  1. At present he's right up there in our league table of biggest ever wastes of money, he owes us a few goals and he really ought to get quite a few this season. But with so many striking options, it still remains to be seen how often he'll get a start.
  2. And yet you saw fit to give up a few moments of your life to read a thread entitled "Norwich City Manager Sacked", and then post on it?! Edit - and then post on it.....twice, and counting!
  3. Nairn's website says 75.
  4. I think I read that Burley has 2 wins from 12 matches. Winning 2 from 2 isn't going to happen. The SFA will wait until the campaign is over before getting rid of him.
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...rem/8182090.stm Saw this on BBC, mapping the birthplaces of current Premiership players. The map of the UK in the bottom left shows that there are none from anywhere north of Dundee. 20 years ago (the grey circles) there were 3 from Elgin area.
  6. You can always rely on Scotland to let you down. That was just dismal, against a poor international side with very predictable and basic tactics.
  7. I would certainly like to see his miltary battle tactics and formations.
  8. And then of course there's Les Fridge, Thistle to Chelsea. Plenty of great names here (and Les Fridge), but how many achieved a big step up in the last 25 years? What happened?
  9. Tokely went from HL to the lower leagues, and then progressed up with ICT over many years, which isn't quite the big step-up I had in mind.
  10. Was reading recently about the rapid rise of this young Scot, getting an U21 call-up and now a regular in Championship side Peterborough. He joined them a year ago from Cove Rangers, where he'd been for 3 seasons. I'm trying to think of other Highland League players of recent times who have gone on to much greater things, but I'm struggling. Ritchie Hart going to ICT was a success, but not as impressive a story as this Coutts chap.
  11. So we should have accepted Hamilton's offer then? :022:
  12. For Scotland U16, or Scotland representation at any level?
  13. How many points do you reckon Strathspey can get this season?
  14. You are right about them being strict killjoys at Dens. In fact I've recognised some of the very same stewards as we have had at Tannadice.
  15. for what exactly?
  16. Laws are changing shortly I believe, to allow off-sales from 9am til 9pm, 7 days a week.
  17. The fact you live in Crieff means there was no need to state the obvious in that respect. :P
  18. How can anyone complain about a perfectly legal activity that provides well paid employment, and keeps the participants fit at the same time? The problem is, is there enough sustainable demand for such a business in a small city like Inverness? How long can they keep it up for? I fear there could be an initial surge after which it just flops.
  19. We seem to have plenty of options upfront. In alphabetical order : Barrowman Foran Odhiambo Rooney Sanchez Sutherland Once we are fully into the season, everyone is fit and clear of suspension, what will the pecking order of our strikers be? I would expect Foran to be first choice, but can't decide how to rank the others.
  20. Brewster v Hearts, after we lost our first 6 games of the season.
  21. No worries Georgios, tonight we are all lovers of Cox.
  22. I've just remembered something from about 10 years ago. Last time we entered Division 1, we kicked off the season with a 4-0 defeat at Dunfermline.
  23. If they offered ?100k for Arfield who is a better player and has 4 years of his contract left, the amount they'd offer a 1st division player in the final year of his contract will probably be about ?25k. I suspect if we can push them up to anything near ?50k we'll accept.
  24. From what Butcher is saying/not saying, it looks like a 3rd bid is being made which will be acceptable to us.
