What went wrong..?
Until yesterday Hearts fans would have begged us to swap Nade for Niculae.

Baz Leaving ICT
He came on and played the 2nd half against Dundee today - the day in which both ICTs and St J's seasons ended.

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
I had thought about travelling up to this one. So glad I didn't, but my thoughts are with those who did make a long journey, or any sort of journey for that matter, to see a performance like that.

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
A team that lets Calum Elliot score 2 goals against them should all have their contracts terminated, immediately.
-
Baz Leaving ICT
It's on the official St J website that he has signed as a 1 month emergency loan and trained with the squad today. There's a pic of him at the ground, along with other loan signings Sean Lynch (Hibs) and Elton John, apparently.

Rangers fans new song
In between The Sash and Rule Britannia, Rangers fans were singing Swing Low Sweet Chariot at their game tonight. First time I've heard that one. Presumably they are doing it to imply affiliation the England rugby team, rather than showing empathy with black slaves? I can just imagine these Rangers fans having picnics before the game from the back of their Ranger Rovers, and then cracking open the Pimms to celebrate, before returning to their highly paid stockbroking jobs the next day.

What, already? :029:

Hearts Game
Or did FC Kaunas sell Hearts top scorer?!

Who's happy?
It's hard to be happy in a poor run of form like this, but 6 games into the season we were all wondering if we could overtake Gretna and finish the season in 11th place.

Martin Taylor - accident or scumbag ?
Every week there are worse challenges than that up and down the country, but they get forgotten within hours of the final whistle simply because no serious injury arises. Taylor's challenge is nothing compared to the assault on Scott Brown in a European tie a few months ago, which resulted in a ban of just a few matches for the perpetrator. In Taylor's case normal disciplinary procedures should apply. And Wenger should ask himself what his attitude would be if it was one of his players that committed a similar foul, because one day one of them will go in higher or harder.

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
Looking for a crumb of comfort, it sounds like we had a pretty good second half. And Marius perhaps put in his best away performance?
-
Baz Leaving ICT
A very disappointing development.

Marius check
Only a few weeks ago he was scoring regularly and people were wondering if we'd hold onto him in the transfer window. :029:

Surely it couldn't happen?
If Gretna can't complete the season then it would be correct to erase all their results and restate the league table unfortunately. I'd imagine that if administration occurs they could still field a team for the next 3 months, even if it largely comprises youth players. The real risk is whether they'd be able to pay Motherwell, stewards and police etc, to enable matches to go ahead.

Motherwell -V- ICT : matchday thread
Trying to look for positives, it sounds like we created more good chances than you would have expected.

Can I borrow a couple of quid.....?
Ironic that Tommy Sheridan once proclaimed comparisons with Gretna whilst celebrating his legal victory, given the week they are all having now. Reality bites. But that's another thread, and one which would have to be very closely monitored!

Can I borrow a couple of quid.....?
Is this story not just a simple case of the only person with authority to approve the payroll submission to the bank not being available to do so? Lack of contingency plan rather than lack of money.

whats the problem with flags Mr Smith???
The only time have have experienced one of those big surf banners was at a Sheff Utd v Norwich game years ago, and it passed over my head as the only goal of the game was being scored. :008:

What's Gaelic for "Unfortunately our cameraman missed the goal?"
There are talks taking place between the proposed new ?25m a year publicly funded Gaelic TV station and the SFL. Their aim is to show Division 1 games live on Friday evenings, with the commentary only in Gaelic. Bizarre as that may sound, it will probably generate larger viewing figures than anything else the channel will be broadcasting. Friday night football has been rejected before at SPL level due to police concerns, but this may not be an obstacle where crowds are much smaller.

Does anyone remember........................
We all want to see sparkling wit, banter and healthy debate........but the essence of on this website is very different to switching the TV on and expecting to be entertained. It's about interaction, and I guess that means we all need to make a bit more effort : start interesting threads and make good posts, rather than leaving it to others to do all the good work.

Bricks
I was sent an email from the club, with a pic showing that the named brick plaque thingy Mrs Y got me for Christmas has been put up. Does anyone know which wall of the stadium these bricks are located on?

Another Landmark Goal
Presumably the plea was from an ICT fan wanting to highlight the fact that we have scored 100 more goals than County, despite them being in easier divisions than us for almost half the seasons since admission to the league?
-
St Mirren -V- ICT : Matchday thread
Sounds like we were happy to hold out for 1-1. Not a bad result given our poor away form this season.
-
Rankin
He was invisible for large spells of the game. There was 1 good cross, a speculative shot that the keeper made a mess of, and a yellow card. He can do better than that.

8 Years ago today
"One team was showboating, and it wasn't the multi-millionnaires from the East end of Glasgow" :015: Oh what a night. I remember how much we cheered every time we got the ball or won a throw in. Best night of my life.
