  1. So you're embarrased by our support but not by your posts on this thread?
  2. All very true Libero. From a player's perspective, if the money is equal, County have the appeal of being a team on the up, whereas we might be perceived as being on the slide. But we have the track record of being a more established and credible SPL club. And due to Terry Butcher's profile and connections, we should be better placed to recruit players from England - good and bad!

Not enough wins, too many defeats. Watching your team win is more appealing than watching them lose, and this is our worst season ever in terms of results. General decline in football attendances due to drop in disposable incomes and increased travel costs. Visiting fan numbers will be down too. Lack of quality football and entertainment at TCS. I would ordinarily expect next season's season ticket sales and average crowd to drop significantly due to our recent poor form, but the attraction of derbies will limit the damage (assuming we stay up).
  4. Whenever County sign a decent player, and they will no doubt get a few over the coming months, are we going to be angry that ICT didn't sign them? Lets get over it, now!

He was on the bench at Killie and I'd expect he will be again tonight. Perhaps even give him a run out when we're 3-0 up?
  6. Poor northstand. The last few weeks have been a pretty dismal time to be a Rangers, Man U and ICT fan!
  7. We are more deserving of relegation this season than we were when it actually happened in 2009.

True, but a Scotch Bonnet would keep him warm.
  9. Mackay signed and then got injured later that day, I believe.
  10. Great stuff, cheers.

Now needing 5 points from just 3 games to avoid setting our lowest SPL points tally. In fact it never mind SPL, we are on course for the lowest points tally in our 18 year history.
  12. The Livi game was the penultimate game of the season and not quite a decider. If we had won on the last day we could have won it if Livi dropped points, but neither happened. And the Dundee semi was just 1-0. But remember that the Dundee team had highly paid stars that they couldn't actually afford to pay, and they went into administration not long after. I demand a replay.
  13. No question for whatsoever for me that the famous night of ballisticism was the greatest moment for ICT, because unlike other great highlights mentioned, it was so unexpected and it rocked Scottish football. Arguably the greatest moment of my life too, but don't tell the missus I said that. Worst moment was again in the cup v Celtic, when just a few minutes away from knocking them out for the 3rd time in a few years, it all fell apart horribly. Me and Mantis just sat in stunned silence for the journey back down the A9.
  14. I pity the fools respect the brave souls who are travelling so far to cheer the team at a time when the team is giving us so little to cheer about. Hopefully the journey long home will eased by confirmation that relegation has officially been avoided.
  15. Don't think they were the first by any means - in fact didn't amateur side Eyemouth Utd (wee fishing village in the Borders) get to the same stage a few years before.
  16. I've met one of the panel members a couple of times. He lives very near an SPL ground and in one of the remaining fixtures, Rangers fans will be parking right outside his house.

Seems like Grindavik have a few British players including Shola Ameobi's brother and a couple of Scots who've been out there for most of their careers. One of them, ex-Partick Scott Ramsay, was jailed a few years ago over there for (unintentionally) killing someone who was chatting up his burd.
  18. Rather than ban him for life, they should have ordered him to turn up at every home game.

We tend to remember seasons by our final league position rather than points tally, so I looked up our SPL history to see how many points we got each season. 04/05 44 05/06 58 06/07 46 07/08 43 08/09 37 (relegated) 10/11 53 11/12 32 with 4 games to go The obvious question is whether we will end up with our lowest ever number of points in the SPL, which would simply confirm what a dismal season it has been for the fans.
  20. Did many County fans turn out?
  21. Is this because of others dropping out? I don't think he was named in the initial squad. Hope he gets to make an appearance of some sort.
  22. Middle of July 2010, pre-season.
  23. They didn't have money back then?
  24. Was this Owngolobart's 3rd OG for us?
