the only strikers in double figures for goals as well. I have a funny feeling he'll be left in the squad. Fingers crossed anyhoo, as i'll be looking online for a cheap romania strip to cheer him on.
  18. I've always wondered if a player/manager who lists himself as a sub does his warm up :024:
  19. I see Steven Watt is beg released by Swansea... Perhaps we'll offer him a deal?
  20. I'll miss it as well, since it's In-service day that day in Aberdeen, followed by the schools going back on the Tuesday :029:
  21. Harry Enfield has let himself go a bit....
  22. RossP replied to RiG's topic in Caley Thistle
    That is correct.
  23. Wadsworth says... "It's been a bad week, we've lost a couple of players - Kissock and Baldacchino," he said. "We've got so little variation just now, and this has been a poor day, but I'm not being critical of the players. "Today is hopefully just a major blip in this run of games because we've done really well recently and we've still got two to play." Wadsworth admitted a long journey was the last thing administration-hit Gretna wanted after a week when John-Paul Kissock returned to Everton and Ryan Baldacchino moved to Australia. "Preparation wasn't great for the game," he added. "It was about 7-7:30 we were at the ground, we didn't stop for a meal and we had to eat on the bus, but the microwave wouldn't work. Cold lasagne - so the preparation was poor. "I don't want to make excuses because I thought Inverness were terrific. "Having said that, I thought the first goal was scandalous - it was at least three metres offside, it wasn't even marginal - but there's nothing we can do about that. "I thought we might have had a penalty in the first half, which would have made it a better game." Brewster says... Craig Brewster is aiming for two more wins to secure Inverness Caledonian Thistle's best-ever points total in the Scottish Premier League. "We have had a not too bad season," the manager told BBC Sport after the 6-1 hammering of Gretna on Saturday. "If we win our next two games, we will probably have the most points we have ever had in the Premier League. "Seven defeats on the bounce knocked us back. If we did not have that, who knows where we would have been?" Brewster, whose side sit ninth, believes that he can improve their position next term. "We are not far away and have a really good squad," he said. "One or two will come in and one or two will leave, but I have to create a good environment for these guys to flourish." Brewster was delighted the thrashing of the SPL's already-relegated side. "It's always pleasing to score six goals with six different scorers," he said.
