  1. Surprise surprise. A jury of Liverpudlians found their local hero Gerrard not guilty. They agreed that he acted in self defence - obviously believers in the footballing philosophy about the best form of defence....
  2. More remarkable than Barry's achievement was surely the fact that a referee awarded a soft penalty against Celtic.
  3. Was 8 not someone from this site? Bingham Legend?
  4. It's because we are taking a 1 season gamble on going back up. If it doesn't work we'll be cutting back heavily on wages next season and these players, and the expensive management team, will be away. We then become just another First Division club for the next 5+ years like all who have gone before us.
  5. Schadenfreude I think.
  6. Was he the goalscorer? This is actually the European team that Steven Pressley was on the point of joining back in January, but it fell through and he ended up at Falkirk.
  7. Official site has an article. http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Squa...1725890,00.html
  8. Enough please, this argument is dragging things down and going way off topic.
  9. Fixed it for you. Most clubs only seem to take 5-10% of their home to support to away games.
  10. Dan Wagaluka Ugandan international winger, who after a trial with us last summer was linked with Hearts, but ended up joining Tanzanian club Azham for a reported US$40,000 transfer + US$20,000 signing on fee.
  11. We've had loads of trialists, especially in the last few seasons. Where are they now? Have there been any that we should be kicking ourselves for letting go? Not that I can think of anyway. I've looked up a couple of the more memorable names. Giany Joinville was a big defender who was here 2 years ago I think, as a potential replacement for Dods (we got McGuire instead.....). He seems to be at Libourne St Seurin in the French 3rd division. Their club badge is a penguin kicking a ball. Adriano Pellegrino was a young Australian forward who had a trial just before our first SPL season. He is now at Perth Glory (along with Eugene Dadi). He initially went to Greece for a season before heading back home.
  12. Hope they better than Scotland U21's....
  13. Lionel certainly ticks that box and could actually be our most creative player. Trouble is, when it comes to unlocking a defence, it tends to be our own.
  14. They've also managed to sell Joel Thomas for ?125,000 to Colchester according to BBC. A striker with 1 goal from 28 games?!
  15. The subject of creativity has cropped up recently on various threads regarding potential new signings, and it's clearly something the fans crave. A successful team needs someone with the skill and imagination to do something unpredictable that will unlock a defence. So who is our most creative player? Pretty depressing answer if you ask me, whoever you picked.
  16. A 20% drop doesn't sound too bad, until you factor in the % reduction in the price per season ticket as well.
  17. Crowds against lower league sides in the League cup seem to have attracted 1,000 - 1,250 in recent years. These ones are Saurday fixtures so should get more than that, but not much more.
  18. I thought that too.
  19. I thought that too.
  20. Not the mild mannered janitor from Hong Kong Phooey?
  21. Who was it who recently suggested that we bring in big Fijians and teach them how to be footballers? There have been some small keepers who make up for it with exceptional agility, but they are few and far between.
  22. v Brechin, the team were in plain all white kit (still with SPL logo).
  23. He is a Scottish GK Who used to play for Gers and Dunfermline who is 6 ft according to Reidford's Dunfermline profile. That must be in his high heels. I would have expected him to be no more than 5'10", having seen him dwarfed by everyone around him in the box.
  24. This Reitford we had in goal didn't put a foot wrong, albeit didn't really have much to do. The concern is that he looks very, very small for a keeper.
  25. Thought he was older TBH. He'll have to progress an awful lot physically to have any sort of chance, he lacks strength, pace an tackling ability. But he did Ok for a 17 year old. The other youngsters did pretty well, especially Morrison.
