  1. Marius looked very slow (now theres a shock) and wasn't in the game much, but he hasn't let himself or ICT down in this tournament. I'm still very surprised he got called up for the squad, and then surprised again that he got an appearance let alone a start.
  2. For me red and blue stripes is the only way to go so I'm not overly keen. But I would say that it's the best non-stripey one we've had.
  3. Out of curiosity I had a wee look into Hadji's recent career, and after a spell in the Middle East he has been playing in the Luxembourg 2nd division, which I'm guessing must be around Highland League level. Quite a fall from grace, unless they have some sort of Mileson paying him silly money. (He plays for CS Fola Esch, with Jeunesse Esch being the town's "big" team that people might have heard of. I've been there and it's not a big place!)
  4. Where they are coming from, as stated by a union spokesman last week, is that oil prices have rocketed and they want their "slice of the cake". :008: If you aren't happy with your job, go and get another one, like normal people do. There are plenty of people who will queue up to take your place, including RIG!
  5. Apparently if France and Italy draw and both go out, they will have to go through a meaningless penalty shoot-out tonight to decide 3rd place in the group. UEFA at its best.
  6. Correct, it wouldn't be deserved. But I'd still be there in Moldova, Iceland or wherever.
  7. Geez Alex, you're sounding like one of those bearded councillors with organic sandals, who want to abolish school sports day because not all the kids win. A team doesn't work their socks off to reach the final, they just play a few games, some against lower league opposition. It's hardly comparable with s 38 game league season against the best teams in the country. In recent years, cup runners up Dunfermline, Gretna and Dundee Utd have all been embarrassed in the qualifying round of the UEFA cup, and QoS are about to add to the erosion of our coefficient.
  8. Hang on a minute. We signed a classy striker on a free, he's been called up to play for the 12th ranked country in the world, played in a major tournament, is attracting attention from big clubs and is now worth a large 6 figure sum. And people are apportioning blame? :017:
  9. It now appears that the teams that topped Scotland's qualifying group are actually p1sh! And then we were thinking that for the World Cup, Netherlands would be very beatable......
  10. Confirmed signing for Rotherham. This will be the 8th club he has played for, aged 27. And to think, he was playing in major Scotland games when he was 19.
  11. At work I've seen an agreement that specified annual rent of 1 peppercorn, but we never got round to actually paying it.
  12. Think you've got it about right there (twice in 1 day!). But are there many other players at this tournament who would sell for as little as ?200k? He must also be one of the lowest paid.
  13. When you consider the disappointing season he and we have had, I had to pinch myself that he was actually playing in the Euros against France. And more significantly, he didn't look out of his depth.
  14. Portugal are a great attacking and entertaining side. Which sadly means they've got no chance.
  15. :015: It only took Motty a few minutes to get a mention in, that Switzerland played against England in the opening game of Euro 96. Slightly off-topic, but I enjoyed a discussion on Radio 5 this morning which went along the lines of : "Which team do you think will be this tournament's Greece?" "Err......Greece."
  16. You mean they reached the conclusion that France could be tougher opponents than Gretna or Arbroath? :004:
  17. The Perthshire Advertiser confirms what will come as no surprise to any of us, that St Johnstone and Dunfermline are very interested in Bayne. The article goes on to say : "The 28 year old still has 12 months left on his contract, but has indicated he would be prepared to talk to the Pars and Saints" Really?
  18. Can't believe he missed the opportunity to tell you to feck aff!
  19. "unfashionable Inverness" :015:
  20. So if they phone you up wanting your prediction for a feature as to where ICT will finish next season, and offer you a billion quid for it, you'll tell them to f off?
  21. I seem to recall a 2-2 draw in Galashiels, must have been about 1989? The Fairies were a team that were always in contention for a league place but have disappeared into obscurity in recent years. Which is a bit of a shame because in terms of geography and catchment area they would be better than most of the current contenders.
  22. That Ouzo does terrible things.....
  23. The Hinkel-Tokely swap is more realistic than them getting ?3m for Killen.
  24. I seem to recall that the opposition had a name like St Marks? I dug out an old Betamax with various ICT clips on it, but I didn't get beyond the first thing on the tape which was us winning the first division, including news footage of a group of us in front of the Innes singing " Are you watching Ross County?!" Happy days. :003:
