  1. I'd be peed off if ICT had signed him, so I can imagine how the fans of an established Top 6 team might feel. Must go and discuss it with the Dons fan in my office Was it also Calderwood that signed Young for Dunfermline?
  2. It's not as bad as "Real Salt Lake"!
  3. And from what I can see if you want to stick with their basic TV package, Setanta appears to be just £8/month extra, compared to £15/month last season. On Sky and Freeview I think it is £9.99/month, but I don't know if that's just for a few months or for the whole season.
  4. Perhaps you could add a "Techy Camera Geeks" discussion forum, where nerds can compare the size of their zooms. :016:
  5. Are you referring to Eddie Thomson's transfer dealings?
  6. Dundee Utd have released a DVD of the highlights of last season.
  7. That would be good, but I'm wondering if Setanta's contract with the SPL stipulates that whoever gets the rights to highlights is not allowed to show them so soon after the match. I can't think why else STV would have shown them at 11pm on a Monday.
  8. Because the rules of association football only allow you to field 11 players! :029:
  9. If he proves his worth, I'm sure the players will be happy to have him here regardless of wages. The trouble starts if he turns out to be no better than the other strikers and can't hold down a first team place.
  10. The signing is however subject to obtaining a work permit. How straightforward will that be?
  11. Some of the grounds will certainly bring him down to earth!
  12. Would this be the first time ICT have had a player who has his own website?! A sure sign of star quality! :015:

Looks like they have openly emailed Rangers ticket info to everyone registered with the official site. There are ways of concealing other recipients' email addresses, the simplest of which is to use "bcc" rather than "To". It doesn't bother me personally, but I'm sure there are many people on that list who would rather their email addresses were kept private. Reply and tell them that. Moreover, it's just not wise for any business to publicise the contact details of pretty much its entire customer base. This shouldn't be allowed to happen again, and I suspect it won't.
  14. Probably when they fiddled the half-time draw!
  15. Agreed, but shouldn't we be thrashing Qatar U20s?
  16. If we don't get that particular Romanian it's far more likely that we'd go for for his legendary compatriot Vlad Tepes rather than any of the players mentioned above. An experienced captain, doesn't take any prisoners, and prolific in attack. Sounds exactly what we need.

He had plenty of pace, but other than that didn't make much of an impression and was mainly used as a sub. Went back to Rangers who released him shortly afterwards.
  19. Fully deserves a shot at the big time, hope he does well.

Rangers plundered the Austrian league and the best they could find was Sebo!

It is absolutely true that geography is a factor in the minds of players. We have lost actual players and missed out on numerous signing targets (most recently Buchanan) who have stated it as a key factor. It's not so much an issue for Aberdeen because a) It's a shorter journey to the central belt, on a much better road. b) More significantly they pay much higher wages, high enough for players to accept being away from their family and friends.
  22. Why, are the seats far from the pitch?! :016:
  23. My only recollection of Scarborough was when they first got into the league (old Div 4). In their first home match, some (away?) fans were showing off, jumping around on the corrugated iron roof of the terracing. What happened next is predictable, and nearly got them a Darwin award.
  24. Where is he now? He went to Alloa after us, but I don't think he made the grade there either.
  25. Barry Wilson, for both his spells with us.
