Who should replace Charlie Christie?
Parkie has turned down numerous offers to be a manager, he just prefers being a coach or assistant.

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
Caleythistleonline.com should be manager, with online polls for decision making. It'll save the club a salary, and this website is overflowing with people who know better than the professionals. Can someone start work on our application?

Charlie Christie resigns
I'm sad it hasn't worked out for him, but have much respect for him choosing to go on his own terms rather than clinging on like most managers do. Quite rare for a manger to step down when he has the full backing of the board and 99% of fans.

It Could Be Worse !
At least they have a point. And a fairly solid defence :007:

Stars above badges
Celtic shirts have a star above the badge, which I believe is to signify winning the European Cup. (Apparently they won it in Lisbon in 1967, but you never hear it mentioned) Aberdeen shirts have 2 stars above the badge, which I believe is to signify winning the European Cup Winners Cup and European Super Cup. What is the significance, if any, of Rangers having 5 stars above their badge?

who or whats to blame for our poor results?
Totally. A few deluded souls believed that Caff was the right replacement for Dods. I'm not sure if Charlie was one of them, or if he was being loyal to Caff and giving him a chance in the first team.

We are bottom!!!!!!!
We are indeed bottom, and deservedly so. There's still plenty time, but the best I'm now hoping for this season is 10th. Although I'd settle for 11th.

Look at the bench - loads of attacking options but no defenders. :024:

Marius uncovered
Aye, using a crappy online translation website just like someone did on here about a month ago to the very same Romanian article!

10cc has signed a 1year extension
We've had this before, it's because the pens at the stadium are filled with invisible ink.

Setanta Sports
Call them again and check the Sky Viewing Card number that they have in their system. It is possible that they have recorded it incorrectly, and every time they send a signal it is activating someone else. I think the channels that you can view just now are sometimes available unencrypted (ie seen by everyone) so that is a bit of a red herring, unless for some reason your Sky card originated in Ireland has been brought over here?

Excellent report, cheers.

New defender signed on loan
I'm not a fan of loan deals but they can help solve a short term problem, and we certainly have problems at the back. Given this guy's patchy injury record and our lack of both quality and quantity in defence just now, I would say we still need another defender before the window shuts.

Liam Keogh
The drilling rig reference is rather "crude".

Congratulations Rory!
Yes, a very surprising call-up, but one which will hopefully give him a boost.

NICULAE
Well, for starters the clue is in the name, Romania. Romanian language is Latin based, which is quite unusual for an East European language. Despite the influence of Slavic and other languages since the Roman empire collapsed, Romanians are able to understand some modern day Italian. So Marius should have no trouble interpreting a pizza menu. :017:

What other teams do you support?
I lived in Lille for a year and went to a lot of their games. They were terrible at the time and narrowly avoided relegation that year, but I recall a good win over the Marseille team that won the champions league. I still look out for their results and occassionally see a live game on Setanta. My dad used to take me to Roker Park when we were down visiting his relatives in that part of the world, so Sunderland are my "English team". I remember once we sneaked out of a wedding, into a taxi, and made it in time for kick-off. There weren't any other kilts on the terraces that day. Never been to the Stadium of Light though.

Sol Bamba wants away from Dunfermline
He's a terrible footballer. However, he has a strong physical presence and wins the ball. Just like Bobo Balde, he can be effective when he remembers his limitations and quickly passes the ball to the nearest teammate rather than trying to do something he is not capable of.

Charlie looking to sign a couple of new players
Who do you consider to be the midfield deadwood?

Charlie looking to sign a couple of new players
An imposing defensive presence and ballwinner is urgently needed. I hear Raith would be happy to get Marvin Andrews off their wage bill. However, he puts his church and faith healing above his football and would be unlikely to move away from Fife. I wouldn't be surprised if we make enquiries about Sol Bamba, but Dunfermline would be looking for more than a nominal fee.
