Wyness
Decent player to have in the squad, but not worth breaking the bank for.
-
Do you want to see Marius in an ICT shirt next season?
I voted no. He's got class but doesn't remotely justify his wage, and I'd rather have 4 new first team players instead, as well as a 6 figure transfer fee and an improvement in team spirit.

TWISTED OR WHAT
We don't have a board that tells lies, we have a message board of fans that are naive.

Statement - Orion Group
The BBC perhaps jumped to the same conclusions as many people on this site. All Orion are saying is that neither they nor Savage have made any payments directly to Niculae. They are remaining silent on the arrangement by which they may have have provided funds to the club for that purpose.

Statement - Orion Group
Can we take some consolation from the fact that that even at our lowest point we are still more professional than Liverpool FC?

I BELIEVE ..... in Brewster
I was a bit surprised by it too, but as he said, it's the first time he has seen the team with his own eyes this season and they are perhaps not as bad as he had been led to believe from other people's sometimes hysterical accounts.

Brewsters Last Game??
No it wouldn't, and no he won't.

Aberdeen Clearout
You could certainly drive a bus through the gaps.

Aberdeen Clearout
One of the Aberdeen 6 is Richie Byrne and if we go anywhere near him I will agree that the club is in one huge feckin mess!

What have we done now?
I suspect that most transfers of contracted players involve various degrees of tapping prior to a bid being made, with players often being informally sounded out about how they feel about moving to a certain club, through a string of intermediaries, agents, mutual acquaintances etc. It is very unusual for a club to report a complaint about it though, which suggests we might have been rather direct about it.

Has Niculae been worth it?
And yet you've spent the season mocking the prospect of him getting capped?
- Has Niculae been worth it?

Has Niculae been worth it?
He has a touch of class but hasn't lived up to expectations or been value for money. But if we could generate a transfer fee in the summer, it could all have been worthwhile.

SC Semi Final
For the QoS fans, this season is one big "GIRUY" to their local rivals!

Chairman resigns
Would have been more of a surprise if it did mention any!

ICT reserves beat Rangers
Not sure many Rangers fans would have been watching the rerun of the reserves game this evening! I've just watched it. The overall standard was lower than I expected, but the sodden pitch wouldn't have helped. The lad Ritchie Hart looked our best prospect. Rory was very poor :007:

Our Location
I would guess that for most unmarried Scottish footballers the most important things are : - money - being close to their mates neither of which makes it easy for ICT.

7031 ?????????
I think it was actually 731. The 0-0 result perhaps makes our win over Gretna seem a better result than many people thought.
-
Juanjos Back....................
I don't see how anyone can complain about a player being given a trial.

ICT reserves beat Rangers
I've just checked the Rangers TV schedules (something I never thought I'd say!) and the reserves game is being shown on Thursday at 5.45 and again at 8.15. I think their production team need a couple of days to edit the footage to portray a 5-0 win for them.

MARIUS NICULAE
I'm very surprised none of the conspiracy theorists have been along to suggest that this was a stunt set up by Savage to boost Niculae's image further. :017:

John Hughes/Craig Brewster
All very desirable, but expensive. Wouldn't we rather spend our limited resources on keeping our good players and attracting better ones?

How Many Players Do We Need For Next Season?
I would certainly imagine that the first slice of any transfer fee goes to Orion to reimburse their contribution to his wages.

Who'd be a football manager..?
Didn't realise Bayne was injured, but the manager would have still played McAllister, Wilson, or Patti up front instead if, as some would have you believe, he was so spiteful and egotistical.

Who'd be a football manager..?
Today's result will not change anyone's opinion of him. I remain unconvinced that he has the tactical nous to be a long term success with us, but much of the ill-informed criticism of other aspects of his management has been hysterical. Time will tell that the difficult Black and Wyness situations in particular were handled a lot better than he is given credit for. Off the top of my head I can recall a few criticisms on this forum in recent weeks that back-up the "who'd be a manager" theme. - he brought McAllister on - he didn't bring McAllister on early enough - he didn't play Wyness (oh, and he's a liar because he said he'd give him a chance before the end of the season) - he did play Wyness! - he hasn't freshened things up enough and given fringe players their chance - he made too many changes for the Killie game - he should be playing Hart more - why's he playing Hart when he's leaving in the summer? - he doesn't give flare players a chance - why's he even looking at Juanjo? - he's too loyal to dead wood players - What does he think he's doing dropping a legend like Wilson/Wyness/other player well past his best? - he should have informed us promptly what happened with Wyness/Black - he shouldn't be commenting publicly on dressing room matters I smile when I see posters stating confidently that they could do a better job. Stick to Football Manager! There's not a single poster on this site who could do a better job, despite what some of them confidently believe. Our fans have been spoiled with relative success for 14 years and we will have to learn to cope with bad spells a bit more rationally than we have done.
